“We can gif you z’e Super Room—if you are all right wiz’ sharing a king?”
Jarl and Manus look at each other with some strange mix of amusement and apprehension. While, admittedly, Jarl is growing used to spending his nights in the same bed as Áesta, Manus is… new.
As a bed partner.
He’s not entirely sure he’s comfortable with that. The idea
of laying with Áesta is (now) fine—it feeds him which means Jarl is paying his
due like a good Christian—although, given all the things he’s been doing
lately, perhaps he’s not such a good Christian in the eyes of his Lord… he DID
just leave a huge storm in Castlegodry, after all, which didn’t seem at all at
all expected but DID occur after he literally exploded at Manus…—but Manus???
That seems… too much.
Surprisingly, judging by the slight frown on his face, it seems to be such for the mage, too.
~
But it’s not too much for Áesta.
“T’at’s fine!” Jarl splutters as the tiny daemon grins, torn between wringing the secretly green being’s neck and going along with it because Britta just seems so happy to help them all.
(What clever customer service HR hired her???)
“Now, h-hold on a minute…”
Britta and Áesta both turn to pout up at Jarl and the priest
has to stop himself from swearing at how CUTE he they both are.
Luckily (or suspiciously…), Manus actually nods along with him, “Is that really
cheaper?”
It isn’t as though they need that much space: they’ll be out more often than not.
“Not 100,” Britta admits, looking apologetic. “But it IS best option as z’e Triple Room is booked.”
“Ah…” Jarl nods understandingly (noting that even Manus deflates a bit—but Áesta seems very happy…).
“Then we’ll take the Super.”
