Thorne comes home. Jin goes greet him. ‘Welcome back.’ Looking at Thorne, he notices there is a stain on his button up shirt. Looking at it more closely, it looks like a bloodstain. ‘Are you alright? What happened?’
Now Thorne notices the bloodstain as well. ‘Ah… I had a minor nosebleed, it must have happened then.’
‘Were you okay?’ Jin asks again.
‘It was just a nosebleed why wouldn’t I?’
Didn’t he say he couldn’t handle the sight of blood? The doctor said so and Thorne even confirmed it. Maybe it isn’t as bad as Jin assumed?
In the evening Jin goes over all the things that happened that day. Just when he thought staying with Thorne for another month wouldn’t be bad, he got many signs telling him not to stay here too long in one day. First that creepy forest, even though it might have been nothing, Jin doesn’t feel at ease about it, then those paintings, that actually made that forest seem creepier, and lastly Thorne’s bloodstain. Even though it really could be from a nosebleed, the position of the stain on the collar would most likely be different, also the way the doctor and Thorne said Thorne can’t handle blood, it suggested it was pretty extreme. Then again, maybe Thorne just didn’t want to talk about it.
The next few days are regular again, so Jin almost stops thinking about everything.
Then a few days later, in the morning while Thorne and Jin are having breakfast, there is knocking on the door. Jin asks who it could be, but Thorne doesn’t know either. Thorne tells Jin to just continue eating, and he’ll go open the door. Jin hears Thorne open the door, and he hears a male voice greeting him cheerfully. Thorne speaks with him for a while. It sounds like they are close. It’s the same feeling Jin got when he heard Thorne on the phone another time. Maybe it’s the same person. Jin decides to go take a look who it is.
As soon as the stranger at the door sees Jin, he walks towards him. ‘Ah, it really is him… How nice to meet you, so you’re the little human Thorne has been keeping!’ Jin is confused, so he doesn’t actually notice anything wrong with what the man said. He also sees Thorne frowning, which he hasn’t seen before so it’s special.
The man continues to walk from Thorne to Jin and back and saying random stuff. Then he takes a package out of his bag and gives it to Thorne. ‘Right, I brought you this as a gift, so let me in for a moment. You had some stuff you wanted to discuss, and I bet you haven’t taken out your pet for a while so let’s go to the city after.’
Thorne takes the package, and rubs his forehead, before showing him inside. He quickly goes upstairs to put the package away, and when he returns, they all sit in the living room and he introduces them to each other. ‘Jin, this is Silver, a childhood friend of mine. He can say some weird stuff, but he isn’t a bad person. Overall. Silver, this is Jin, since he lost everything, I’m letting him stay. Please behave normally as long as you’re here.’
Silver is also tall. He’s almost as tall as thorne. His hair is mid-length and wavy. The color of it is platinum blond or silver-ish. His eyes are blue, but they seem to be a purple kind of shade of blue. He is dressed more casually than Thorne. He has a short-sleeved shirt with a black jean jacket over it, and he’s wearing converse sneakers. Jin stares at both at them together. They’re both very good looking compared to the average, and they both have a very unique eye color. ‘Nice to meet you.’ He mumbles to Silver.
‘Nice to finally meet you too! Now let me borrow Thorne for a little while, we’ll be right back, okay?’ With that Silver and Thorne walk to Thorne’s study and start discussing something.
Jin minds his own business, but occasionally overhears some parts of what they’re saying. They discuss various things, but it seems they’re also discussing him. Silver asks something about what Jin knows, and Thorne tells him nothing, but that he’s remembering parts. They also discuss other parts about him, but Jin can’t hear them clearly.
Luckily it doesn’t seem as suspicious as the other things Jin overheard Thorne say previously.
About half an hour later, Thorne and Silver come back. All together they eat lunch, and Thorne announces they will be going to the city after their meal.
During their drive to the city this time there is no silence. Silver asks Jin a lot of stuff to get to know him better, and they can hold a conversation for a long time. It seems they share some interests, and even though Jin thought at first that Silver might also be kind of suspicious or weird, he finds that Silver is actually a very nice person, someone he could totally be friends with. They also exchange numbers before they even reach the city. Thorne is watching the whole thing through the mirror, and isn’t all that happy about it.
