Soon Jin gets his first drink. It’s a mix made by Natasha, and Jin compliments the taste of it. Jin finds that just like Silver, these other people are also very talkative and friendly, and he indeed won’t get bored with them like Orion says. After a little while, Jin even moves from his place besides Silver to between Orion and Natasha. They let him try many more drinks. Luckily Jin’s alcohol tolerance isn’t too low, and he knows his own limits. Also, he never blacks out after drinking or anything, so he sees that as a good thing as well.

After talking to them for what doesn’t feel like that long, Jin suddenly remembers they came to the city with Thorne. He calls out to Silver. ‘Hey, actually aren’t we supposed to meet up with Thorne sometime to go back together?’

‘No, he had some of his own business and he can return alone, and we can have fun together. Also, I don’t need to get back anywhere, I actually live in this city. But if you want Thorne to pick you up after you want to go home, I can give him a call. Otherwise, he can just return alone, and I’ll make sure to get you home.’

‘Oh okay. No, then it’s fine, no need to bother him.’

Just as he says that, Silver’s phone starts ringing. He takes a look at it and sighs. ‘I’m sorry, I have to take this. Have fun without me for a while, and behave.’ Then he walks out of the room.

Just after Silver walks away from the room, Orion and Natasha sit a little closer to him, pour him a new drink, and continue their previous conversation. Cassius also joins in for a little, but he stays more focused on Blake, who he is now tightly hugging from behind. Even though Jin continues the conversation mostly with Orion and Natasha, he can’t help catching glimpses of what Cassius is doing. It seems he’s now moved on to kissing Blake’s neck and biting it gently. Jin looks away with a slightly flushed face, as he isn’t used to two people being this intimate in front of others. He even mises something Natasha tells him.

The next time he looks at Cassius, he sees him biting down pretty hard on the front of the other’s neck. Jin flinches. That looks like it hurts and could potentially be dangerous. As expected, when Cassius moves away from Blake’s neck, there is a little blood smeared on both of them.

Jin looks a little horrified. He’s never seen something like this. Thorne couldn’t look at this either he thinks. Natasha sees the look on his face and asks ‘You haven’t seen anything like this before? You seem surprised…’

‘Of course, I haven’t! That doesn’t seem safe right, what if something happens? It looks painful and dangerous.’

‘… Oh. It seems we might have misunderstood something, Silver should have been clearer with us…’ Jin wonders what exactly she means. ‘So you and Thorne aren’t like that huh...’ she mumbles, and Jin doesn’t hear it.

Orion looks at Natasha for a second and then speaks up. ‘Well, you don’t have to worry about them at all. Just look at Blake’s face, he doesn’t look like he hates it at all right? Don’t worry, it doesn’t hurt either, but I get why you’d think that way, I would think so too.’

Jin looks at Blake, and his face indeed doesn’t show any signs of pain, instead it looks more like some sort of pleasure. Jin wonders if this is some weird kink they’re into.

Orion hands him a glass of something that smells and tastes much stronger than the previous drinks. ‘Anyway, since you seem curious about them, wanna know how it feels to be bitten like that?’ As he says this, he gets a little closer.

‘Ehm, doesn’t that seem kind of weird?’

‘Don’t worry about it, it won’t hurt, and I promise I won’t do anything you don’t want me to.’

Jin thinks about it for a moment, but he does feel a little curious. Well, trying can’t be that bad right? Even if it seems weird doing something like that with a stranger. Jin finishes the drink and feels a little warmer on the inside. He feels a little unusual, but doesn’t pay it any attention. ‘Alright then, but be careful. Don’t do anything else that’s weird okay?’

Orion leans closer to his neck and halts for a second. ‘Wait I thought Thorne didn’t do anything like that, didn’t we conclude he doesn’t belong to Thorne?’ He mumbles. Jin can’t hear him properly, partially as an effect of the drink, so he asks what he said. ‘Nothing, don’t worry about it.’ He says with a smile and leans closer till his lips touch Jin’s neck. Then, he bites down, and Jin feels the teeth go through his skin. It’s true it doesn’t hurt as much as he expected. Instead, there is some sort of electrifying feeling going through his neck, and his thoughts get blurry.

He can hear Natasha say something like ‘Hey, stop it, you shouldn’t touch someone else’s…’ but he can’t fully process the sentence. It seems Orion has already let go of him a while ago, but he still can’t think straight. It seems he will need to keep lying still on the sofa for a moment. Soon he falls asleep.

Silver returns to the room. Immediately he spots what has happened. ‘I told you to behave! Fuck, do you want to get killed? And that when he should still be marked?! Natasha why didn’t you stop him, I thought at least you would have some common sense!’
