‘How long is he going to just stand there?’, Argons asked himself as he looked at Lazerus.
Argons stood in the middle of his own office waiting, while Lazerus stood outside on the balcony and Gabriel was preparing some coffee.
“Father, your coffee is ready”, said Gabriel as he placed the cup on the desk.
“Quite the view you have here Throsmore.”
“You’re able to view over half of the city from up here”, Argons smirked.
Lazerus then stepped inside and took a seat behind the desk. He took a sip of his coffee and then placed it back down.
“Tastes like shit.”
“Forgive me father”, Gabriel bowed his head.
“Where are the files I asked you to retrieve?”
“They are being prepared right now.”
“Then why are you here?”
“....”, Gabriel gritted his teeth.
“I’ll excuse myself”, Gabriel bowed and left the room.
“Children, what pitiful creatures they are”, said Argons as he shook his head.
“Let’s get down to business. Reports on project B?”
“It’s near completion. In fact, I believe that I already have a suitable host.”
“Good. The king was already growing impatient with you.”
Argons let out a nervous laugh.
“Let’s go”, Lazarus said as he stood up.
“Where to?”, Argons asked confused.
As if he was made out of smoke, Lazerus took out a box from within his chest and said:” to finish project B.”
…..
Back at the hut.
Tsander steps out of the bathroom and sits on his bed. On his bed next to him there’s a small obsidian box which he picks up.
“7 months. It took me 7 months to make this. Time sure is merciless.”, Tsander chuckled.
Right as Tsander was about to open the small obsidian box his stomach rumbled.
“Time to get some grub."
Tsander enters the kitchen to see the mess Tujitou had left behind.
“I’ll make sure to teach that kid some discipline when he gets back”, his stomach rumbled again.
“I hope the kid left me at least something to eat”, he said as he looked through the kitchen, but all he could find were old bread crumbs.
“Now I even have to go out and do groceries. The kid sure is spoiled.”
As he's about to leave the house he thinks to himself:'best to check up on Alex while I'm on the way.'
…..
“So this is it?”, Lazerus said as he looked at Tujitou.
He unconsciously laid strapped up to a metal table. Every visible inch of his body was either bruised or cut. His face was so disfigured you couldn’t even tell where his eyes were.
“Yes. Amazing isn’t it? A worthless dud like that will become one of the king’s greatest weapons.”
“Why’s it damaged?”, Lazerus glared at Argons.
“It was quite resilient. Every time we tested on it, it put up a fight. So in turn, I had to teach it some manners. Of course, once the heart is in place it will heal all of its damage away.”
“Hmmm. Well, get to it then.”
“Yes, yes. No time to waste”, even though Argons was in his late 50’s, he became as energetic as a child when Lazerus handed him the box.
Argons hurried to Tujitou and opened the box. Inside there was a pitch-black crystal that radiated a crimson-red light at the center.
As if he was placed in a trance, Argons stared at its crimson light.
‘Such beauty’, he thought to himself.
“Throsmore!”
“Oh yes, yes. Forgive me.”
Argons then grabbed the crystal from out of the box.
“Now. After years of failed experiments, I shall finally prove my worth. Hail the Unchained!”, he yelled as he stabs Tujitou with the crystal through the heart.
