I was sleeping soundly in bed when I felt someone breathing on me. I opened my eyes and someone, or something with big red glowing eyes was staring at me. I thought it was Luciela, but this person...this thing...it had no soul. I felt something drip onto my head. Drip. Drip. Drip. It was blood. But who’s? I frantically look around but don’t see anything. That’s when the pain hits me. I looked down and she punctured my abdomen in several spots. The blood is mine...I tried to scream but she covered my mouth. I don’t have the energy to fight back.

“ shhhhh it’s going to be okay” She reassured me. But nothing about this was okay. It hurt so bad but I mustered the energy to stick out my tongue and lick her hand. Hoping it would make her move for even just a second.

“Jesus christ Riya! What’s wrong with you?” She said jumping backward. This gave me just enough time to scream for help.

That’s when I woke up and Luciela tried to calm me down. I think she could tell that I was scared of her at that moment by my facial expression. I tried to get it under control, but I was just frozen. I could tell she was cooking something in the oven by the tasty smell that coated the whole room. After a couple of minutes of holding my hand trying to get me to wake up, she left and went to what I think was the bathroom. She gave me a pill of some sort but I don’t know what it was. Maybe a NyQuil? Then everything went black again.
