Today is the day when we finally meet Retrogade.

Me and Dae have been so excited for the whole month to meet them.

We were set to meet in the dance studio, so I’m already there, being trailed by Dae.

A few members, maybe three or four, of Retrogade were in the studio, dancing to a demo of Give it to Me.

It was Sin, Shadow, Yisoo, and Vanity. Sin and Yisoo were dancing, Shadow was recording, and Vanity was drinking water.

Vanity notices us right away and smiles at us. “Hey, I’m Kae-Byeok, but you probably know me better as Vanity from Retrogade. You two must be from Heartmakers, right?”

“We are! We’re Zero and Dawn.”

“But our real names are Zelo and Daeseul. I’m Daesul, nice to meet you, Kae-Byeok-ssi.”

“You can call me hyung, Daesul, we work together. It is nice to meet you both. The other five members are currently in another meeting, but let me introduce you to the others.” Kae-Byeok then turns to the others before saying, “Guys! Come meet the rookies!”

The music stops, and the three look at us. Shadow pauses his recording of the other two dancing. He then gets up and waves. “Hi you two! I’m Namjoon, otherwise known as Shadow. You two are Zero and Dawn, right?”

“Yeah, how do you know us?”

“I’ve seen you guys around, plus Sinnie is always talking you up, Zero.”

“Huh?”

“He’s seen your pre-debut work and has seen you work at the studio. He’s a fan of you.”

“Correct I am.” Sin says with a happy smile. He’s topless, with a towel around his neck. “It’s nice to officially meet you, Zero and Dawn. Zero, I was hoping we could work together on something for my upcoming solo album, I’d love to have your voice one on of my songs.”

“Maybe we could work up something for the upcoming awards show?”

“The Melon Music Awards?”

“Mhm.”

“I have a song set up for me as a solo, maybe we could do a collaboration remix on it and do some choreography?”

“Sounds lovely.”

Did I just score a collaboration with Sin of Retrogade?!?!

“Also, just so you know, you can call me Jangseok. That’s my real name. Yisoo’s stage name is his real name, just so you know.”

Shadow (Namjoon) basically jumps on Jangseok, arms around Jangseok’s shoulders, planting a kiss on his cheek.

They look so happy, I love it. They look so cute together too.

Jangseok grabs Namjoon’s face to kiss him, a happy smile on his face.

And out of nowhere, I fall to the floor, hitting my head on someone’s stomach.

I look around to see Mars on the floor, laughing, my head on his lap from how I fell. “Hi Moonie.”

“Hi Z.”

“Uh, hyungs, this is Moonbyul, his stage name is Mars.”

“I’m Jangseok, AKA Sin, and this is my boyfriend Namjoon, whose stage name is Shadow” he says as we’re helped up.

Mars clings to me, giggling and talking to the Retrograde hyungs.

I look over to Daesul and he is talking to Shadow, who was trying to learn choreography from him.

Shadow ruffles Daesul’s bubblegum hair, giggling. “You’re a good dancer, Daeseul-ssi.”

“You should see Zelo hyungie” is his response. He then walks to me and pulls me by the hands over to Namjoon. “C’mon hyung! Show Namjoon-hyung something!”

“You’re too energetic…” I mumble with a half-hearted groan. Daeseul was tall, but he looked like a small little puppy. It was impossible to say no to him.

So I dance to the first song I can think of, Sin’s Summer Skies.

The song starts to play, and I continue to dance. It makes me feel liek I was back in Daegu, back home, dancing to my heart’s content.

I miss it, but I love being an idol just a bit more.

When I finish dancing, Dae gives me the tightest hug and continues to giggle and compliment me.

“Damn, Zero. You’re amazing. You better be one of the dancers.”

“He and I are actually the main two choreographers. Z is absolutely amazing.”

Daeseul gives me a tight hug from behind, smiling happily.

“You’re amazingly talented, Z. Namjoon-ssi is right.”

“Why thank you.”
