October- Ten Months After Falling
(No One's POV)
"First one to the courtyard gardens and back wins, ready" Gamer and Mike got into starting positions "Go!" the two ran past Jackal and down the corridor "What's going on?" Aristomache asked, eyebrow raised "Testing Gamer's speed, if he's faster than Mike, grandfather said I could take him to the training course-" "Putting hope into a fallen" Jackal rolled his eyes at Aristomache's words "Just watch". Gamer was a bit behind Mike, until they got to the staircase. Gamer jumped onto the railing and slid down the staircase, pass Mike. Once at the bottom, he jumped off and ran to the courtyard, a good few feet in front of Mike. Gamer made it to the courtyard gardens, now running back to the palace while Mike ran towards him. As they ran past each other, Mike tripped Gamer, he ended up doing a bit of a commando roll before continuing to run. Jackal and Aristomache walked out to the balcony to watch the the two race as Mike finally made it to the courtyard gardens and turned back towards the palace. Mike transformed into a wolf, making him able to run faster and catch up to Gamer. Gamer could see the wolf's sharp teeth in the corner of his eye "What's Mike doing?" Aristomache asked, panic in her voice as Jackal smiled a bit "He's giving him no other choice" "What do you mean?" Jackal looked at his cousin, then back at the two below "If he wants to win, he has to use his powers". Gamer's eyes glowed as his hands blackened, next thing you know, a shadow trips Mike and grabs him by the leg as Gamer continued to run. Running into the palace, Gamer made the mistake of looking behind himself... seeing a pissed of wolf run towards him. He sprinted up the stairs to the second floor, about to run into a guard. Last second, Gamer turned into shadow, the guard froze as the black smoke went through him, turning back into Gamer who kept on running, while Mike accidentally ran into the poor frightened guard. Gamer kept running until he was back at the 'starting line', Jackal and Aristomache walked over to him, Gamer was a bit tired. In the distance, Mike had transformed back to his original state, limping over to the others "Well done Gamer" Jackal smiled "Thanks..." Gamer looked up at Aristomache, seeing no signs of emotion on her face "Hurry up Mike-" "Oh I'd like to see you race a fallen-shadow-walker thing-" "Called 'Hell's Beast' but complains like a child" Aristomache rolled her eyes. Aristomache turned to Jackal "Grandfather wants to talk to you and the fallen, and Mike if he ever makes it there" "Fuck off" Mike growled.

Jackal and Gamer walked to Satan's study, waiting by the door "Come in" the two demons walked in, seeing Death there too "I've decided that you'll be officially allowed out of the castle, free to wonder as you choose" Satan told Gamer "Alright, what's the catch" Gamer asked, crossing his arms "You'll be trained here at the place by Jackal, trained like every guard is and you'll be living with Death since you two are friends". The last part surprised Gamer since the first day of him being here, they weren't allowed near each other, but..... this place is just full of surprises....

(Angel's POV)
"The dream-caters have finished have finished work early today and the deadcarriers are asking for a raise- are you listening?" Aristomache looked down at me then back at the sky as we stood on the balcony "Yeah just... one day, there'll be a new king or queen on the throne-" "You've been on the throne since you were 14, you've been on the throne for ninety three years now, you've still got decades before-" my words faded as in the corner of my eye, I saw someone walk down the corridor. "Sound a bit like Tariel... he told me the other day that he sees Jackal in you" "Really? He said that?" Tariel is kind of like Aristomache's partner/husband, thing is that neither of them can take the other's last name... Tariel is one of the most powerful overlords down here known for poisonous advice, but demon or not, he's kind of got a heart of gold. "I would agree that you and Jackal have a few things in common like stubbornness" "Well Jackal's the only other reaper I've ever seen or met, red-haired torture demon and tiny fallen-angel-shadow-walker don't count". Aristomache looked down at all the buildings near the palace "Would... would you trust Death with the fallen?... even after what he did to you?" I thought about it for a little bit "Guess I would... Death became a different person after being in Heaven-" realization hit me "You guys are letting him take care of the fallen, aren't you?" "Only because they've become friends and he'll keep him safe, besides Death lives with his employees as well, I trust June enough to make sure everything's alright when Death isn't around". "Probably the first time in forever you actually have a better plan"... something feels wrong "I have to go check on something" Aristomache let me go. I rushed down the corridors until I caught sight of the person I saw earlier, so.... I decided to follow them, only reason why is that you don't always see an ordinary demon walk about a castle with a hood on. I ended up following them to the Beast Wing until- "Elizabeth?" I jumped a bit at Mike's voice, looking up at him "What are you doing in the Beast Wing?" he asked "I u-um.... I forgot-" "Really? Because what it looked like to me was that someone got curious and decided to follow a guy" and I've been busted. "I suggest you go back to the Eclipse or Reaper Wing, and I'll forget this happening" I signed "Fine" I started walking back, still feeling like something was off....

(Gamer's POV)
"So you met June, this is Nile" the guy behind the bar waved as I gave a small wave back "And over there is Alan, Martin and Zakaria" Death had given me the last empty employee room, kind of introduced me to everyone and meanwhile I feel as awkward as hell. Zakaria walked over with some clothes she gotten out of the supply room and gave them to me "Kind of had to guess your size, but I'm pretty sure these would fit" "Thanks-" wait, this is a uniform, a waiter uniform- "Thought that it'd be very awkward for you to just be here and watch us work so... I got an idea and-" "It was a good idea" I assured Death, he seemed a bit relieved. "Okay then, we'll each be taking turns teaching ya how to do the job... and it'll probably help you be less clumsy" Death smirked "Hey- its not my fault I keep tripping over stuff" we laughed a bit, then June insisted to teach me how to be a waiter first.....
