-The day when Venaira’s hospital room exploded-
Smoke bombs were thrown out in the room before huge purple flames engulfed it. A few minutes after the flames had dissipated, four people went inside to inspect the scene.
“Oooh~ damn~ her flames left no ash!” His ears perked up while brushing his snow colored hair. “Bruh, you didn’t even leave any bones.” A woman with a dark hue of skin voiced out and glanced at the lady in long twin tails. “Not really.” The twin tailed hair snappily replied.
“Are you satisfied now, boss?” The man grinned and looked in the direction of their boss. Blonde locks and sienna burnt eyes, it was none other than Venaira’s step mom. She walked and scanned the surroundings and one object caught her eye. It was Venaira’s bracelet that was gifted to her by her late mother.
“Now that’s strange.” She mumbled after picking up the ornament. “What’s that?” the man asked with a curious look. “It’s her bracelet. It should’ve been turned into ashes with it’s owner, so why is it still here?” Asked Ayana, their boss.
“Well, she won’t survive even if she tried to jump out of the window. You said that she’s broken and useless, meaning that she doesn’t have an Astral ability. Hailey’s ability is a very powerful offensive attack, maybe the bracelet fell off of her.” The man hypothesized while tapping his chin.
It was true that Venaira was an easy target to kill because she didn’t have any ability, but it’s another story if her sister was there at that time. Fortunately, she wasn’t even there to save her little sister.
Seeing the bracelet made Ayana nervous and wary so she asked the three of them to search the hospital grounds and the nearest streets because it’s possible that she could’ve survived a fall. “They say miracles happen sometimes even to a beggar, who knows, maybe she actually survived a fall with a few misaligned bones.” Ayana stated with her eyes fixated on the broken window.
“Really? We already threatened the doctor to not treat her and just put patches on her. She already had a few crack bones here and there so I won’t believe it if she actually survived this shit.” Giana grumbled before heading out, the two of them trailing behind leaving Ayana inside the room.
Ayana looked far from a distance and smiled wickedly. “Soon, just a little longer and I’ll be at the apex of this food chain.”
