My mom dropped me off at school about five minutes ago and I still haven't gotten the courage to go inside yet. I was going to, but then I heard all the noise on the other side and my breathing got all out of control so I thought it would be best to try and calm down first.

I let out a shaky breath as I reached for the door handle for the fiftieth time and was startled when the loud sound of a bell ringing came from inside the school. I let out an exasperated sigh as I closed my eyes contemplating what to do before deciding that I should just give up and go back home.

I can just tell Mom that I tried and that I can just do online school instead

Just when I was about to turn around, I was stopped by the sudden feeling of large arms wrapping around me. The smell of wet grass hit my nose and I immediately recognized the scent. I slowly lean my head back to see my girlfriend, Alex, looking down at me.

"Well, are you going to go in?" She said, slightly smiling when her eyes meet mine. Her usually long wavy brown hair was put into a messy bun and she was wearing a black shirt with grey sweat pants. Is that a part of the dress code?

I feel her hand lightly nudging me forward bring me out of my thoughts. "I-i don't wanna." I stuttered out with my voice coming out quieter than I meant it to and I guess she didn't hear me because the next thing I know the door of the school is open and I'm being pushed in.

"Wa- wait, Alex, I'm not ready," I say as I start to grip the hem of the light blue sweater I was wearing, a bunch of different pheromones hit me all at once making my breath hitch and my eyes start to water. I clutch at my chest and close my eyes trying to remember the breathing exercises my doctor had told me to use.

I suddenly feel myself being turned around as my small body is pulled into a much larger and warmer one, not even seconds later the smell of Alex's pheromones starts to engulf my nose replacing the ones from before. I hear her whisper something into my ear as she places her head on top of mine and I lean my head deeper into her chest focusing on the beat of her heart. 

After a minute or two, I tap her side letting her know that I've calmed down and she releases me from the tight hug, "sorry amore." She said.

I smiled at the pet name she said "It's alright." I said, she looked at me one more time, giving me a guilty smile before draping her arm over my shoulder and guiding me down the hall.

We go around the corner then stop in front of a large door, "this is the office, we're going to get your schedule from here, and then I'll walk you to your class after" she says as she opens the door.

As we walk in the room goes quiet and I look up to see everyone's eyes on us some with disgusted looks on their faces. I grab onto the bottom of Alex's shirt as I look down at my feet to try and distract myself from panicking again.

There's some shuffling and then I feel Alex grab my hand before she's pulled into a separate room. I peek up to see a tall man standing in front of us and instinctively try and hide behind Alex. I could tell that he's an alpha from his build and height, the dude is like a giant, he's even taller than Alex and that's saying something since she's like 6'1.

"Miss Rodriguez I'd like to remind you that there are a lot of unclaimed omegas at this school, you can't just go around releasing your pheromones."

I look up towards Alex as she nonchalantly shrugs her shoulders before apologizing. The tall man let out a frustrated sigh before looking over Alex's shoulder, finally noticing me standing behind her. Alex followed his gaze to me and wrapped her hands firmly around my shoulders dragging me in front of her. "This is principal Alpha."

"That's not my nam-" the tall alpha starts to say but is cut off by Alex as she continues on with the introduction.

"He's the principal of this school and the guy who'll be giving us your schedule." She finishes saying, looking at the alpha with an amused smile on her face. The alpha glared letting out yet another frustrated breath of air and even though I knew it wasn't directed towards me it still made me uncomfortable, I subconsciously started to fidget with my fingers but was stopped when Alex grabbed both my hands and pulled them to my sides, I looked up at her but she was still looking back at the other alpha.

"Can we get the schedule now? We are already ten minutes late," she said and I watched as the alpha looked down at her hands that were still holding mine at my sides, before turning his attention to me. He asked me for my name and after giving it to him he left the room and a few minutes later came back and handed Alex a small piece of paper. Alex thanked the older alpha and then grabbed my hand as she turned to walk out the room, once we were out we went back through the main office and out into the hall.

Once we were in the hall she stopped and glanced down at the small paper that was given to her before grabbing my hand again and walking down the hall, we took a turn and I let out a groan when I see that we're heading towards a large case of stairs. As we started to head up the stairs Alex explains to me that there are six floors at the school and that my first period was on the fourth floor.

"T...th..is is...hell" I huffed out. We were barely passing the second floor and my legs were already starting to burn. I heard a muffled sound and I looked over to see Alex with one hand over her mouth covering up what I assumed was a laugh and I glower up at her as I stop to catch my breath.

"Even though watching you try and look intimidating is cute, we're both already late so we should probably hurry up," she said while continuing to walk up the stairs with ease.

"Stupid alphas and their stupid active bodies" I mumbled under my breath as I continued to walk up the stairs trying to catch up to her.

"What was that?" She called back from in front of me.

"You heard me" I grumbled out in response.

"You know for someone who was just hiding from an alpha like two minutes ago you're really outspoken right now"

"That's different, I'm talking to you, there's nothing scary about you," I said matter of factly

I heard her laugh and looked up to see her beginning to kneel down with her back to me. "What are you doing?" I asked stopping behind her.

"C'mon hop up," she said reaching her hands behind her back.

"What? I'm not gonna get on your back, Alex."

"You were just complaining about how the fourth floor is too far," she said turning her head to the side so that she could see me.

"I don't care, I'm not getting on your back," I say walking around her and continuing up the stairs, though I didn't make it far before I felt her hands grab at my waist, turning me around and lifting me off the ground.

I feel her hands go under my thighs to hold me up as I wrap my arms around her neck to try and keep myself from falling. "What the hell Alex! Put me down!" I practically yell into her ear.

"But aren't your feet hurting? What type of alpha would I be if I made a poor little omega like you walk up aaaall these stairs by yourself." She said dramatically stretching out the word all while continuing to walk up the stairs.

"Bullshit yo-"

"Watch your mouth." She cut me off while giving me a stern look and I rolled my eyes in response which caused her to start to laugh.

"Just shut up and put me down already."

"Alright fine, we're here anyway" I turn my head as she starts to set me down on the ground. What the heck that was really fast.

Alex grabbed my hand and begins dragging me down the hall, we stopped at the last door and she turned to me letting go of my hand. "This is your class, you're about... fifteen minutes late so just tell the teacher you got lost or something." She shrugged then turned me around towards the door and began to reach for the handle. 

I quickly grabbed her wrist stopping her from opening the door, she looked down at me giving me a confused expression before letting out a sigh and backing away "Go in whenever you're ready then."

She reached her hand up to my head and ruffled my curly hair as I began to grumble and swat at her hand in an attempt to shoo it away causing her to chuckle, "Don't be so nervous, you'll be fine. Also, we have the same lunch so I'll see you then." She said finally lifting her hand off my head.

"Yeah yeah, see you then." I felt one of her hands snake around my waist while the other lifted my chin up and before I could say anything she smashed her lips onto mine. My hands held onto her shirt as she leaned down deepening the kiss more, before pulling away. I leaned up for more but then remembered we were still in the hall and I was still late for class.

I could feel my cheeks start to heat up, Alex smirked down at me before closing her eyes and leaning her forehead against mine, "You'll be fine okay." She said in a hushed tone and I nodded my head in response. She let out a breath of air pulling her head from mine, "Alright I gotta go." She said right before leaning down one more time and placing a kiss on my forehead "I'll see you at lunch, love you." She said ruffling my hair again, which resulted in me again swatting her hand away. She laughed at my annoyance before turning around and starting to walk away.

"Love you too," I said as I watched her disappear down the stairs before looking back to the door in front of me, grabbing hold of the handle I opened the door. When I went inside everyone's eyes instantly snapped towards me as I put my head down and walked towards an older lady at the front of the class.

"Who are you?" The older lady asked sounding annoyed, as she stood up and walked over to me.

"Ale- alec Brown" I replied still not looking up from the ground, slightly flinching when I heard the stifled sound of laughter coming from some of the students.

"Go sit next to Sam in the back", just as she says that a female whose head was laid face down on top of her arms raised her hand, not even bothering to look up as I shuffled to the back of the class and sat down next to her. Once I settled down the lady in the front turned towards the board and began teaching not waiting for me to catch up. Realizing I was behind on the lesson I frantically scrambled around in my bag for my book, letting out a frustrated breath of air when I couldn't find it. 

I closed my eyes feeling myself beginning to panic again when suddenly I felt a book slid onto my desk. I open my eyes to see a pair of emerald ones staring back at me. "Here, I don't need it," the female said, sounding exhausted as she laid her head back down onto her desk. 

I stared shockingly at her before quietly mumbling a thank you and beginning to flip through the book for the notes.
