Today has been an extremely tiring day. For one I only get 4 minutes to make it through a crowd of kids, mostly taller than me, and two the teachers are so rude. I'm currently in 4th period doodling in one of the spirals my mom had bought me for school when I hear the bell ring, I pull out the small piece of paper Alex had handed to me and smile when I see that I have lunch next.

I get up and packed my bag as all the other students start rushing out of the room, just as I'm about to leave I notice that the girl from early, named sam, was still sleeping at her desk. I grabbed my bag and quietly shuffled over to her desk "Uh, Sam?"

I watched as she slightly moved her head to the side and looked at me, before putting her face back into her arms. I was about to call her name again but was stopped when she started talking "do you need something cupcake?"

"Cu-cupcake?" she moved her head to the side again at my response, slightly raising one of her eyebrows as a small smile spread onto her face before she sat up and started to stretch.

"What did you need?" She asked again after she was done.

"Oh um, I just came to tell you that class was over," I said while looking down and messing with the straps of my bag. I looked up when I saw her beginning to get up. I didn't notice until she was standing all the way up that she's really tall. I wasn't that surprised though, since she is an alpha.

"Thanks," she said while letting out a yawn.

I was going to walk out but was stopped when I feel a large arm wrap around my shoulders and look up to see that it was Sam's. What's up with Alphas and putting their arms around people? I mean I get Alex doing it since she's my girlfriend and alphas do tend to be really touchy with their omegas but every alpha I've met does this.

"You got lunch?" She asked as we walked out the room and down the hall towards what I'm assuming is the direction of the cafeteria.

"Yeah" I mumble out and she hums in response. We're quiet the rest of the way until we reach the cafeteria doors and she moves her arm off me as she mutters a bye.

"Wait, you don't have lunch?" I ask, giving her a confused look

"Yeah, I do." She replied before disappearing down another hall. I stood there for a few seconds just staring down the hall before stepping into the cafeteria full of kids. I tried not to focus on all the different people as I walked through the huge lunchroom trying to find Alex.

"Alec!" I hear someone yell my name and I turn around to see Alex sitting on a bench, her back leaning against a table with one of her hands up in the air waving in my direction. I walk over to her "So how has school been so far?" she asked in an expecting tone as I put my bag down and sat next to her.

"Tiring, I don't like it at all. The teachers are mean and nobody wears pheromone blockers so I can smell everything and-" I tense up when a loud sound suddenly ripples through the room and I turn around to see that someone had just dropped their tray.

I let out a breath of air I didn't know I was holding and turned back around to see a worried Alex staring back at me "You know, you shouldn't be so scared of everything."

I close my eyes and laid my head down on the cold table before grumbling out a reply "I'm not scared of you. Also, I'm not scared of everything I just... have really bad anxiety" I said the last part quieter. I had always been embarrassed about my anxiety, I mean I can't do any regular stuff for too long or around too many people that I don't know or I'll end up having an anxiety or panic attack. It's gotten pretty bad.

She doesn't say anything so I look up and let out a frustrated groan when I see that she's still giving me the same worried look from before, "Don't give me that look, babe, I'm fine." I say but I know she probably won't believe me. Hell, I wouldn't believe myself either.

"What are you doing?" I ask when I feel her arms start to snake around me, she doesn't answer and instead pulls me onto her lap, I let out a yelp as I land on her lap and settle there with her hands on my sides, "What are you doing?" I asked again my voice giving out just how flustered I was.

"Well I can't let out my pheromones, since they're apparently "too strong" or whatever," she complains as I let out a laugh when hearing the obvious annoyance in her voice.

"I figured in order to calm you down I'd have to put you real close to me so that you could at least smell some of my pheromones" she continues to say.

"What makes you think your pheromones calm me down?" I mumble out.

"Really?" She askes with a blank expression and I open my mouth to respond but am cut off when three tall alphas pop up in front of us, one female and two taller males.

"Oh hey guys," Alex says, they all reply back with a hey before their eyes land on me, I was confused at first but then realized that I'm still on Alex's lap. They probably don't know we're dating and think it's weird that I'm on her lap I think to myself, the thought of Alex not telling people about me makes me kind of sad.

I go to move off her lap but am stopped when Alex wrapped her arms around my waist and leans her head on my shoulder. I can feel my face heating up as the other alphas just stand there with blank expressions until one of the guys look back at Alex and reaches his hand forward before giving her a hard flick on the forehead.

"What the hell?!" Alex grumbles out while rubbing her forehead with one of her hands

"Your friend looks uncomfortable," he said while looking back at me

"He's fine, he just gets shy around new people and he's not my friend he's my boyfriend." She says not hiding her annoyance with them referring to me as her friend.

A smile spreads across my face at how quick she was to correct them. I honestly don't know why I thought she wouldn't, not once out of the five years we had been dating had she ever tried to hide our relationship. "So you're saying it's our fault he looks like he's about to explode?" the female alpha questioned with an irritated expression.

Alex looks up at her for a second before laying her head back on my shoulder "yeah I guess so" she mumbles out with her eyes closed.

"Why you little-"

"Hey, guys!" An omega female with black shoulder-length hair and light blue eyes comes walking over to us. When she gets to the table she greets the three alphas, she then turns to greet Alex but lets out a small gasp when she sees me on her lap.

"Allieee, I thought you said you didn't have an omega!" she whined out with a pout.

Allie? Who the heck is Allie? And she's been saying she doesn't have an omega? "I never said that," Alex replies bluntly, tightening her arms around me as if she heard my thoughts and was trying to reassure me.

"Okay... So he's your omega?" She asked while looking at me. She didn't look bothered or annoyed, I think.

"Yes, this is my boyfriend, his name is Alec." I almost laughed when one of the guys, the one who hadn't said anything yet, let out an offended gasp.

"Wow, and here I was thinking we had a thing. I am so hurt, I should've known you were a player." He said in a dramatic voice as he put his hand over his chest and closed his eyes, the female alpha laughed while the other just rolled his eyes before sitting down. Alex finally opened her eyes when they kept laughing and sent them a glare.

"Can't you see I'm trying to sleep?" She grumbled out, which only made the two alphas laugh harder. "That's it!" Alex carefully slides me off of her and sets me down on the bench, before picking up a fork and charging at her two friends. The male swiftly dodged her before sprinting off along with the female resulting in Alex chasing after them.

I look around thinking people would be mad at their childish antics but to my surprise, no one was bothered, "Yeahh, this is an every day, every year type thing" the omega female said when she noticed my confused expression and I just gave a little nod in reply.

"My name's Raya, I'm a Junior, like Allie"

"Oh, um I'm a sophomore," I said while looking down at my fiddling fingers, In the corner of my eye I could see her opening her mouth to say something but she stops when the bell rings and the four alphas come running back to the table.

The three alphas are still laughing while Alex just glowers at them while getting her stuff together. "I'm having the first day of school party tonight", Raya states out of nowhere.

"Cool, we'll be there" Alex replies, and the other three Alphas nod in agreement.

A big smile spreads across Raya's face at their answers, "You should come too, Alec!" she says turning to me. I look to Alex who just smiles at me before slowly nodding my head at Raya.

"Yes!" Raya squeals as she grabs her stuff and starts to head out "I'll see y'all there then!" She says before disappearing out of the cafeteria and down the hall. Two of the alphas laugh as the other one just rolled his eyes at Raya's excitement, they then all say their goodbyes to me and Alex before disappearing down the hall as well.

"I'm glad you agreed to come, your gonna love it," Alex says as she wraps her arm around my shoulder and starts to walk us out of the room. Maybe school isn't as bad as I thought?
