Today is the day.
Killian is back at school.
He can do this. All he needs to do is focus on what he does every single day. Because why would pregnancy change anything about his routine? It changes a lot of things, but let Killian ignore that part.
It is not like his appearance changed (wait until he gets more into the months), so everything should be fine. Killian is great under pressure.
Taking a deep breath, Killian walked into the school building, making his way to class.
"Good morning, class president." A few people greeted as he passed by, while others just said, "Good morning."
Killian smiled and greeted them back, acting like his usual self. See, he can do it.
Once he entered the class, he made his way to his desk, putting his backpack in his lap as he pulled out his homework and textbook. While he was doing that, his best friend in the whole world—Engel—walked in, sitting at the desk next to him.
"Did you hear, Azra—" Engel started.
Once Killian heard his enemy's name, a thousand sirens ran through his head as his heart started speeding up. Even his mind began to wonder what his best friend discovered. Oh no, did the school finally find out that he and Azra fucked in the student council room a month ago?
God, what kind of president is he?
Without hearing the rest of Engel's words, Killian stupidly blurted out, "Azra and I did not fuck in the student council room last month."
Engel paused. Killian paused.
It was only silence as they stared at each other.
Killian wanted to jump out the window (although he couldn't with another life growing inside him); he felt so stupid and embarrassed.
Three beats went by with his best friend staring motionless at him. When it hit the fourth beat, Killian was getting ready to open his mouth to say he was playing around when Engel finally spoke.
"What?" Engel found his voice.
"I," his voice cracked for a second before he switched modes, "It is a lovely day, isn't it?"
"Did you sleep with Azra?" Engel asked, holding a serious expression.
No, gross; why would I sleep with that arrogant alpha?
"Yes, and it was mind-blowing and incredible."
Once those words left Killian's mouth, he knew he fucked up. Brain, what the hell? Why did you mix up my thoughts and words?
Engel's eyebrow went so far up, it disappeared. Killian picked up his hands, waving them like crazy as he laughed with a flustered face while looking away, "I am kidding. I would never sleep with him."
He kept awkwardly laughing while his best friend looked at him with a deadpan questioning expression.
"You slept with Azra." Engel's words were a statement.
"I didn't." Killian refuted.
"In the student council room, you slept with Azra." Engel continued, thinking back to Killian’s previous words.
"I did not." Killian made sure to emphasize the word "not."
His best friend glanced at him a second longer before sighing as he looked to the side while shrugging his shoulders. "I will believe you, I guess." He honestly doesn't.
"Thank you." Killian smiled.
Engel hummed before going back to what he was going to say earlier, "Anyway, Azra fought on school grounds this time; the principal surprisingly suspended him for a week." Even though Azra gets in trouble a lot, he does well for the school, causing the principal to rarely suspend him.
Plus, the principal is his uncle.
Hearing the news, Killian internally rejoiced. "Now, I won't have to face my baby daddy." Wow, his internal voice must be loud because that sounded like he didn't say it in his mind.
"Did you just say, baby daddy?" Engel questioned, glancing down at Killian's stomach.
Oh fuck, kill him now. How is Killian failing so badly? What happened to his rare luck? Well, Killian is lucky he is not yelling. It would be terrible if his classmates found out.
But, he needs to deal with his first (or second) obstacle: his best friend.
The first step to lying is denying.
"What? Engel, are you okay? You must be hearing things." Killian denied with a straight face.
Engel looked him up and down, resting his head on his palm with narrowed eyes. "Even though you are an alpha, with your luck, you would be the one to get pregnant just like that."
"But too bad I am not pregnant." Killian countered.
"Sure," Engel dragged out, "Just know I am here for you."
Killian's heart jumped, "Okay."
Killian was in the middle of a student council meeting about club funding when his phone went off. Since he was not currently talking, he looked at his phone, only to see a message from 'Idiot.'
He almost gasped out loud, stopping himself last minute. Killian forgot he had Azra's number.
Last month, after they had (mind-blowing) (stop adding that brain) sex, Azra put his number in Killian's phone. He told him if he wanted it again, he should text him. Killian scoffed, ignoring him and the number.
Even though, secretly, he wanted to text him for more.
Idiot: Come, see me after school. [Location sent].
Killian: No. Find someone else to bother; we only had a one-time thing.
Idiot: I'll be waiting.
Killian: Well, keep waiting, you, arrogant asshole; I am not coming.
Idiot: You will be in more ways than one.
Killian bit the inside of his cheek, holding back his annoyed expression as he muted Azra. Next time, he will delete and block his number as he should have long ago.
Plus, even though he does not have a bump yet, he still would not have sex with him again. (Liar, liar).
"Killian, do you agree with these plans?" The vice president, Aurora, asked him.
He had no idea what they talked about during the last few minutes since Azra distracted him. But, he had confidence in his classmates, so he nodded his head before standing up while pocketing his phone.
"If there is nothing else to discuss, you are all dismissed." He told them.
Killian is definitely not going to the location Azra sent him.
