Nick backed away quickly, terror etched into his face. “H-Howㅡ How are you here!?” He stammered. Sabre just floated there, staring blankly at him. One eye was half-lidded with an endless black void as an eye, the other eye wide open and like a celestial white. Nick couldn’t hold back his expression of fear. “Oh.. look who is scared? You look as white as a ghost.” He said softly, it was a whisper, a haunting and eerie whisper…
Nick got up slowly and pointed the gun at the phantom pulling the trigger, it just phased through Sabre. Nick became a true believer and his fear only increased. His voice died in the lump in his throat. Sabre seeing to be staring into his soul, eyes empty and emotionless. “Hehehe” Sabre gave a small little chuckle. “W-What are you laughing at..?” “You’re fear. Seeing you fearful for your life is like music to me.” Sabre gave a sadistic grin, Nick backed up against the wall. “You can’t tell anyone! Nobody knows it was me who did this and it’ll stay that way.” Nick countered back.
“The other people are like animals...” Sabre gave a wide, sadistic smile. It was different, a small patch of sharp pointing teeth on the right side of his mouth was gleaming with a grin. “But I am VERY AWARE of the situation at hand. And you say that I can’t tell anyone.” The phantom laughed maniacally before stopping suddenly, the sadistic smile on his face staying sharp. “Nobody knows, for now.” Suddenly Sabre disappeared into a clasp of black fog.
At that moment Nick started to feel his entire world fall apart. He panicked and threw the gun onto his bed. He grabbed his jacket again heading to town to see if he’d find the phantom. “There’s no way.. I was dreaming! I had to be dreaming!” He assured himself. He walked around town, went to regular different stores, and everything seemed normal. He was in the clear, he decided to make one last test. Aleksander’s house.
..............
He stood at the house, it wasn’t a house, it was a mansion. Sabre was part of a wealthy family and the mansion was passed down to him after his older brother died. The huge place made him feel small, the cool breeze blowing him away from the door made it seem like the house wanted him to get away. It made him hesitate more as he slowly knocked on the door. He knocked a few more times before he slowly twisted the knob. It was unlocked. He walked in and looked up the grand staircase in front of him. “Hello? Aleksander?” WHACK! He fell onto the floor unconscious.
Nick groaned softly as he woke up but immediately froze. His arms were restrained and he was tied with chains to a metal pole. The room was dark with only a faint light next to some stairs. He strained and grasped at his breath to try and get himself free. “You can’t get out those chains. I will never let you go from my grasp.” An eerie voice whispered, Nick turned and to his horror there was Sabre. Along with...Aleksander.
“You crossed the line, are you satisfied Nick?” Aleksander turned to Nick, a cold look on his face. Sabre’s ghost encircled Aleksandr, his ghostly trail wrapping around him. “You killed my fiance, my lover, your friend...why…” He asked coldly as he held a machete in his hand. Nick’s eyes widened as he stared at it. “HEY! My eyes are up here!” Alek yelled angrily as Nick quickly looked up at him.
“Please let me go.. Please let me go!” Nick pleaded as he was turned around and away from Alek. The chain that connected him to the pole was cut and the back of his shirt was ripped open. “I’m pleading with you AHHHH!” Nick let out a painful screech as Alek pressed the tip of the machete into the chained up man’s back. Tears streamed down Nick’s face as he was forced to endure this, the machete seemed to cut deeper as he let out breathless sobs and pleads for Alek to stop. It would stop for a moment only to go to another area of Nick’s back and cut down again.
It seemed endless, by the end of it Nick was surrounded by the thick crimson substance that spewed from his wounds. From Alek’s point of view, it was beautiful. The murderer of his fiance had some justice to a standing point. It would’ve been better if he was dead but he wasn’t going to kill Nick since Sabre wanted him alive to torture him for the rest of his living days. Nick soon passed out landing his face against his blood.
This was the beginning of the rest of the days for Nick to suffer the wrath of a troubled fiance and a ghost haunting him.
