John POV

''So Aithen temporarily made me the squad leader, huh''- John. I kept thinking to myself ''so after all that crap talking he made me the squad leader temporarily, does he ever think this through''- John. I then tried to look around my surroundings, just empty scorched grasslands. ''I expected a lot more from this hellhole but whatever''- John. I kept trying to look but the more I kept going the more it felt warmer and warmer every time. I then decided to go back to the others and realized I came back at the worst time of my life. '

What the hell is wrong with you?...The team is ruined and all because of you...I was supposed to meet the love of my life today after this mission''' Jake shouted at John with rage. "Uhh maybe...not the love of my life…" Jake embarrassedly corrected. I looked around and saw Kaylee with a tomato face and was looking down. ''Ouch Jake I'm trying my best, okay? Also that explains why she mentioned your name earlier'' said John

Kaylee got up after strangely looking down and looked like she was about to say something but chose to stay quiet instead.

"Well This is goddamn awkward" John said while trying to think of something that would lighten the atmosphere. ''Crap what the hell am I supposed to say? I can't think of something to say let alone lead the damn squad''-John. ''What am I supposed to say for christ sake, am I overthinking this or what''-John

"Well first i should get everyone to the rendezvous with Aithen as planned" - John. "Agh...We really got ourselves into a mess huh" Thomas said trying to lighten the mood.  "Yeah we did," Jake answered with a sigh. He looked around visibly distressed. "When will Aithen be back?" He also said with yet again another sigh.

"Who really goddamn knows? First we have to get to Rendezvous with Aithen...We'll meet him at the point in 1300 hrs hopefully" John said giving his first mission as the new temporary leader.

"Alright time to get revenge on the zombies!" Jake happily shouted with everyone else joining in. "I hope Aithen is alright" Jake also added.

Now that everyone is back together (apart from Aithen) their goal was set...To leave dimension-1b and not completely fail and die.

I led the group and started exploring this weird place, even though this was apparently where the zombies originated there aren't a lot of them. "Maybe they're all on earth? If that really is the case then it shouldn't be that difficult to traverse around this hellhole" - John.

After walking for quite some time we found another abandoned building that looked similar to the Facility we're just at, the building strangely had letters scattered around and also had a slight glow to it.

"I guess we should investigate" I told everyone and we all set off to investigate.

Upon arriving at the place we discovered there was no sign of a visible entrance but closer inspection revealed that there was a steel reinforced door that blended in with the building.

The door had a keypad that would reveal itself when you hover over it...Now the only problem is that we need a code.

"This code should be easy to find" John stated. "Easier said than done" Replied Jake.

"Maybe the letters mean something?...Why else would they put weird symbols on here?" Thomas wondered but everyone thought that he might be right.

After carefully putting together the letters we came out with "a...b...e...o...p...q...z" although we have pieced the letters together I still have no clue so I better ask Thomas as he's good with these things.

"Thomas what's your thoughts?" John asked Thomas. "Maybe we turn the letters into the numbers that correspond to the alphabet?...If that's right then the code would be...12515161716" Thomas said happily because he figured it out.

I put that code in but what returned was an error and said the passcode was wrong. Out of nowhere a small folded piece of paper fell from the corner of the keypad.

I opened it up and revealed what it said "Hint: 1". Great...Now I'm really confused and time to ask good ol' Thomas for help again…"Okay that makes things harder, maybe type only the one's and if that doesn't work you could try removing the ones?"

I inputted "11111" but that seemed way too obvious and to no one's surprise it was wrong. The next one I put in was "2...5...5...6...7...6" 

The machine buzzed and then slowly opened the heavy metal doors and revealed the new building we had found. ''Well well well What do we have here''

As we walked through Jake pointed out something "Doesn't this place seem too clean?". I looked around and thought that he may be right, compared to the Facility this place is spotless...No vines and no cracks, especially no undiscovered bacteria.

One thing that stood out to me was the random folder on top of a marble countertop. "God, this seems pretty stupid...We keep finding the most stupidly obvious things...Clearly the writers are just lazy" - John.

I walked up to the countertop and swiftly picked the folder and emptied its contents on the countertop but strangely there were only a few pieces of torn paper.

I put them together and started reading it out.

"Project Markix: The new beginning

Hello higher ups, today we start the new future and bring the defeat to the Allies. I am currently talking to you from a new Facility constructed in Dimension-1b because we have found a way to travel back and forth between the two Dimensions. This is a groundbreaking discovery as we can hide in this Dimension and then teleport behind enemy lines...Yes you have heard right you are able to teleport out of this Dimension and travel to a specific place you want to go"

"Well I was expecting a little bit more" I said while trying to look for more stuff, conveniently I did notice something else, it was a large pink crystal with a slight glow to it. "That must have some use" - John.

The crystal glowed in my hand and fainted until there was no glow.

Now that we've searched everything here and got something that seems useful we setted out to meet Aithen.
