I woke up suddenly to sniffing. I checked the alarm clock on my nightstand. It was 3:35, and Asher was crying. Over what exactly? I pretended to stir. The sniffling turned into intense crying. I jumped up. "Asher Scott. What are you crying about at 3 in the morning?" I asked, annoyed. I felt Asher moving in the bed. "Huh?" He asked, seemingly shocked. "Do you need me to ask you again as to why the fuck you are crying?" I repeated myself. "J-just go back to sleep, babe. I'm fine," Asher lied.
I pulled the covers off. "Asher. Don't tell me that you're crying over someone you knew for like 4 days." I screamed. "Baby, please just calm down. I don't want you to wake up the kids." He replied to me. Starting to smile while checking me out. I was not in the mood. "I'm taking the kids out tomorrow. Er… I mean later on today. You know, we've been thinking about the dog. Remember?" I said, walking out of the room. "I'm sleeping in Steph's room. Get your life together by tomorrow night." I scoffed, walking out of the room. Instead of walking into Stephanie's room, I went to the living room and slept there. It was so cold.
I was awake for at least 4 hours before I fell asleep. I woke up to footsteps coming closer. It was Asher. He looked calmer than last night. "I'm sorry, baby. For last night." Asher said, lying on the big couch with me. He hugged me. "I was thinking, maybe we could get a Yorkshire Terrier or a Bichon Frise. However, you pronounce it." Asher smiled at me. "I was thinking about a terrier too. I know Steph would want both. But we've been thinking about this for a while. I think we're ready, honestly." I said, kissing him. When we pulled away, Dylan was walking into the living room, rubbing his eyes. "Doggy? Good morning mommy. Oh. Good morning daddy." He said, running to us and flopping onto his father's back. They wrestled until Daisy and Stephanie walked out. Both their hair was raised up as if they had been flashed by lighting. "Morning mommy, and daddy." Stephanie and Daisy said in unison. "Good Morning kids, we're going puppy shopping today. I said, jumping off the couch and feeling my pajama dress rise up. Stephanie squealed, Dylan clapped d, and Daisy stared at me, speechless. "Mommy! A new doggy?" She slurred as if life were surreal. I looked at the Digital clock we had on the tv. It was already 10:00AM. "The dog shelter opens up in 30 minutes. Let's get ready and go. We'll pick up breakfast on the way. I ran upstairs and threw on a pair of black sweatpants. I put on a flowy shirt and looked through my shoe rack for a pair of white Air Force 1's. I walked out of the room and slammed into Asher. Mostly his chest, since he was like a whole foot taller than me. (Violet- 5'4, Asher is 6'4). Asher bent down and kissed me on the forehead before getting ready. I went into Dylan and Daisy's Jack and Jill Bedroom. Daisy was trying to put on a pair of different colored vans. Dylan was pulling a T-Shirt over his head. I walked over to Daisy. "Sweetheart, these are two different pairs of shoes." I frowned. Dylan walked over to me and handed me the daisy patterned pair that Daisy loved so much. She smiled and took the shoes and put them on. "Mommy look, I tied my own shoe!" She beamed at me while noticing her laces twice. "Good job, sweetie," I said, raising my hand to high-five her. I walked over to Dylan. "How'sHow's it going, Tater Tot?" I asked, bending down to tie the drawstrings of his sweatpants. "Mommy, can you give me the matching shoes?" He replied, completely ignoring my question. I walked to his shoe rack, and he followed me. I picked up his pair of white air forces and carried him to his bed to put his shoes on. I lifted him up and took Daisy. We walked out and saw Stephanie fully dressed. She was wearing her matching daisy patterned vans. We walked downstairs. Asher was sitting on the couch with his white air forces on as well. "Let's go. Dylan, I promise we will get breakfast." I said to everyone as we walked out. "Mommy, what are we gonna name the dogs?" Daisy asked, jumping up and down as I put her in her car seat. Asher was putting Daisy into her car seat and Stephanie in her booster. I finished with Dylans and went to the passenger door. I got inside and turned around to the kids. "I was thinking about Marshmallow," I said. Thinking about dog names. "Ooo! Or Carter!" Stephanie replied. "No. Let's do Cora," Dylan yelped from the back seat. "Champ, calm down, alright?" Asher says, eyeing him from the rearview mirror. We passed by accident and got to the animal shelter.
Asher and Violet are husband and wife. They live in a nice neighborhood with 3 kids. You could even say they're the perfect couple until Violet finds out Asher is cheating. Violet and her friends decided to take care of the problem . . and it involves blood, lots of it.
