She’s back in Michael’s cabin. She is slowly getting up from the couch. She keeps the blanket wrapped around her as she quietly steps up to a window close by. She peeks out the window and sees Michael talking to 2 police officers. She starts to panic and drops the blanket. She then turns and starts to quickly stumble through the cabin. She goes down the hall to the back room and sees a room full of books, candles, and jars full of various things and objects. She covers her mouth scared and she stumbles back into the wall. Then she hears Michael calling for her and hears him coming down the hallway. She holds back a whimper as he opens the door. He then sees her staring at his table with candles on it. He sighs.
“You weren’t supposed to see this room. No one sees this room,” He comments.
“Wh...What is this,” She asks whimpering.
“It is what makes this place what it is,” He answers as he looks at her.
“Are you going to hurt me,” She asks with tears running down her face.
“No, I’m not going to hurt you. The cops are here to talk to you and I will explain what all this is, ok,” He says softly.
“Ok,” She agrees softly. He then leads her out of the room and back to the living room. Then they see it. A giant black wolf standing in the door frame with blood dripping from its mouth. Sarah whimpers and grabs hold of Michael’s hand.
“Why did she leave the door open,” He hisses. He gently picks up Sarah with his eyes never leaving the wolf. The wolf charges and swipes at them with its giant paws. Michael gently holds Sarah close as he turns and runs down the hall. A paw scratches down Sarah’s back as they turn to run. Michael growls silently and heads for the office. He then puts Sarah down as he quickly shuts the door. He then locks the door and opens the window. He lifts Sarah to the window.
“Go to a cabin and get them to open the door or window. Stay there till morning,” He instructs and she looks at the door. They can hear it scratching and banging on the walls. Getting closer to the office.
“Don’t worry. I will be fine,” He comments with a reassuring smile. She slides out of the window with a small nod. Once her bare feet touch the cold hard grassy ground she takes off running. The first one she comes to is the green cabin. She knocks and bangs. She begs to be let in but no one opens a door or window. She starts to run to the next one when she sees two more creatures. A tall rabbit that is walking on 2 legs and is pitch black. The other one is tall as well but it is extremely skinny. It has antlers and long fingers with nails that look like talons. She goes the opposite way that they seem fixed on going. She then comes to the blue cabin. She starts knocking and banging. She hears someone come up to the door. Then they peek out and she sees who it is. It’s the wolf boy. He opens the door with a smirk and she hesitantly walks in. He goes to close the door but something charges the door. He gets thrown to the wall from the force of it. Sarah turns to see the wolf standing in the doorway with the others. There were more joining them as well. Sarah backs up and runs to the bathroom. The creatures charge in as she does so. They start attacking and ripping the other campers apart. Her and a couple others get to the bathroom. She opens a window and starts to climb out when one of the creatures, the bunny, enters the bathroom. She tries to help the others to escape but it is too late. The bunny has gotten to them. She runs out to the lake and can hear the creatures behind her. She jumps into the lake hoping that they won’t follow her. She swims out to the middle of the lake and sees that they didn’t follow her out. Then she feels something brush against her leg. She then realizes that there is a creature in the lake. She tries to calm down and decides to float on her back. She floats there with the creatures brushing against her now and again until morning. In the morning she floats up to the shore and Michael helps her out of the water. He isn’t hurt by the wolf. She starts to silently cry with guilt. Knowing that the campers in that cabin didn’t last the night. Michael calms her down and lets her know that it’s not her fault. More police have shown up as well as parents. They are all gathered at the fire pit and the police are giving some of the parents the bad news. Michael looks at the fire pit then to Sarah.
“Today is the last day of camp but I want you to remember a few things, ok,” He comments and she nods.
“First is no matter how tainted you feel, you can never be truly tainted and second is that none of this is your fault. Third is that the creatures you saw last night are of my making. They didn’t hurt me because I created them. They are a product of a curse that I created that went wrong and back fired,” He comments softly. She looks at him in shock. He then holds out his hand and she gently takes it. He walks her up to her parents and she looks at the ground the whole way there. She sits down as he takes her parents to the side and explains what happened to her. Her parents look at Michael pissed. They come back and Sarah’s father gently leads her to their car. The last thing Sarah sees before they leave the camp is the police loading the wolf boy’s body into the coroner’s van.
