My body curled under the thick blankets, keeping it warm from the freezing cold feeling inside me.My limbs were shaking from the chills, as my breath ragged.
Trying to cope with the intense sensations my body is fighting for. A hand suddenly touched my forhead, I felt a warm palm trying to calculate my temperature manually.
"You're freaking burning in fever!" his voice cracked the silence along the atmosphere, and spread it wide through the corner of the halls.
In a rush, he shoved his arms on my waist and carry me out of the bed. My eyes was tearing in a hot liquid, as the exasperating headache tried to break my head in pain. I only heard the footsteeps walking in a fast and anxious pace, I couldn't bare to take a sneak look on the place or where he was supposed to take me. All I was focusing to, was fighting the virus on my body.
"Do everything you can to treat her right away," he ordered, and laid me on another bed. My back felt the soft mattress, making me more comfortable than ever.
"Yes sir" a modulated voice uttered, he was enthusiastic to his order and pulled a tray with wheels. As the high-pitched sound of the squeaking wheels was clearly reflected through my ears.
He then took my hand and inserted a sharp yet painless thing on it. It must be an IV fluid, and probably injected couple medicines on it. The fluid runs through my veins and would hopefully heal my illness or either ways, help my white blood cells to fight the virus inside me.
Few seconds passed, and I felt the sudden stir of weariness in me. The kick of somnolence started to hit me, as my brain slowly loss its consciousness as well, and darkness claimed me entirely.
•••••••
My eyes flickered in drowsiness, and met the blinding room lights. But then, the bright flash of lighting caught my attention. I roamed my vision towards the huge open window.
It was dark and devoid of stars, the sky was like in a raging war as the lighting were striking it's attack, forming different majestic figures in the sky.
I realized that I slept the entire day, since it's already night time. I pulled my body up from the bed and roamed my eyes around, examining my surroundings.
Yet, as while my eyes were scrutinizing everything, the ticking of the clock caught most of my attention. Remembering his conditions, I pushed my legs to work however, I stopped the moment I was out of the room where I was confined, and started to realize an odd change of the place's ambiance.
I moved around, encircling one position and roamed my eyes along the room. The huge hall is empty and vast. The windows were covered with red long and huge curtains, like the ones used in a palace or so. The floor is filled with black marbled granites, above was a stained glass ceiling, which colors are reflected towards the entire hall, as the gleam of the shiny diamond chandelier on the middle creates a beautiful reflection on the floor.
"Where am I?" I asked myself, with an inexplicable thoughts.
Silence rang the empty halls, and yet— I could not find the warmth of the place, it felt like a frozen castle on top of a snow mountain. Nesii's house wasn't supposed to feel like this, the peculiar feeling keeps growing inside me, the thought of something ridiculous appeared on my mind.
"Am I dead? Did the fever kill me?" my body overall felt subconsciously healed, there's no heaviness nor the chilly feeling, filling my body. No IV fluid attached to my hand at all, I have no idea what's happening at all nor where am I.
"Gratissimum mea domina," a monotonous voice of a man was captured by my ears, his voice sounded rough and feeble. So I had assumed his age would be in the midst 50's, but what surprised me the most is the way he greeted me in Latin. 'Welcome my lady'. Which is not very common to most people.
I turned around and met an old man in appearance and yet, his features says a lot about his lost teenage days. His face lifted a Duchenne smile, crinkled in the corner of his eyes, as to where his lips extended, explained his genuine intention.
"My Lord has been waiting for you, please follow me," a big question was hanging on a rope inside my head, who is my Lord? Am I really dead? That God has called me to calculate my sins and decide whether I should go to heaven or not?
I walked behind him, following his small steps. We passed by different parts of the house or is this even a palace? The paths were all covered by carpets and luxurious resplendent diamond chandeliers, there were also crystals on the edge of the ceilings. The place is splendid yet, tragic.
"If you please," the old man's hand opened widely leading me inside the huge door.
I stepped forward and face the mysterious look of the door, it was so huge to the point that I would probably considered as a person with dwarfism, if you'd take the view from the upper portion.
Both of my hands pushed the door with enough strength to open it, and a room filled with darkness met my very eyes. Everything in the room is in neutral color, in either grey or black, well, except for the curtains since they're red.
Deep inside, the chilly feeling of gloom and peculiarity of the room bothers me but, the urge of curiosity pushed me to unravel it's mystery. I took small steps forward, sliding my bare feet on the granite floor.
"hhuh!" I sighed fearly, as my body trembled in trepidation, when the door slammed closed. That gave me more chills that leads my skin to horripilation.
"Ahh you're awake," a deep gruff voice of a man echoed in the entire room, it has a sense of familiarity with me.
When I turned around, a man was walking towards my direction. He was half naked, in which his lower part is only covered with a piece of towel. As the water from his wet hair keeps dripping off , traveling to his shirtless body.
Heavens might have punish me for looking at his body, as if I was tempted by a sin, he's presumably 6 feet tall, his body just looks perfect not to deny. It is slender, muscular and well-built with six pack abs as the V-line on his torso were visibly seen.
"You need to close your mouth or in any moment your saliva might drip," his provoking words , draws me back from watching the water drips sliding enthusiastically down his body.
I stir my vision and his eyes caught my eyes, at first it was blurry to my vision to recognize him from afar, but now that his a meter away from me, my knees almost fell distinguishing him completely. He's the vampire.
"H-how did I come here? Why are you here?" I stammered confused of what's truly happening.
His eyes deepened and more sharper staring at me, like in the depths of it— I was stabbed by hundreds of knives. His fresh look made him more handsome and appealing, undeniably, his jaw reflexed before he took a step forward, leaving 10 inches between us.
My knees melted and yet, before I fell totally to the ground, his arms caught me. Burying his fingers on my waist and pulled me close than ever to him. But, I mellow out from his grasp I can't cope with his stare anytime, might kill me.
"You're in my home."
"H-how did you? I was—" he cut me off.
"I took you from that guy's house while you were dozing off. You have a fever and less or more I wouldn't allow you to walk in the middle of that heavy rain, that felt like bullets to your skin whilst your body is pretty weak, just for you to come to that place and give me your decision."
That made me speechless. His eyes, his face, is as cold as an ice, it is emotionless and yet, his statement is heartfelt. However, was it really pure or it has a hidden agenda?
"My mother... where's my mother?" he walked passed by me and didn't even try to answer my question. I ran, following his steps and grab his arm.
"You promised," my grip tightened to his skin, not letting slip off from his own words.
"I never promised...I did...I gave you a condition but I never promised." the coldness of his voice broke the serenity in me.
"But I agreed to your most preferred condition... H-how can you?" The tears started to linger along the surface of my eyes, as my voice became brittle.
I ran towards the door and tried to open it but no matter how much stregnth I exerted, it was an impotent try.
"Open this door right now!" I screamed in a high-pitch voice, as the tears were almost blinding and blocking my vision.
"The moment you step in this room, you're unable to get out from here." his brows furrowed, throwing those unsympathetic words to me.
My hand grasp tightly towards the dagger placed on the side table, I sprinted towards him in a quick manner and jump high to penetrate the sharpness of the knife to his skin, but, he was too quick. He vanished to the air and reappeared behind me, before my very eyes.
He captured both of my hands and pinned them on back of me, as he trail his breath to my neck.
His muscular arms carried me, as if I was weightless. I was wailing yet, he's stregnth conquered over mine.
In a matter of seconds, I was thrown to the bed hard as he took his place on top of me, straddling his legs on the side of my body. His hands were pinning both of my arms on the bed, as his eyes fell down to the valley of my breast.
My heart pounded loudly, that I can literally hear it. He lowered his face and sniffs my neck. My heart raced more beats, making my lungs incapable of pumping oxygen for my functionality, of realizing the fact, that the man on top of me is half-naked, and only covering the lower portion of his body with a piece of a towel.
Different uncanny thoughts filled my mind of what's going to happen next, that took me from realizing the entire thing he was actually doing to me.
I gulped consecutively, terrified of the possibilities however, he lets go of my arms and stood out from his position.
I then just realized, my arms were tied on the bed tightly. Restraining me to move furthermore. He just took my own freedom under his own control.
"From now on, I am your master and you are my slave. You're gonna serve me, and do whatever I want."
He left me dumbfounded with his penetrating and mandatory words. And there I was left with no choice but to accept enable to save myself, survive and aim vengeance.
