All of the Retrogade members arrive in the next fifteen to twenty minutes, same goes for the rest of my bandmates.
We were all sitting on the floor of the dance studio, a few of the guys tired out from dancing (most notably Sin and Mars, Daeseul too).
Daesul was tired, head on my shoulder, eyes nearly closed. Sin was practically asleep on Shadow’s lap, Shadow playing with his hair.
“Uh, really quick, none of you kids have an issue with me or Sinnie, by any chance, do you?”
“Huh? What do you mean?” K asks, seemingly enamoured by the older idols.
“Some people we’ve worked with in the past were terrifyingly homophobic,” Kae-byeok interjects. “We were forced to work with them at the beginning of our careers, and they were horrible to Nam and Seok.
Namjoon simply nods. “Yeah. W-What Kae said.”
“Well we support you guys,” Dae said, sitting up and smiling. “You guys are amazing, and Namjoon-hyung and Jangseok-hyung, you two are very happy together, you guys have been dating for so long. I for one am proud of you guys for coming out and being so proud.”
“Thank you, Daesul-ah.”
“I’m sorry for what you guys had to go through.”
“We’re okay, promise...anyways, we should change the subject.”
“Agreed. Let’s get back to the music topic,” Kae-byeok starts. “Our manager sent us some of your demos, and we all love your music style and have been begging to work with you, though that was Sin and Tae more than the rest of us. We even saw your posters and some photocards...and don’t tell Sin I told you this but he has Z’s photocard in his phone.”
“He does?”
“Yeah. You’re his bias,” Shadow says, “He says it’s because you look pretty, plus he tends to like rappers too. And wow this does kind of sound weird with my phrasing, all apologies.”
“It’s okay. I’m actually quite flattered.”
“Back to music, now, Kae.” Yisoo mutters to Kae-Byeok.
“Right. Well, we have a song already written that we’d like you to feature on, and Joon, Tae, and I are working on a song that we’d like your help to write, and feature on too. And Yisoo and Jang would like Daesul and Zero’s help specifically to choreograph both songs.”
Dae and I look at each other, excited as hell.
“We’ll take you up on it,” Jay says. “I know for one Daesul and Zelo have been so excited to work with you, as they are longtime fans, and the rest of us are also super excited to work with legends like you.”
“We’re honored to work with you as well, shall we plan for after your debut to start, since you all are so busy?”
“Sounds perfect. We’re excited to work with you.”
“This sounds so formal, ah. Why don’t we celebrate by going out for drinks?”
“Kae, these guys are quite literally kids. They can’t drink.”
“Right...hah, sorry. How about dinner?”
“Sounds good to us.”
“Let’s go then!”
