Chapter Nine: Emilia
Emilia woke up from 5:00 to 5:30 every morning. Today it was 5:13 and 15 seconds when she checked her watch. She jumped up out of bed and ran to the bathroom, took a shower, did her hair, and chose a new nice outfit. An amber dress with a leather jacket. She put her hair up into a waterfall braid and did her makeup.
She nodded to herself in the mirror. She loved her thick luscious hair with two dyed auburn streaks, her shorter curvy body, and her warm brown skin. “Looking snazzy!” She then skipped down to the kitchens. At 7:30 Brie would come down here to get his chia seed smoothie.
She waved at the kitchen staff. “Hi Richie, hi Jill, hi Paul, hi Alicio!”
Alicio waved, “hi Emilia!”
“So, what are we making?” Emilia asked, peering down at the recipe. “Ooh, chocolate chip pancakes! I got dry ingredients!”
Alicio nodded vigorously. “I can make wet ingredients. Let’s start!”
They began to cook. “I love this recipe so much!” Emilia gushed.
“Me too! It really makes the pancakes the perfect texture! Like they’re in a picture book and they just came to life!”
“Like the perfect dress on a shopping catalog being actually perfect!” Emilia added.
“Yes! Wow, it’s an honor to be able to mix the milk with the egg whites.” Alicio said.
“It’s an honor to craft these dry ingredients together.” Emilia agreed. She then grinned. “I think you could try to add some rum to the wet ingredients!”
Alicio practically gasped. “That’s a really good idea.”
Emilia beamed.
