When Killian entered his home, he froze, taking his words, he said earlier, back. He thought he got away with keeping his secret, a secret, for another day. But here, his mother stood with their family's doctor.
Even his older sister stood in the background, looking amused as she drank her drink. Killian wanted to glare at his sister but held it back because the way she stood was almost perfect with their mother.
"Mom, I told you that I don't need a doctor." Killian started, wanting to run out the door. If the doctor checked him over, he could tell that Killian was pregnant. And he did not want his mother to find out from the doctor's mouth.
Honestly, he did not want his mother to find out until he was showing; because then he could no longer hide it.
His mother put her hand on her hip, staring at him with narrowed and stubborn eyes, "And why is that, Killian? You don't look good, honey. I want to make sure you are okay."
He knew how stubborn his mother could get, but at the same time, she would listen to her kids' requests. This time, she is putting her foot down.
Glancing to the side, Killian bit his lip. God, he did not want to do this, but it is the only way. Goodbye secret, goodbye world—this will become a murder scene.
"Because," Killian took a dramatic pause, savoring his last bit of air, "I am pregnant, and that is what the doctor is going to find out."
"Oh!" His older sister exclaimed, fully engaged in the conversation. She is wondering where the popcorn is because this turned juicy.
Killian has made his move: I'm pregnant. Now, it is the mother's turn—the player awaits the response.
Silence filled the air after his older sister made her noise. His mother stood frozen, resembling a statue while the doctor remained professional. He will not make a move until the mother tells him to.
Killian could feel his heart rapidly beating out his chest, making it seem like it would stop soon. Even sweat started to slide down his forehead as he waited for his mother to say anything.
Three beats, four, then six, and now ten—his mother still stared at him without moving like she looked into Medusa's eyes.
All it took was one nervous step back from Killian for his mother to move again. Her eyes told him to stop as she turned towards the doctor with an apologetic look, "I am sorry for calling you here at such short notice. Is it fine to see you tomorrow at the hospital? I need to speak with my son."
The man nodded, "It is fine, ma'am. I will see you tomorrow." He bowed before leaving, not sparing a glance as he walked away.
Killian's mother glanced back at him with a calm expression that gave nothing away. That look was scarier than her anger. She beckoned him over with her finger as she said, "Follow me."
Following his mother, Killian walked to his doom. As they left the area, his older sister gave him thumbs up before walking away. He wanted to roll his eyes but was not in the mood for it.
They made their way to his mother's office. She opened the door, holding it for him before closing it once Killian walked in.
Killian sat down on one of the couches, playing with his fingers as he waited for his mother to join him. His mother sat across from him, sighing as she leaned forward.
"Honey, tell me, are you truly pregnant?" She asked.
"Are you asking because I am an alpha?" Killian responded, not wanting to say he was pregnant again. Wasn't saying it once enough?
His mother shook her head, "I do not care for that; I care if my son is pregnant or not."
Killian looked down, refraining from biting his bottom lip. "I am sorry, mom."
His mother leaned back, running her hand through her hair, messing up her perfect style. "If you are wondering if I am mad, I am not angered at you for having sex. I am upset that you did not have safe sex, nor told me that you are sexually active; I don't mind buying you condoms.
"But, I know you, son, and you would have hidden this from me, just like you did long ago when you had the flu—that is where my anger comes from." His mother explained to him.
"Mom, I do apologize for not telling you, I swear. I was scared that you would be disappointed with me." Killian told his mother. It is true; he was scared his mother would be disappointed.
Shaking her head, his mother reached over, grabbing Killian's hand as she gave a soft smile. "I would never be disappointed in my children unless they did something against good morals. Understand that I want to make sure all of you are okay and healthy.
"Tomorrow, we are going to the doctor to have a check-up, okay? Then, I am going to explain to you the responsibilities of being a teen parent."
Killian finally looked at his mother, feeling relieved that she was not disappointed in him. Although, he did not want to go to the doctor. But he had no choice in that decision. "Okay, mom."
She squeezed his hand, switching the conversation for a second, "Also, the school called me about you disrupting class. Is that true?"
Once again, Killian's heart jumped out of his chest as he moved his hand out of his mother's hold, waving them around, "It was an accident—truly."
"Well, make sure the accident doesn't happen again. I want you to learn in class, okay?"
Killian nodded his head, thinking how he would never disrupt a class again. His mother smiled once more, moving forward to kiss his head before standing up, "You can go."
Quickly standing up, Killian practically ran to the door, grabbing the doorknob to throw it open when his mother stopped him again.
"And son, don't forget to bring the one that knocked you up over."
OVER MY DEAD BODY! Killian yelled in his head as he ran to his room.
While Killian thought about that, it would take two hours before realizing that he had forgotten his school bag at Azra's house.
