8AM
Dianne walked out into what was supposed to be the main reception of Hills General Hospital, the very hospital the Grey Army was currently using to carry out a project. A tall pale blonde-haired man walked over to Dianne "You must be Miss Thompson-" "Doctor Dianne Thompson" Dianne corrected "Oh sorry... I'm Doctor Connor, the guy you're kind of stuck with everyday while on this project" Connor laughed a bit "I think I'll manage" Dianne smiled a bit as she rolled her eyes. "Really? you'd be pretty surprised, people have called me annoying many times before" Connor warned her as he gave Dianne a clipboard "I've met annoying before, and so far you don't meet its criteria" Dianne told him. "Now I believe we have a job to do" Dianne said, sort of reminding Connor what the two had to do today "Oh yes, uh... according to my list, the first patient we're seeing is TØM45" Connor stated, looking up from his clipboard at Dianne "Lead the way" Dianne said before following Connor down a corridor. As they walked, Dianne looked out of each window, only to see an eternal night. Dianne looked at her watch "According to my watch, it's eight o'clock in the morning" "Yeah, and?" "It still looks like its night outside" Dianne told Connor "And that's the surprising beauty of the 'time-stopping spell' casted, all time has stopped except everyone and everything within this building" Connor explained to Dianne. "It's... weird" Dianne admitted "I thought you would've gotten use to the Mid Realm by now" "Actually no, I only transferred to this realm about two months ago" Dianne answered "I haven't exactly been given a chance to fully adapt to my new surroundings and the new types of specied people who also exist here". "I think you're too technical and logical with this place" Connor told her "Just try to relax into it and everything should be fine" Connor assured Dianne before stopping in front of a hospital room "This is patient TØM45's room"
8:10AM
Angelina woke up, lying in a white dress, it's sleeves going to her elbows and the skirt of the dress ending at her knees. She attempted to sit up yet she couldn't. Angelina was held down to a hospital bed with leather-belt-like restraints on her ankles and wrists "What the-" she looked at her left wrist to see a barcode and '4N63L' tattooed onto her pale skin "What the fuck?!" she quietly yelled, only now looking at her surroundings. Angelina's heart dropped as she looked around the hospital room. She tried getting at least one of her hands free from the restraints, but clearly no one wanted her to get out. Angelina then froze as she heard a few children screaming before hearing footsteps outside the door of the room she was currently in. Angelina's heart started beating really fast to the point she felt as though it was going rocket out of her throat... then the door opened. A man, a woman and two nurses walked into the room, closing the door behind themselves and locked it "Miss Angelina, it's nice to see you are finally awake" the man warmly smiled as Angelina glared back at him "I'm Doctor Connor and this is Doctor Dianne Thompson" he stated, gesturing to the woman standing next to him who was holding a clipboard. Connor then walked out of the room with the two nurses, closing the door behind themselves as Dianne sat down by Angelina's bed.
"I know this all seems scary and overwhelming, but believe me- we're here to help you" Dianne started, taking out her pen as Angelina silently watched her "First days in new worlds is sometimes the worst, you're given a short time to adjust to everything and-" "Where am I?" Angelina asked as Dianne turned her head to the girl. "So she talks-" "That doesn't answer the question" Angelina interrupted as she glared up at the doctor "You're at Hills General Hospital" Dianne answered "Why am I here?" "You're here with every other child who has the same gift as you" Dianne answered again, yet left Angelina a little confused of what she meant by that. "What do you mean 'same gift'?" the girl questioned "I mean that everyone in here can see the same monsters as you" Dianne told her as she wrote a few things down "So I'm in an asylum?" "No, you're not here because your family or friends thought you were insane or crazy, you're now in the world you belong in".
"See in the other world, most things have its own thin line between 'normal' and 'insane' yet here, in this world, seeing monsters and weird impossible things everyday is normal" Dianne explained "Really- so everyone in this building-" "Have seen monsters and weird unexplainable things, including me" Dianne told Angelina, yet the girl still didn't believe her. "Why the restraints?" Angelina asked "Most of the children here have depression or self harm in order to deal with their sight of the creatures they see, the restraints is supposed to keep them from harming themselves" Dianne answered "...here- let me deal with those" Dianne released Angelina from her restraints and helped her sit up. "Now in order actually stay out of these restraints, you need to agree to the first vaccine" "Vaccine?" Angelina raised a brow "Vaccine for what?" "Here, there are some diseases that aren't known to normal people yet can easily kill a person within hours" Dianne explained. "Sometimes the pain alone can 'encourage' the infected person to try and put an end to the pain themselves" Dianne continued "So basically a virus that drives a person to self harm or suicide?" "Correct, therefore it's important that you take the vaccine to prevent that from happening". Angelina was unsure about all of this, everything she was being told about this 'new world' she was in seemed unbelievable as if it was being pulled out of some sort of book and currently being feed to her. Yet Angelina soon found herself standing on the other side of the door of her hospital room and being lead down the corridor. At one point, Angelina saw painted in black 'Block A', indicating what section of the building her room was.
After being lead down a couple more corridors by a nurse, Angelina was now standing in what she could've guessed was a very small surgical room, with a man in a lab coat standing by a chair. For a young looking man, his hair was incredibly white somewhat covering his big round royal blue eyes that had bags underneath them, a noticeable scar running down from under his left eye to the edging of his lips, and sunkissed skin. "Miss Angelina, come on in" the man smiled, Angelina hesitantly walked over to him "My name's Doctor Ted Flores, would you care to take a seat" Ted gestured to the chair as the nurse who lead Angelina here walked over to the sink to get a few things. Angelina looked around the brightly lit room, to her, it seemed as though a normal doctor's practice yet that didn't settle the eerie feeling haunting her spine. The nurse walked back over with a small white tray and set it down on the bed side the chair Angelina was sitting in... yet only now was when the young girl really noticed the features of the chair. It was a black-metaled chair with a bit of cushion on it yet it was bolted to the ground and had a couple of restraints on it to hold down the wrists and ankles of the sitter... this chair clearly didn't belong in the so normal looking room. Ted noticed the new expression of worry on Angelina's face as she stared at the chair "Miss Thompson explained to you about the need for restraints here, right?" Ted asked, Angelina nodded her head a bit "Well that chair has the same reason, but also help prevent a few reactions to this vaccine" Ted explained "What do you mean?" the girl asked. "The vaccine is a bit painful, like a person punching your arm very hard" Ted warned "People badly flinch and end up with the needle snapping in their arm" he explained as Angelina tried to relax a bit "If you don't mind-" "Of course" Angelina answered, hesitantly letting Ted and the nurse strap her to the chair.
Ted turned to the tray, using its contents to clean a spot on Angelina's right arm before picking up the needle "Ă̴͜n̴̺̄g̷̰̈́ě̶̥l̴̩̈́i̴̓͜n̵̝͆a̴̖̎!" the girl's head snapped up, looking around the room for the voice "Just relax, alright" Ted told Angelina yet the girl remained fully alarmed as she watched someone stop out side the door of the small surgical room. "What is this vaccine for again?" Angelina asked "Krassok plague, nasty and painful disease" Ted answered, slowly putting the needle into the girl's arm as Angelina watched a blackened shadow figure go through the door into the surgical room, looking directly at her "T̶͍͐h̷̳͗e̴̳͠y̶̟͌'re̴̱̎ ̷̮͒t̸̩͘ó̷͇ ̶̤̆k̸̜̀ḯ̸̹l̷͔̅l̵̦̈́ ̸̥̂ỳ̴̩ȍ̷̰ǘ̶̙!" the shadowed figure yelled. Angelina's eyes immediately widened as Ted injected the serum into her arm. The girl screamed in pain as Ted quickly pulled the needle out "Sir-" "Stand back" Ted told the nurse as he stepped away from Angelina who continued to cry out in pain. It felt like fire harshly dancing on her skin, along with the vein the serum was injected to feeling as though it was being cut open to be shown to the outside world.
The lights flickered as Angelina tried ripping her wrists out of the restraints, her vision blurring each passing second yet her own strength and energy growing more powerful. After about a minute of screaming, Angelina felt her energy drain away as her attempts to get out of the restraints started to weaken "That's it, give up..." Ted said in a calming voice as he warmly smiled at Angelina. Soon there was no exact movement other than the girl just barely breathing "Let me tell you an obvious secret, sweetheart" Ted started as he bent down to Angelina's height "We're not exactly the good guys" Ted told her. Angelina's only reaction to his words was her lifting her head to look at him, her glare filled with absolute hate as they glowed a bright blue.
