“FADE.”, he warned Lazerus.
“Heed your words? You forget your place old man”, Lazerus was clearly angered.
The two men glared at each other for a while. Suddenly a huge explosion could be heard in the far distance. Still, both men were unfazed and kept glaring at each other.
“Sounded like that came from Brague.”
“...”
“Not going?”
“I don’t get paid to worry.”
Right after he said this ringing could be heard from inside of Lazerus. Whilst still glaring at Tsander, he removed the communication device from within his stomach.
“I’m busy”, Tsander just stood glaring at Lazerus while he spoke with someone.
“You know my policy”, his gaze shifted from Tsander to the smoke coming from Brague.
“Fine.”
“Hmph. You’re a lucky man Tsander. I’ll let you got his time, but heed my words”, Lazerus said as he blew away like smoke in the wind.
“I’ll be back.”
Tsander watched him fly away towards Brague and then looked at the smoke which came from Brague.
‘I don’t have time for this’, Tsander thought to himself as he then hurried to the Roshigi forest.
…..
30minutes prior in Argons’ laboratory.
“Truly magnificent. It seems to quickly regenerate from cuts and wounds. Even when I broke its leg with a sledgehammer, it healed itself in a matter of minutes. Even its blood immediately evaporates, making it problematic to study it.”
Argons was truly fascinated by the effects of the crystal. The more he experimented on Tujitou, the more ideas came into his mind. He looked at the time and knew he didn’t have much longer to test out his experiments. He took out a blade and walked over to Tujitou’s unconscious body.
“Last test. What will occur if the test subject loses a limb?”
He raised the blade high up in the air, preparing himself to cut off Tujitou’s leg. Tujitou was no longer unconscious. He opened his eyes to witness Argons holding a blade high above his head. Tujitou had regained his consciousness, but it still felt as if he was half asleep. It had been a long time since he had been awake and had not felt a part of his body aching. Nothing that happened at that moment made any sense to him, but all of it changed after Argons cut his leg off. It wasn’t the pain that truly woke him up, but the blood he saw coming out of his leg. Tujitou yelled and wriggled wildly. Blood was spurting all over the room. Some of the blood got onto the chains which bound him and it then started to melt away. Argons witnessed this and tried to sedate him, but when he got close the blood landed on him. Argons screamed as the blood melted a part of his face away. Tujitou, who had broken free from the chains due to his frantic movement, fell to the floor. The fall caused his leg to hurt even more. He instinctively held onto it and to his surprise, he felt his legs. He looked in disbelieve, but there it was still attached to his body. You could see his leg trying to reattach itself back. He was trying to figure out what was happening to him, but this didn’t last long.
“Look at what you did to me!”, Argons stood in front of a mirror looking at himself.
The majority of his face melted away. He screamed at Tujitou and Tujitou fearing the monster he saw in front of him, stood up and ran away. At first, he limped away, but he soon started running as the pain slowly faded away. As he exited the room, he found himself in the same hall he was dragged through the past few days. 3 men could be seen running towards Tujitou from down the hall.
“Catch that fucking bastard”, Argons yelled.
Fear overcame Tujitou. He couldn’t bear to be in the same room as Argons, but he knew that he couldn’t overcome the 3 men. Argons, the 3 men and the other prisoners all yelled at him. Some asked for help and others for his capture. He was trying to think of a solution, but he couldn’t even think with all the noises. It became too much for him.
‘Kill.’
Tujitou opened his eyes to see him standing alone in the hall. All the noises were gone. The prisoners who begged for help were now quiet and all tried to be as far away from Tujitou as possible. Even Argons was down on his knees gaping at Tujitou. The 3 men were nowhere in sight. All he saw was a wide-open hall and without a second thought, Tujitou continued running. He ran and ran not knowing where he was heading, but all he knew is that he wanted to get as far away as possible from Argons. While he was running he could see in the distance an odd door. It was a heavily locked door and ice mist seemed to be seeping from under it.
‘Moraña!’
