(Angel's POV)
I opened my eyes, finding myself lying in the middle of an empty street. I sat up, seeing Gamer by my side getting up on his feet "Where are we?" Gamer asked "My guess... we're in one of the other's dreams" Gamer helped me up "But who's dream we're in, I wouldn't know-" "I think I know..." Gamer interrupted. I raised an eyebrow, watching him look around... the streets weren't familiar at all, they looked mostly grey, brown and abandoned, it obviously just stopped raining where we were... but the sky was slowly turning crimson red "Gamer?" "It's my dream" Gamer looked up and down the street "This is the exact spot I always wake up in before..." Gamer looked at the ground. "Gamer, what is this place exactly?" I asked, standing by his side "Cloham Strip, an abandoned district in Heaven... a few years ago when I was thirteen, the angel raising me got that annoyed by my existence that every night he'd wait for me to fall asleep then dropped me off here, leaving a note saying I had to find my own way out and he wouldn't come looking....". Gamer's fists were balled up, blunt nails digging into his skin "He was always a fucking prick... I cried for hours every time, until another angel found me and brought me back to him... it soon got to the point that I had nightmares and couldn't sleep- I refused to sleep and that annoyed him so much that he stopped leaving me here" Gamer looked at me "The only way out is to find the exit, but this place is so much like a maze... I get lost every time or he kills me". I looked at Gamer, worry and guilt stuck in my throat "Crawler?" "Yeah-" "Little angel lost in Hell~" Gamer froze in fear, the lullaby could be heard, echoing in the dead silence- Gamer immediately grabbed my arm and started running, dragging me behind him.
The streets started getting darker as we ran, Gamer sped up as we turned a corner, I looked up at the dark-crimson red sky that was turning all the puddles to blood... that was before the next street we turned onto was in ruins "Fear inside and darkness within, warned love of a demon~". I attempted summoning my scythe, but nothing happened "Gamer-" "I was powerless back in Heaven" great... just great. But that's not the thing I was worrying about now... it was the fact that Akire didn't exactly tell us how to get rid of Crawler.... we blindlessly listened to a complete stranger to the point that all three of us were in a state where we were unable to do anything.
(Death's POV)
I sat there, holding the rope as Akire danced around with a deck of tarot cards, soon stopping next to me and fanning them out in her hand "Pick one" "If you haven't noticed, I can't at the moment". Akire randomly picked a card, inspecting every detail of it, smirking "What is it?" I asked, raising an eyebrow "A little look into your future" "And?" "You really want to know?" "Yeah". "If I tell you, you wouldn't try to stop it, right?" "Only if it's bad" Akire narrowed her eyes "Even if I tell you, there'll be nothing you can do to change it" she warned "Do we still want to know?" she asked, I nodded my head. "You'll end up confused about something, it'll also leave another confused as they are that something. They'll wouldn't know how to follow their heart and be blinded by the blueness of what isn't they desire. You're the red strings that plays them like a puppet and when you pass the line, friendship will become more than you want it to be". "The fuck is that supposed to mean?" "It means you'll find 'love' the hard way and end up dragging a friend down with you" I looked down, thinking about what Akire said, but then remembering what she said earlier when doing that tarot reading. "You said that you saw 'the green' in my future as well… what is that?" Akire smirked "Now that's part of your future I'm gonna have to keep quiet as you might end up trying to prevent it, but make it happen in a horrible way, and it will probably kill a friend you value" I looked back at Gamer, dead asleep. "Now I'm not saying it's gonna kill him, but there is a chance he'll be affected by a stunt you pull in the future" "What do you mean?" "You know death has a way catching up to people, but sometimes death himself can stand in the way of murder to keep the person alive… remember that little saying next time you do something stupid".
I glared at her before turning my attention on Angel and Gamer's unconscious bodies "So how are they going to get rid of Crawler in there?" "Oh, they're not" my eyes widened with worry until- "They have to find the soul that Crawler has taken, only when both of them have their soul I can do my thing" "What do you mean by 'soul'?" I asked. "Dream caters usually are able to make dreams and nightmares just like that" Akire snapped her fingers "Yet there are a few that need to take the soul of the person in order to keep long-term dreams and nightmares going, Crawler is one of those few". Akire placed her cards down on a table "But for each of those dream caters, where they hide or how they protect the soul is unknown, it really depends on the demon".
(Angel's POV)
"Run through the streets in the dead of night, darkness itself becomes your light~" we reached a broken wall, hiding behind it- I noticed a mirror on the opposite side of us, showing the reflection of the dream cater until Gamer quickly turned the mirror around, holding a finger up to his lips as I nodded my head... this is his nightmare, might as well follow his lead until we find mine. "While their love is dismembered alive, little angel is frozen in ice~" we both backed up into the wall, holding our breath as the singing stopped, only Crawler's light footsteps could be heard... by the look on Gamer's face, this is the longest he's made it in this very nightmare. "I know you're here little angel~" Crawler's voice was low and threatening, yet still melodic "You're here for real this time.... thanks to a witch doctor" he started laughing a bit "Oh how much fun I'm going to have killing you for the last time... it'll be more painful than a snapped neck!". Crawler leaned over the wall and grabbed Gamer, covering his mouth as if trying to suffocate him while the fallen punched and kicked in attempts to get free. I looked around until finding a long metal rod, I quickly picked it up and stabbed Crawler in the back. The dream cater yelled out in pain, letting go Gamer. I grabbed Gamer's arm and ran down the street, turning onto another street and going through an open door of a building. We ran down the hallway of the building until going through yet another door, ending up in the pitch black for a few seconds until a spot light shone down on us and my heart stopped... we were in the middle of an empty school gymnasium.
"Little Reaper had a dream, then little reaper start to scream~" Crawler's voice echoed through the hallway behind us. I grabbed Gamer's arm once again and ran over to the exit on the otherside, leading into more of the school. "Run down the hall as fast you can, RUN MY LITTLE DEMON!~" his voice was faint, yet still echoed through the corridors as we ran pass several classrooms. "Little reaper could run no more, tears making eyes grow sore" I ran faster "Don't stop running, he wants us to hide in a classroom" I somewhat whispered to Gamer as we continued to run. "Bones not broken, believes their lies... royal veins and bleeding eyes~" we could heard Crawler walking into one of the classrooms we ran past, throwing the desks everywhere "How did you-" "That's how he got me last time" I answered Gamer as we made it to the exit of the building, going through it to be met with complete darkness... but also finding ourselves in a place we've never seen before.....
