As we were outside the café, I saw a modest looking dark red minivan that is parked at the road on front of us.
Rei approaches the minivan and I follow in pursuit.

As we are near the minivan, the driver's seat opens and someone got out of the car.
That someone is Arnold.

Arnold approach me and offers to take care of my luggage.

"Let me handle your luggage. You go right ahead and take a seat."

I took his offer of kindness.

"Thanks!"

After that, Arnold takes my luggage and heads for the trunk of the minivan.

As for me, I head for the back seat while Rei head for the seat beside the driver's seat.

Rei and I entered the minivan almost simultaneously. Rei was ahead by a second or two.

As Rei and I sat comfortably at our seat and Rei puts on her seatbelt, Arnold enters the minivan through the driver's seat.

After he sat down, he closes the door, put on his seatbelt and starts driving slowly out of the vicinity of the café.

As we left the vicinity of the café and entered the road that leads out of the Airport, Rei speaks to me.

"Are you alright with fast food? If not, we can go for sushi or a home cook meal instead."

"Fast food is alright with me."

"Great!"

Rei reacted to my answer cheerfully.

I guess she still like fast food until now.

She never change.

We leisurely talk about what we have been doing for the past 10 years while Arnold from time to time reacts to our conversation.

I told them the places where I have been after me and my parents left Libra city, how my parents were and a bunch of other stuff.

I didn't tell them about me being a mage or about my involvement in the world of the occult or about my plans to hunt down those cult members who kidnapped me and Sonia.

I pretty much said everything to them that needs be said in order to catch up and I ran out of things to say so I asked about how those two love birds met.

They immediately told me their love story in a cute and funny way.

I was surprised to know that those two met in a case a serial YouTuber Killer and they are at each other's throats since the police didn’t want the assistance of the prosecutor’s office.

Eventually, the case got deeper and crazier which eventually led the police force and the prosecutor’s office to work together to catch the culprit and they actually found out who it is.

As they were about to arrest the culprit in his residence after they got the warrant of arrest from Rei, the culprit went on a frenzy and pull out a gun and pointed at Rei who joined in on the arrest to see the case through.

Before the culprit pulls the trigger on Rei, Arnold immediately swoops in and pushes her out of the way which results Arnold being shot in the arm instead.

The police were able to neutralize the culprit with a tazer bullet which results into incapacitating the culprit.
Rei felt bad for Arnold and visited him at the hospital.

Arnold tries to brush Rei’s guilt off saying that is his job as an officer to keep citizens safe, but Rei insist on doing something for him.

So both of them argue back and fort on whether to settle the debt or not till eventually Arnold gives in and just asks Rei to treat him to dinner.

Rei, agrees and does just that as soon as Arnold was discharge.

After their first dinner together, they actually enjoyed each other’s company and became friends and after that, they start hanging out together more often and then love starts blooming between them and the rest is history.

If you ask me, their love story is good enough to be a live action series or a movie on Netflix.

I incidentally I stare at the window while listening to Arnold and Rei telling me their love story.

As I did, I see the beautiful night skyline full of sky scrapers with hologram ads, drones flying around that looks like stars in the sky, the upside down maglev train which is Libra City's number one public transport and the blimp that Marie wanted to ride.

I wonder what Marie is doing right now?

We did add each other on Facebook, but I guess I'm not close enough to just randomly chat with her.

We had dinner at a local burger joint before heading Rei and Arnold's apartment which I will be staying at from now on.

As to what we have for dinner, it is a jumbo sized double patty cheese burgers with bacon and large fries, a large soda and apple pie pockets for deserts.

I didn’t tell Rei exactly what I wanted and just tell her to order me whatever and she just ordered what she will be having.

I gotta say, that is a lot of food and I’m surprise how Rei keeps in shape from eating junk like that.

Anyways, after we ate dinner, we head back to Rei and Arnold’s apartment.

As we arrived, Rei and Arnold asked if I needed help in unpacking, and I told them I can handle it myself.

I don't want to bother the couple anymore longer and besides, I can do it myself instantly.

We greet each other good night and after that, I left the couple and left for the room that is assigned to me.

As I entered my room, I saw the cardboard boxes full of my stuff that is scattered around the room.

If I do this manually, it will definitely take a lot of time but if I do it all instantly, they might get suspicious.

Hmm...

Fuck it! Ill just make some random excuse later.

I approach the door and lock it just in case if Rei or Arnold suddenly barged in.

After I had locked the door, I raised my hand and pointed at the boxes that were scattered on the floor and pour mana into my hand.

"Invoke!"

I said in a stern voice and a bluish light appeared on front of my hand.

That bluish light is the physical manifestation of mana which is the energy that allows us to do magic.

"Unpack!"

As I said that, the items that were in the box springs out and floats in midair.

"Arrange!"

Just as I commanded, the items arrange and store themselves in their proper places like the books arrange themselves in the shelves, my blanket and pillow flies towards the bed, my computer desk and study desk assembles themselves and my pc place itself on top of the computer desk and so on.

If anyone sees this right now, they would probably think that they are experiencing a poltergeist.

After I was done unpacking, the mana that is on front of my hand disappears.

After that, I prepare for another spell by laying my hands on the empty boxes and pouring mana into my hand.

"Invoke!"

I said in a stern voice and mana manifest on front of my hand.

"Dispose!"

As I said that, the manifestation of mana turned black and the empty boxes disintegrates into nothingness.

I just cast a curse on the boxes.

Curses is a form of dark magic after all so the manifistation of mana would turn black due to corruption.

In order to use curses, you would need to have strong negative emtions that coincides with the seven deadly sins.

As to what negative emotions that I use to cast the curse, it is laziness which is related to sloth.

There are magi that specializes in curses and we call them witches and sorcerers.

The art of witchcraft is the study and the use of curses after all.

The curse that I used don't work on living things though so it is safe if you cast it near people although non living things wont be safe if your accuracy is off.

After the box disintegrated, the black mana that is in front of my hand disappears.

As I was done disposing the card board boxes, I head straight to bed.

I'm exhausted from traveling.

As I lay on my bed, I felt something hard, small and bulky that is prickling back.

I took out the object that is prickling my back while still lying on the bed and to see what it was.

As I did, I saw a small treasure box with a lock that has no keyhole.

I immediately recognize what that treasure box is.

It is a treasure box that kept my memento of Sonia.

It must have flown towards the bed earlier when I was unpacking.

I point my right index finger on the tiny treasure box and pour a tiny amount of mana into my index finger.

“Invoke!”

As I said that, mana manifest on my index finger.

"Open…"

I said in a soft voice.

The lock was released and the box opens.

This box is a magic item which is a product of alchemy that needs the owner to shoot mana into it and command it to open.

I look at the contents of the box which is a beaded black bracelet that Sonia made for me for my 7th birthday.

I stare at the item for a while before sealing the box back.

After I sealed the box, I place it beside me and gradually I fell asleep.

Next day…

I look at the mirror to check if everything is in place.

I don't want to look messy on my first day in Uni.

As I look at the mirror, I saw my scarlet eyes staring back at me and my jet black layered hair.

The white hood and the black jeans I'm wearing seems a little bit crinkly.

That’s no problem at all, I can just fix it with magic.

I point my left hand on my hoodie and my right hand on my black jeans which makes me look like I’m about to do some modern hip-hop dance step.

“In-”

Before I could use magic to fix my clothes, I heard a knock on my door.

Knock* Knock* Knock*

“Yuto?”

It was from Rei.

I immediately stop what I was doing and answer the door.

“Yeah?”

“Do you need a ride to Uni?”

“There is no need to trouble yourself.”

I answered.

“Are you sure? It’s been ten years since you have been back and you might get lost.”

Rei asked.

“Yeah! No worries! I can get there myself and besides, I wanna do a bit of sight seeing before heading to Uni.”

I answered.

I wasn’t lying about wanting to go sight seeing. I wanted to see how much have changed for the past 10 years.

“Alright then but do not get side tracked or else you might be late on the first day.”

Rei said with a stern look on her face.

“Yeah, yeah sis! I know.”

I responded.

“Alright then!”

Rei answered with a smile reen all of a sudden, she hugs me.

“Welcome back Yuto.”

Rei whispered with a hint of loneliness.

I can’t blame her since we haven’t seen each other for the past 10 years after all and Rei had to live by herself all this time since she couldn’t come with us because of her scholarship in a certain prestigious college.

“Yeah, I’m back sis and I wont be leaving anytime soon.”

I said to assure her.

“Good.”

She responded.

After that, Rei let goes off me.

“Alright then! Take care!”

She said with a smile and leaves in a happy pace.

Seeing sis happy like that gives me the urge to protect her.

Not just her but Arnold as well.

I’ll make sure nothing will ever lay a hand on the both of them.

Deities, evil Magis, demons, cults, evil spirits and the occult in general, if anyone ever tries to touch them both and I’ll make sure that they wont get to see another day.

I promise the both of them that.

The tragedy that occured 10 years ago will never happened now that I’m here and I have the means to do so.

Now that’s all said and done, it’s time for me to go to Uni.

In well lit hotel room that has a magnificent view of the Libra City skylines, there is a girl who seemed to be in her early 20’s is setting up her laptop and camera for a stream.

She was tapping on her keyboard adjusting her settings and layout in OBS.

(Note: OBS is an application to record videos and to stream.)

“And that should do it!”

The girl said merrily while clasping her hands together.

After she was done setting up, she looks at her appearance once again to see if she is presentable through looking at the footage of herself in OBS and as she was done she clicks on the go live button.

“Yahallo! It’s me Marie and as you can see, I’m streaming in my hotel room in Libra City. Let me give you guys a quick tour. Hold on!”

Marie takes the camera and start walking around her hotel room.

She shows each section of her hotel room and complimenting each section as hard and honestly as she can.

After she was done giving a tour of her room, she places her camera back on the table on where her laptop is and seats on the couch and picks up her phone that was lying beside her.

“Now then, as promised, today’s stream will be Q and A so here it goes!”

Marie taps on her phone.

“Wow! You guys certainly send a lot of question in Marshmallow. Well then! Let’s start with the first question. Let’s see... It says... What is this? What is with these weird symbols? It’s so creepy! It must be a prank...”

All of a sudden, Marie’s face became blank and drops her phone.

Then she suddenly stood up and lifelessly and picks up a box cutter meant to open packages that she received from her fans that is on the table.

After she picked up the box cutter, she sat on the sofa, look dead straight into the camera, show her viewers her left wrist.

Then she place her the edge  of the box cutter on her wrist.

She slices her wrist.

The viewers who saw that spammed the chat expressing their shock and disbelief.

Marie continues to slice her wrist to the point that her face is covered in blood.

Soon after, Marie fell on the sofa and slowly losing consciousness.

Viewers who saw the whole ordeal immediately called emergency services and the police.
