I could hardly believe that they were making KIDS sing such a song. What was wrong with the Pack? No, what was wrong with these Instructors? Omega’s would never understand the song until they were older and it paints the Alpha’s as superior and Omega’s as inferior.
There needs to be changes to the Pack.
The Omega’s needs to know that they can be strong.
To be more.
Could this be what Alpha wants for the Pack, for it to change? Is this the reason why I’m here?
“Very well,” I growled lowly glaring at the words. To think that this was my destiny if I didn’t agree to be in Alpha Training.
Now to figure out how to show the Omega’s that we are strong. I felt something wrap around my waist and looked down. A small Omega-Born was hugging me gently or tightly in their sense. Unfolding my arms I placed a hand on the Omega-Born’s head and gently rubbed, at least I hope it was gently.
Maybe a little gentler.
Their little brown tail wagged and they purred.
Alright so my Gentle needs to be gentler, some Omega-Born’s can break it seems.
“Good Alpha,” the little one said soothingly gently rubbing their face on me, I took a breath in and relaxed. I hadn’t realized that I was so high on alert that everything started to hurt just from taking a break. “Such a good Alpha, no more growling, 'kay?”
“I’m trying,” I muttered feeling even more out of place but in place at the same time. What even am I anymore? My birth is Omega-Born but I feel even more like an Alpha now. But when I’m with the Alpha’s I feel more like an Omega-Born.
‘Quiet. Listen and Learn,’ Justice growled bringing me out of my tumbling thoughts. He was right, I should learn what is happening with the Omega’s now. Maybe it will give me a base of what needs to be changed.
The song has got to go for one. But how?
I felt a hand reach my eyes and I opened them, another Omega-Born was there wiping at my eyes with their little hands. Couldn’t help but notice that my eyes were stinging and my vision was getting blurry. I was gently pulled down to sit and they basically made a cuddle puddle around me.
I somehow managed to let my guard down enough to sleep properly, much to Justice’s caution but I felt so tired. So tired of being a strong Alpha, so tired of so many spars, so tired of waking up early and starting the day with exercising. Why couldn’t I stay an Omega and not have to worry about anything?
No, that’s not it.
I just need more rest, I don’t want to give anything up.
I shouldn’t have to, I’ve come to far to stop now. I’ll be strong for the Omega-Born’s, I’ll become strong so that we can live comfortably.
I need to get up now.
I can’t linger on such warmth and affection that I don’t deserve.
Opening my eyes the Omega-Born’s were sleeping around me, how could I let them be so defenseless? What if something happened?
I can’t make the same mistake.
When the Omega-Born’s woke up it was time to play, I practiced being gentle with them. The little flinch when I touch them was reward enough to stop and watch. It didn’t stop them from trying to include me but I don’t want to make them feel even more scared of me.
The time I like most is Tea Time. Oddly enough. I can just sit and listen to the Omega-Born’s talk about their day. I know if I even attempt to talk about my day the Alpha’s would shut it down immediately.
It was interesting how they can talk about nothing and sound so soothing.
Returning back to the Alpha Dorms was the most exhausting and relieving thing I’ve ever felt. Exhausting because of what happened before and having to put my armor back on and relieving because it has the privacy I need. I don’t want people to think that I’m weak just from spending a day with the Omega-Born's.
It was all so bizarre as I laid down on my bed thinking of the day. This was actually the first time I took the time to relive the day. I figured I would put this in my routine.
‘You! Are an Elite Omega! You should train!’ Justice growled, ‘The test is only a few days away and I can feel that you are slacking!’
I laid on the bed for a little longer trying my best to ignore Justice’s grumbles. Sighing I got up and started the stretches I was instructed to do, followed by the routines and reps. I wasn’t allowed to stop until my Wolf told me to.
Returning to the Omega District I was told to go into a new room for my lessons. It was even worse than the young Omega-Born’s. These were wolves my age but they were being taught how to be good mothers.
I have a feeling that I will not like this class or its Instructor.
This and the song will have to go.
Baby dolls were in the arms of the Omega-Born’s and watching them take care of the plastic potatoes was enough for me to growl constantly.
The doll in front of me laid on the desk with a plastic bottle and diapers and baby clothes. The other things I have no idea about but they smelled awful!
Poking the potato it started making such a screeching noise that I nearly threw it across the room until one of the Omega-Born’s stopped me and started rocking it.
“Shush little bug, everything is ok,” the female Omega-Born said gently then turned to me, “you need to take care of your pup. If you make them cry you’ll lose parenting points but if you take good care of them then you’ll gain more points to help you take care of your pup.”
“What?” I stared at her and she started pointing out the starting items to me and naming them in order that I should deal with.
“Let’s try feeding the future Alpha,” she said and pointed to the gross smelling jar with a spoon next to it. “Open the jar and pick up the spoon and bring the spoon to the pups mouth. If she cries then she doesn’t want to eat.”
I stared at the jar.
“Hurry! You can’t lose any more points, if you do then you can’t be a mother!”
“Says who?” I growled and looked at her. She flinched but then smacked me lightly on the head.
“Says Alpha!”
“I doubt Alpha Rodger has any say on who becomes a mother-”
“No THE Alpha!” she pointed to the Instructor. I scoffed and started to laugh.
“That’s no Alpha,” I said loudly and the room got quiet as said Instructor looked up.
“What did you say?” She growled, I stood tall while the other Omega-Born’s knelt down cowering on the floor. She started to stink of something rotten and I growled deeply and took a few steps towards her.
“You heard me FAILED,” I growled Challenging her. She flinched and looked away quickly, she didn’t want a Challenge. So she must be weak if she won’t even put up a fight against an Omega-Born. “Some Alpha you are, can’t even take on a proper Challenge with an Omega-Born.”
“We are not suppose to fight Omega-Born’s,” she growled but refused to look at me.
“Say that to the Alpha’s that Challenge me everyday and lost. I am an Alpha, you are a Failed. You have no right to teach these Omega-Born’s how to be a mother!” I growled.
“I have every right!” She turned to me quickly but then looked down just as quickly, “I am the Alpha you will obey!”
“I only obey the strongest! And that is the Alpha of the Pack! Anyone under him is to be respected but anyone weaker than me should sit.” I growled.
“You are an Omega-Born! You will listen to me!” She snapped at me quickly but retreated when I made no move.
“You know exactly what happens when a weak Alpha Challenges a stronger one, I’m lenient enough to let you get away with one strike but the next one I’m going for your throat.”
“You are not an Alpha!” She growled, “You are a Failed! Now take care of you Child!”
“I would rather go hunting than stay here another second! You don’t tell me what to do.”
“Hunting comes after learning on how to be a good bit-mother!”
“Omega’s are more than Breeding Bitches!”
“Enough!” She howled weakly and the Omega-Born’s whimpered but before I could Go Wolf she quickly left. “Ruffian! Oliver you’re in charge!”
I have every right to Challenge her but for the sake of the class I’ll let her be.
“Uhm,” an Omega-Born gently pulled my sleeve, looking at them they flinched but continued on bravely. “M-Mr. Alpha...”
“Holly! Get away from the rapscallion!” I assume Oliver said. It was the same Omega-Born that was teaching me how to take care of a pup. Holly quickly went away to the furthest corner of the room.
I walked over to the Pedestal the Alpha had for herself and leaned against it watching over the class of Omega-Born’s. Oliver scoffed at me but I ignored them, as my sole purpose right now was to watch over the Omega-Born’s as their Alpha.
I wasn’t about to let anything happen to My Pack.
The door opened and I prepared to charge at the returning Failed. Pausing I watched as some Beta-Born’s walk in. They still had their ears and tails out but I knew that they can put those away any time they want. They were nearing 16 at least. It wouldn’t be right to fight them since they can’t Go Wolf but if they do something that is against the rules of the Pack then I’m allowed to step in.
“Look at little Olivia,” they mocked ignoring me clearly in their path to Oliver. “Think she’s all high and mighty!”
“Aw, she’s shaking!” they walked around me and I could see that Oliver wasn’t liking the situation. All he has to do was give me a signal that told me he was in danger or uncomfortable but he was holding his hand up telling me to stop. “You’re still not upset about last time are you? I thought you had fun.”
I growled deeply, I decided that if they put a hand on him I’ll throw them out myself. But Oliver was still telling me ‘No’. I patiently waited for them to make their final move.
“Who’s the new Bitch?” one of the Beta-Born’s in the back of the little pack asked.
“Alpha,” I growled turning my attention to the weakest one and shifting my gaze to the strongest. “You are threatening my Pack.”
“Pfft, you an Alpha? The only Alpha in this room is Me,” the ‘Alpha’ said as I stared at them in a Challenge. If he was a true Alpha he would know to back down.
“Then shall we step out and settle this like Alpha’s?” I asked making it clear that I want a Challenge.
“What’s an Omega like you talking like an Alpha?” the ‘Alpha’ sneered. “Think you’re all that just because you talk like me?”
“I can tell who an Alpha is immediately because of my 3 years in Alpha Training and who has tasted. I’ve fought Alpha-Born’s twice as big as you and won. Now,” I growled and stepped towards them not showing any signs of backing down. “Stand down before I am forced to bare my Fangs.”
I walked between the Beta-Born’s and the Omega-Born’s to guard them, it was also a Challenge when I circled them once. The Omega-Born’s behind me reeked of Fear but it soon went away when I stood between them and the Threat.
“You think you’re all that?” The Beta-Born asked as they started backing out of the room, “well just you wait! Stupid Omega!”
“Yeah, watch yourself Stupid Omega!”
“Weakling!” The Beta-Born’s were out the door, their stench of Fear was soon fading away.
“Oliver?” I asked as I turned to him, he stopped shaking and glared at me.
“Get away! I had it under control!” Oliver’s voice cracked as he walked towards the Omega-Born’s.
“As long as you are ok,” I said and went to a corner where the door was and still watched over the Omega-Born’s. I watched as the Omega-Born’s comfort each other by nuzzling and I soon realized how much of an Alpha I really was. I can’t comfort another Omega-Born with words alone but it’s all I know. Touch was never a large factor in the Alpha Den.I feel even more out of place here.
I don’t belong here.
“Alpha,” Oliver walked over looking calmer now and less angry in his voice. “You are not one of us. You’ll never be an Omega.”
“I understand.”
“Sorry, thank you for standing up for us but I’m scared of what will happen to you. Those Alpha-Born’s say that they will be back and they will hurt you.” I nearly laughed at his words but held back.
“Nothing to fear, I was trained on how to deal with these situations. They can’t do anything to me or My Pack because I’m of Higher Rank,” I said hoping to calm their Fears. “Same with that Failed of an Instructor.”
“You keeping saying ‘My Pack’ what does that mean?” Oliver asked.
“You are My Pack, you and everyone else in this room. We may not see eye to eye but that doesn’t mean I won’t protect you from Threats or when you need help. I can’t do anything an Omega-Born can do but hopefully you’ll see me as a reliable Alpha.”
Oliver looked down and away, after a few moments looked at the other Omega-Born’s. My attention went to the door waiting for either the Beta-Born’s or the Failed to come back.
“Alpha,” Oliver looked at me and my attention was focused on them again. “Will you teach us how to stand up to those Alpha’s?”
“If that is what you want little Omega,” I said and Justice growled at me for it.
“Please, just a little?” I nodded and moved away from the door and pushed some desks aside.
“First off, never shy away too much. A little goes a long way.”
“What do you mean?”
“Look into my eyes,” Oliver looked at my eyes without fear but soon looked down with his head. “Wrong. The only thing you need to move is your eyes, if that is uncomfortable for you then move your head a tiny bit.”
“How?”
“Watch how I do it, I don’t do this unless the Alpha has my entire respect. Whatever you do, do not look away. No matter how much you want to,” I looked into Oliver’s eyes and waited for him to adjust to it before flicking my eyes to his chin and lowering mine a tiny bit. “That is how. It shows respect to the other, not complete submission. Again it only works if you absolutely respect the Alpha, anyone else doesn’t deserve it if you don’t know them.”
“But we can’t do that-”
“Yes you can,” I said stopping Oliver from putting himself and possibly others down. “You are an Omega-Born, you have the power to control an Alpha no matter how strong. Out hunting the Omega-Born’s practically run the operation. I got scolded for growling at one, I admit I still need to fix that...”
“What about name calling?”
“Name calling? That is the least of your worries if you don’t know how to defend yourself. But I suppose that does have a factor in it. What they say is not true. It’s never true. If they say you are fat, you are actually skinny like a twig. Honestly eat something I’m worried. If you are dumb, you are actually more smarter than them and they don’t want to admit that. The Stupid Meatheads.”
The Omega-Born’s laughed as they sat around me and Oliver talking. I had the incredible urge to circle as we talk, it might have been because of Coach’s teachings or I felt Challenged.
