March 21, 1096 (not the date of the dream)
The creaking bed, slamming into the wall, barely overtook the loud moans echoing in the room. Even the heavy breathing became secondary to the cries. Fingers dug into the moving hip's skin, leaving behind finger marks.
The body sitting above leaned forward, tightly holding the shoulders of the one under him as he crazily rode the person. "Please, p-pl-ah!" The rider pleaded for something, anything to consume the burning fire within him.
The person under the man snapped his hips up faster, holding the other's hips down while slamming against the man's sweet spot.
The man's mouth opened in a silent scream as his fingers started scratching down the person's shoulder. The nails were short but still left marks on the skin. One hand slid off the man's hip, grabbing the leaking length that begged for attention.
"N-Nabu!" The man screamed out, feeling his climax getting close. He rolled his hips while squeezing the rigid length inside him, not once letting up as Nabu cursed under him.
Nabu picked himself up, sticking his nose into the beta's scent gland on his neck. He deeply inhaled, practically moaning as the scent of the forest hit his nose. He could not stop himself from thrusting faster and harder as he grew closer himself.
The moaning sounds in his ear drove him crazy as he caught the man's lips, sloppily kissing him as he swallowed down each cry. Nabu explored the mouth before him, devouring every inch he could reach before separating so that they could breathe.
Saliva slipped down their skin, mixing with their sweat as they separated while breathing hard. Nabu rested his forehead on the man's forehead, giving one more thrust with his moving hand as they both climaxed with cries on their lips.
Nabu filled the body's hole as he felt liquid falling down his hand. He did not slip out, staying inside the filled hole while catching his breath. "River." He whispered as his lips softly touched the others. "Again."
Lips captured his as nails sunk into his back while tired hips started again.
The night barely began.
Prince Nabu woke up from his dream, sweating hard as he could feel the problem between his legs. He groaned, slamming his head on his pillow while biting the inside of his cheek.
The night from three years ago continues to haunt his dreams each time.
He had slept with others many times before, but River is someone his body did not want to forget. The soft, heated skin over and under him, while sexy lips and skillful hands moved across his lips and body.
Throwing off the covers, Prince Nabu felt too heated. He ran his hand through his messy long hair before standing up; he wanted—no, needed—to see River and his son.
He knows it has been a week since he had seen them, but it was never enough. Prince Nabu wanted to stay longer but knew he couldn't. His family and people are already suspicious of him because he is always disappearing. Plus, he never tells anyone where he is going.
But, nothing could keep him away—nothing.
He stood up from his bed, getting ready to change and pack to start his two-day journey to Eswein territory.
March 23, 1096
After seeing River, ignoring the tightness in his heart from River's word, he made his way to his son.
Prince Nabu entered Esterwin Forest—a forest known for the many dangerous animals that resided. It was also a place to hunt for meat that could last for days since the animals were vast.
But, not many hunted here unless they were expert hunters. It may be exciting to have meat. But it is idiotic to lose your life over something you know you cannot do. That is why Esterwin Forest is almost a secluded area in Eswein territory.
Further and deeper into the woods laid a big house, pushed away from civilization. A warrior and his wife, many years ago, built a home in this forest because they did not want to be near the chaos. They even had a child after three years of finishing their place.
As they grew older, the husband died while the child left and never returned. The wife was the only one who stayed, not wanting to leave a house full of memories. Isolated and alone, Prince Nabu wondered if she ever felt lonely.
Three years ago, a pregnant River and Prince Nabu discovered the home. River asked the older woman if he could live there to raise his son since he did not want to get rid of him. He even told her he would pay anything.
The older woman, kinder than anyone they met, agreed without charge. She even gave the main house to River while she stayed in the guest one. She touched his stomach with nostalgia on her face while telling him to raise his child well.
And not only is she kind, but she is a strong woman. Prince Nabu did not mean physical strength but mental. She is a blind omega who has had no support since her husband died and her child left her. Prince Nabu is still surprised she never left, even though he knew why.
Once Prince Nabu reached the house after carefully walking through the words, he entered the barely-locked home. He heard a child happily humming while an older woman, with an affectionate voice, said, "Now, try to write your name so that you can show papa when he returns."
He only took two steps before the woman turned around with closed eyes that never opened and a sweet wrinkled smile, "Ah, Mr. Lan, you are back. It has been a week, right? I hope they aren't working you too hard."
Prince Nabu gave the woman a fake name so she wouldn’t know he is royalty from a different territory. He even told her that he was a warrior.
Smiling, he walked over while shaking his head, even though she couldn't see it. "No, they aren't, Mrs. Adair."
"Daddy!" Kiyt yelled, jumping from his seat as he ran into Prince Nabu's Legs, wrapping his tiny arms around them. Slightly bending down, Prince Nabu patted his son's back before pulling the boy's arms away so he could pick him up.
Kiyt instantly wrapped his legs and arms around him. It was a tight hold as Kiyt rested his head on his dad's shoulder, taking in his scent. He missed his dad; sometimes, it felt like a long time since he last saw him.
Mrs. Adair slowly stood up from her seat as her legs did not move like they used to. She dusted her long skirt before moving closer to pat Prince Nabu's shoulder and Kiyt's fluffy hair. "I will be going now so you can spend time with your son."
"You don't have to go." Prince Nabu tried stopping her as his hand rubbed his son's back. The boy's scent made him relax; it had been too long since he had seen and held his boy.
Mrs. Adair shook her head, "It is fine. I know how it feels to want to hold your child after being away for so long." The woman's face looked sad, even though he couldn't see her eyes.
Her face held many emotions that did not need the use of her eyes to tell how she felt.
Prince Nabu felt for her. She hasn't seen her child in almost 26 years. He could not understand how a child could leave their parent behind without saying anything.
"Mrs. Adair," he started, only for her to stop him with a smile.
"See you soon." She walked out without another word.
Prince Nabu could only watch her leave with a sigh before giving his attention back to his son. "Would you like to show me your writing?" He asked.
Kiyt picked up his head, eagerly nodding. "I write my name! I get good!"
Laughing, Prince Nabu felt his heart-melting. His son is so adorable and meant the world to him. His innocence and excitement made the evil world crease; it's best if the boy never went outside the forest because he feared his innocence changing (even though Kiyt already knew the smell of blood).
He walked back to the table, sitting Kiyt on the seat, taking the one Mrs. Adair sat at before. He could see the paper filled with scribbled writing beginning to form into words.
Running his hand through Kiyt's hair, Prince Nabu proudly smiled, "You are so smart, Kiyt. Can I see you spell your name?"
A bright smile that could overtake the sun filled the room as Kiyt eagerly nodded before writing on the paper with deep concentration. Prince Nabu watched him with love-filled eyes.
A few hours passed as Kiyt and Prince Nabu were on the ground in the living area, playing a game. As River silently entered the room, taking his face mask off, a growl echoed throughout the house.
Prince Nabu stood up fast as his head instantly snapped towards River as Kiyt jumped from the sudden noise. "Daddy?" He silently asked.
He glared at River as he could not stop another growl from leaving his lips, "Why do you have the small of an omega surrounding you?"
River gritted his teeth, ignoring Prince Nabu as he made his way into the living area, picking up his son. "Don't start in front of Kiyt."
"River."
"I said don't start."
Kiyt looked back and forward, not understanding what happened. But, as a new smell hit his nose, he frowned, leaning back from his father. "Papa stinks."
"He does, doesn't he?" Prince Nabu commented, his glare not lessening one bit.
River glared back before giving Kiyt an apologetic look, "I am sorry, love. I am going to take you to your room right quick so I can speak with your dad."
"But I did my name. I want to show you." Kiyt protested.
"You did?" River exclaimed. "You can show me later, okay."
Kiyt did not want to, but he nodded anyway. River took him to his room as Prince Nabu waited in the living area, fuming from the smell lingering on River.
He dug his nails into his arm, trying to quench his rising anger and possessiveness. When River returned, he looked at Prince Nabu with cross arms, "What did I say about arguing in front of Kiyt?"
"Did you go to the red district to sleep with someone? If you wanted sex, I am right here." Prince Nabu responded.
River clicked his tongue, "Don't talk like I am some slut. And if I did sleep with someone, it is none of your business. We are not together, Nabu. Now, next time you have a problem, wait until Kiyt is in another room."
Prince Nabu bit his tongue, holding back everything he wanted to say. He scoffed instead. He sat back on the ground, cleaning his and Kiyt's mess. "Take a shower; you stink." Those were the only words Prince Nabu said to River without looking up.
His heart and mind were a mess.
"So, I heard." River responded before walking away.
Once River walked out, Prince Nabu broke the toy in his hand, taking his anger out on it. No matter how many times River pushes him away, it would only make his want grow stronger.
After calming down, thinking he would have to buy his son a new toy, Prince Nabu stood up and made his way to River.
He walked into River's bedroom, making his way to the bathroom as he heard the running water. The door laid cracked open as Prince Nabu walked inside.
River turned towards him, his nude body covered with water and soap on full display. Prince Nabu traced the many scars with his eyes as he pulled on his outer robe, opening it.
Sensing his intentions, River glanced away, "Who said you can join me?"
"Then stop me." Prince Nabu stripped nude before joining River in the shower, wrapping his arms around his bare waist.
Prince Nabu felt River leaning back against him instead of pulling away. "I will never love you, Nabu."
"I know."
His lips fell against River's neck, leaving short kisses on it. He will erase every mark left behind from the mystery omega and cover it with his.
