8AM
Angelina slowly opened her eyes, her right arm completely numb. She slowly sat up, slight pain shooting through her aching body. Angelina hissed in pain as she leaned over. She felt like she was gonna be sick yet it also felt impossible for her to throw anything up... it felt as though someone took a hammer to her arm before turning to her head. Angelina turning her gaze to her said right arm, eyes widening in confusion as she was met with a blackish purple bruise, the veins underneath the bruise were a faint black that faded as it reached the normal pale colouring of her skin. Angelina froze up at the sound of footsteps outside of her hospital room, a second later she heard the door unlock whilst she held her arm. The door opened to reveal Dianne "Good morning, Angelina" she smile a bit, holding her clipboard in hand yet as soon as Dianne took one step into the room, Angelina immediately curled up into a ball as if trying to protect herself from anymore harm. "Angelina? is something wrong-" "Leave me alone- get out!" the girl yelled, Dianne immediately walked over to the girl "Angel-" "You said that it was a vaccine- how the hell is this a vaccine?!" Angelina snapped, pointing at the blackish purple bruise on her arm as Dianne looked at it in confusion. Angelina picked up the woman's confusion "...you didn't know" "No... I was told the exact same thing as you" Dianne stated, backing away from the door "I promise you- I'll fix this" Dianne assured the girl whilst walking towards the door "No wait, Dianne-" too late, the woman was already out the door, leaving Angelina out-stretching her left hand as if trying to pull Dianne back into the room.
8:10AM
"It was amazing" Ted told Alex "Her eyes even glowed- they were the most hypnotizing blue-" "Doctor Ruins" Dianne interrupted coldly as she walked into Alex's office "Doctor Thompson, we're currently having a meeting-" "Excuse my intrusion, but I have concerns about the project" Dianne coldly interrupted again as she glared at the two men before her. "Still Dianne, I'm busy-" "You said yourself that I may bother you with matters concerning the project and that wasting words on paper doesn't explain my problems or concerns properly" Dianne reminded Alex "Still-" "Those are your own words, Alex... not mine" her voice was stern and serious, Dianne has never used such tone with anyone, not even with Alex who is in fact her boss. Alex annoyedly signed "Fine, bother me with your concerns".
"Angelina's 'reaction' to the 'vaccine' Ted gave her yesterday-" "Who?" Alex questioned Dianne, she tried to keep her anger under control "Patient 4N63L has horrid bruising on her right arm, the exact place where Ted injected the vaccine" Dianne stated "Normal after-effects of the vaccine-" "I've taken that vaccine before, Alex" Dianne coldly cutted off Alex. "The only known effects humans get from the Krassok plague vaccine is slight numbing of the arm, a light headache and slight drowsiness" Dianne stated "Not horrific pain, complete numbing of the arm or bruising whatsoever" "What are you suggesting, Doctor Thompson?" Alex asked, now glaring back at the woman with a slightly raised brow. "What you gave Angelina wasn't the vaccine for Krassok plague" Dianne said, Ted laughed a bit "Seriously Thompson? Wh-" "Let her talk, Flores" Alex hushed Ted before turning his attention back to Dianne "Tell me now, what did you actually give her?" Dianne asked. Alex reached into the drawer of his desk and pulled out a small empty vaccine bottle "The vaccine for the Krassok plague" he answered "No-" "Let me finish" Alex told Dianne, holding up his hand as if to tell her to calm down a bit. "What the patient got was a much stronger version of the vaccine that we reserve for soldiers only" Alex stated "Why would you give them something so strong?" Dianne questioned him, still angry and deeply concerned about the kids "They have never stepped foot into the Mid Realm before, Dianne... giving them the stronger version of the vaccine was to secure their safety and health, we couldn't take any chances of losing any of them or risking an outbreak of such disease in a place like this" Alex explained.
"I assure you Doctor Thompson, our worries lay on the children first... then everyone else" Alex tried to assure Dianne "I'm sorry that it resulted with one patient gaining the worst of the after-effects, but feel at ease that she'll be alright" Dianne looked at the ground, rejecting Alex's words "I'll believe you when I see that statement for myself" Dianne told him before walking out of the office, door closing behind her. Ted turned to Alex "Why did you lie to her?" Ted asked as Alex placed the old vaccine bottle back into the desk drawer "Because if she knew the actual project and its purpose, she'll stop at nothing to have it shut down" Alex answered, slamming the drawer shut.
8:30AM
Angelina paced around the room, thinking of different ways to escape the hell she was currently in yet thanks to her untameable imagination, her 'plans' always ended up with her either still stuck in the room or being caught, probably killed in the action. It got to the point where Angelina had picked up a random useless book and started pacing around the room with it in hand. After a few minutes of that, Angelina stopping in the middle of the room, the space in-between the door and the hospital bed, before hitting herself in the face with the book, leaving it there to remind herself how useless she was right now. "W̷̤̅ë̷̬́l̷̨̍l̵͓͝ ̷͇̀t̵̙͘ḩ̴̏ȁ̷̪t̴̼̃'s ă̵̞ ̶̬̅p̵̡͝a̴̻̎ț̷̓h̴͈͝e̸̪̍t̵͉̚i̷̪͐c̶̭̔ ̴̲́e̴̝͛s̷̘̍c̸̼͗a̷̡̎p̶̪̅ḛ̷͂ ̷̟̄a̴̙͂ţ̶͠t̴̜͊e̷͚̓m̸̘͌p̶̝̎t̵͉͗" a voice commented from the direction of the bed as Angelina froze up. She slowly turned her head to see a shadowed figure crouched on the bed, staring at her, the same figure that tried to warn her about the 'vaccine' injection. Angelina jumped, throwing the book at the figure before stumbling backwards and falling to the ground... the book flew through the shadowed figure's head "Ṡ̷̡u̵̬͋r̵̓͜ë̸̥́, v̷͔̉e̷̲͌r̷͓̄y̸̫̽ ̸̢̾p̵̣̉o̵͓̓l̵̥̋ḭ̵͋t̷̪͐e̵͖̍ ̷̋ͅẗ̴͕́o̷̖͐ ̴̳̀t̷̪͘ḧ̸́ͅr̴͐ͅo̴͕͝w̸͙͆ ̶͓͒c̵̫̎r̴̘͋ȃ̶̙p̴͖͐ ̸͔͛a̸̩͛t̵̛͎ ̵̡̂t̶͘ͅh̴̺̍ẻ̵̤ ̴͙͂h̸͔͐ȅ̶̹a̷̧͝d̶̖̄ ̶̤̔ô̴̢f̷̞͆ ̷͎͆t̵̢̃h̸̬̎ȩ̴̓ ̷͓̿p̸̩̐é̶̝r̶̯͠s̷͔̔o̷̳̐ṅ̷̡ ̸̯͋w̶͕̐ẖ̷̏ő̸̻ ̵̱̐t̷̻͋ṟ̸̾i̸͔̽é̴̡d̶͈̾ ̵͙͒t̴̩͐o̸̥̓ ̶͔̔w̵̳͑a̵̼͊ṟ̴͑ṇ̸͆ ̸̼̾y̷̺͛ȏ̸̟u̵̩̍ ̸̪̂ý̴͍è̵̼t̵̛͉ ̵̲͠ẙ̵̖o̶͉̊ư̷̳ ̴͇̾i̵͕̾g̷͙̊ń̵̥o̵̻̐r̸̜͘ẽ̵̺d̵̯̅ ̶̰̔" the figure snapped as the girl backed up against the door. The figure tilted her head "W̸̩̆a̴̦͌ȋ̴͙ẗ̸̢́..." she rushed off the bed and over to Angelina, she raised her reach towards the girl yet Angelina flinched inwards "Y̸̪͘o̷̹͋û̶̠'r̵̘̽e̵̮̍... s̷̺͌ĉ̷͚ā̶͎r̸̥̍e̸̖͘d̷̖̽? o̶̹͌f̵̮͌ ̸͖̌m̴͇̂e̷̛͔?" the figure quietly questioned, a second later, she grabbed Angelina's face, forcing the girl to look at her "L̶͔̍é̴̖t̸̲͝ ̷̞̐t̸̪̚h̴̞̒i̸̲͒s̴̲̈́ ̴̂ͅb̴̈͜é̵͚ ̷̘̅k̷̏ͅn̸̨͂ơ̸̜ẅ̶̜́ṇ̸̕ ̴̯̅À̶̹n̷͓͆g̵̡̈́e̷̮͘l̴̼̄i̴̙͘n̸͓̒a̶͚̾, Ì̶͕ ̸̛̳a̸̰̚m̸̖̐ ̸̭̍n̶̤̏o̴̝̍t̴͓͒ ̶͍̂t̶͖̃h̸͔͘e̴̩͑ ̸̂͜ŝ̴͖c̷̫͝a̸̯̿r̷̮̃ị̶͝ė̵͎s̸͠ͅt̴̙̓ ̵̱͂t̸̲͘ḥ̸̕ì̶͈ǹ̷̹g̵̳͂ ̶̖͠ŷ̵̧ő̴͜u̷̮̓'ve̴̙̐ ̷̆͜s̸͛͜e̸̛̟ë̴̮́n̴͌ͅ, bu̸̹͠ẗ̵͚́ ̷̧̔I̴̋͜ ̴̼̏ă̸̟s̵̳̈s̶̑͜u̷͈̅r̷͖̾e̶̞̊ ̸̟͘y̴͍̿o̷̲̓ǔ̶̩ ̴̭́t̵͓͛h̵͕͘ä̸̮t̵͉̅ ̷̗͊Í̷͎ ̵̮͝á̵͈m̵̝͒ ̵̡͌f̸̲̾a̷̭͆r̶̢̀ ̶͓͠f̴̜͛r̸̡͝o̷̼͋m̷͉͂ ̷̢̊h̷͍̾a̵̟̔r̸̰͒m̶̯̀l̵̜͛e̶̛̼s̴̘̏s̶̙̅". The figure let go of Angelina's face before disappearing, leaving the girl curled up against the door whilst trying her best to keep herself from crying.
