Hello, my name is Annabelle, that's all you need to know for now. You don't really need to know who I was born as, only what I have done since I was old enough to make my own decisions…….even if others didn't think I was old enough, I guess one other thing is important. I am not mortal, like most of you who are going to be reading this. I am immortal, no I am not a vampire, nor am I of the Fae. My people have been around since the start of time, and we thought that we would be here past the end of time. My people have started dying, they have started to slowly age every single day, something that hasn't happened since maturity had been reached. At what age is maturity you may ask, that would be the mortal equivalent of 20 years that we stop aging at. Ah you must be wondering what I mean by mortal equivalent, I say mortal equivalent because for every one mortal year, one hundred years have passed for my people. We live in the same world, but different. Our worlds are parallel to each other and many more, one of which I believe is responsible for my people dying. 

Let me tell you about my people, I can do that. As I said we have been around since the beginning of time, but that does not mean that we can't die. We can be killed, and there is such a thing as old age for my people, but that comes at about 190,000 years of age. Our oldest is hitting his 300,000 birthday. My people usually die around 900,000 years of age. Some live to be older some don't, it all really depends on what is happening in our world and those around us. We have gone to war with other parallel worlds that are directly connected to ours, like I said, we may be Immortal but we can still die. Though I guess one can say we aren't like True Immortals since like I said we do have such a thing as old age and dying of old age, but we do live extremely long lives.

 When we marry our husbands and wives they are our lifemates, because we believe that the one we marry is the other half of our souls, soulmates if you will. The same is to be said for us royals, even though our mates are chosen for us most of the time. I'm not sure if I can really explain how the Royal families choose mates for their children, since not every mate chosen is Royal themselves, or even from the same world sometimes. Like my great great great great great grandmother was from another world, one that also has long lived people, just not as long lived as us, so I heard.

My people also wield Magick. Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit. A majority of my people wield one or two, while there are some who wield three and maybe only fifteen percent who wield four, but there is rarely anyone that can wield all five. What are the elements you might ask? Earth, Air, Fire and Water are simple. You have power over the elements you possess, say you had Fire Magick--- you could help start a fire, get the spark going, or you could just will the fire into being. Depending on how strong you are. Air users can create wind storms if they have enough power, that helps greatly with the wind turbines that we use for energy. Water users can create heavy rain storms, or light rain, which helps with our crops.  Earth users can make earthquakes happen or sometimes create new landscapes. But Spirit users are capable of making infertile men and women fertile, they can heal the human body, and bring a person back from the brink of death, but not death from old age. There is a myth that extremely strong Spirit users can create life where there wasn't before, that they could create animals that didn't exist before. It's said they can will them into being, as many as they want.

Of course there hasn't been a Spirit wielder in thousands upon thousands of years that could do that. Not even our eldest knows a Spirit wielder that strong. Anyway, remember when I said that it was extremely rare for my people to wield all five elements? I am one of those few. I have hidden it from all of my people, even my parents, and my twin brother. No one knows what I can do. I come from two parents who wield two of the five. My mother wields Fire and Air, my father wields Earth and Water. I chose to show Earth and Fire publicly, but when I am alone, and no one was near me I practiced with my other elements. I have even learned that I can heal hurt animals, so I got to practice with spirit as well. You are probably wondering how I know that I am alone. I guess I may as well tell. I have shared so much more than I originally planned. My family is Royal. We lead the rest of our people. I am, I guess what you mortals call a princess, but my people call me filia luna. Daughter of the moon. My brother is called filius luna. Son of the moon. We were born on a full moon night, a blue moon night. I was one of three others born that night. My twin brother Antonio, and Mae and Niklaus, they are also of a Royal family.

Because I kept the extent of my powers to myself I couldn't be certain if my brother or the others were special like me, but if they were they were hiding just like me. Mae and Niklaus are also twins from the Royal family ruling the south and east. My parents rule the north and west. More Earth and Fire users live in the south and east, and more Air and Water users live in the north and west. Best fit for the climates if you ask me. I suppose after all this I should tell you my age, I am 5,000 years old, we have been hiding for four thousand of that, and here I will truly start the story.
