“Hello, human! I’m Snappy. Snappy the Snapdragon!” 

“I can see you're a little lost. How can I help?”

You stare at him, a little speechless. How on earth are you talking to a flower?

“...”

“You're not much of a talker, are you…?”

“No worries, friend! I can still teach you anyway!”

“Now, do you see that little green heart?” 

You look down and see a little green heart shape on the left side of your chest. A radiant green light emanates from the little heart. You raise your hand to touch it, but you only grasp your sweater. “Woah...”

“That’s your SOUL , the very culmination of your being!”

You move around, watching the green glow illuminate your surroundings. This is kind of fun…

“Down here in the UNDERGROUND, we share something called LV.”

You tilt your head, confused. You ask him what LV stands for. 

“What does LV stand for?”

He grins.

“Why, LOVE of course! You want some LOVE, don’t you?”

You nod.

“Great! Down here, LOVE is shared through little white...”

“Friendliness pellets.” 

Lots of little white pill-shapes appear around you as Snappy speaks.

“Here you go! Try to catch as many as you can!”

The pill-shapes start moving slowly towards you, and you reach out to grab one. As it touches your hand, you feel a slight tingle on your palm. Suddenly, the tingle becomes a searing pain, spreading quickly up your arm. The ache gathers in your chest, forcing you to your knees, and the green glow flickers. When the pain subsides, the glow is barely visible.

“You idiot!”

“Did you really think that I would waste a perfect opportunity like this??”

As Snappy speaks, you try to hoist yourself up, but your legs give out on you. You try to catch yourself, but your arms are just as weak as your legs, and you hit your head against the dirt. It’s soft, but in this state, the impact gives you a headache, and blackness creeps in at the edges of your vision.

“In THIS world, it's KILL or BE KILLED!!”

Snappy surrounds you with “friendliness pellets”. 

“DIE.”
