8am
Angelina was sitting on her bed, going through the absolutely useless book she had thrown yesterday. The girl froze up as she heard footsteps travelling down the corridor outside her room. A second later she heard her door unlock and immediately two soldiers walked right into the hospital room, aiming their guns at Angelina who immediately held her hands up "Patient 4N63L, you are to be escorted to the hospital cafeteria" one soldier harshly told her "Alright alright... I'm moving" Angelina said. She got off the bed, placing the book to the side before walking out of the room, seeing other doors open as well with children being escorted by soldiers as well. All girls wearing white loose dresses whilst the boys all wore white t-shirts and black pants. Angelina took a steady breath before following the line of kids throughout the hospital corridors before walking into a large room "Patients retrieve daily meal before sitting down" a speaker repeated as Angelina hesitantly followed the line.
Once she reached the front of the line, a lady handed her a food tray with scrambled eggs, a bread roll and a small bottle of water "Thank you-" "Keep moving" a soldier beside her harshly spat, causing the girl to flinch a bit before walking away from the line. Angelina looked around the cafeteria, spotting her friends sitting at a table. She quickly walked over to them "Angelina!" Holly quietly exclaimed, quickly getting up to her feet and rushing over to her friend, hugging her yet being careful to not bump her food tray "Hey" Angelina quietly greeted her friend, giving her a small smile before sitting down next to Faith. All five of them were here; Holly, Faith, Vixen, Jacob and Corey... trapped in this hospital just like Angelina. "What's with the weird time on the clocks?" Angelina asked as she looked up at the digital clock on the wall reading 80:23am "I don't know- according to that... we've been here for three whole days" Jacob said "This being the fourth". Angelina raised a brow before turning her head back to her friends, hesitantly starting to each the food she had been given... best to eat now then starve like yesterday. "Did you guys get some sort of vaccine?" Angelina found herself asking her friends "Yeah... painful though" Faith answered "What about bruises? or dead arms?" Angelina questioned yet her friends just shook their heads "Absolute pain? hurt so much to be screaming?" she asked "No, none of that" Faith stated as a blue-eyes boy with light brown hair walked over to their table. "Mind if I sit?" he asked the group "I... don't know anyone here" he admitted "Of course- empty seat by me" Vixen said, gesturing to the seat beside him "Can I sit with you guys too?" a girl's voice asked.
Angelina turned her head to see a skinny girl with pale blonde hair "Sure, right here" Angelina smiled, moving over a bit so the girl could sit "Thank you... I'm Lilly- patient L11Y" Lilly corrected yet introduced herself "I'm Faith, T12X1" Faith butted in "I'm Faith's cousin, Holly and apparently HØ1LY" Holly chimed in. "Jacob, J4CØ3 and this is Vixen, V1X34" Jacob smiled as Vixen rolled his eyes "I am Corey, CØ12Y" Corey tiredly introduced himself "Right, well if we're doing this... I'm TØM45, but you guys can call me Tom" the brown-haired boy said before turning his head to Angelina. "And you?" he asked as Angelina looked at her wrist "4N63L..." she half answered "So... Angel?" "It's Angelina" she corrected Tom "Right... they had to shorten your name to make a code" Tom muttered "I'm sorry, but- I just have to know if those doctors were telling the truth" Lilly started, gaining the entire table's attention. "Can you guys see monsters or crap too?" Lilly asked "What type of question is that- of course we bloody can" Vixen rudely answered before Corey leaned over and lightly hit him in the head "Hey-" "Don't be fucking rude" Corey quietly snapped at Vixen as Tom looked around the cafeteria. "That answer would apply to all the kids stuck in here" Tom said as Angelina's gaze landed on his right arm... a blackish-purple bruise from the 'vaccine' ejections they all got two days ago... the same reaction Angelina herself had. "Hey Tom-" all of a sudden, Corey stood up out of his seat before falling to the ground "Corey-" Angelina had to quieten her voice as a soldier rushed over to her friend whilst one of the doctors who had only just walked into the room ran over, while all the other children within the cafeteria were watching from where they either stood or sat.
The doctor bent down, quickly checking Corey's eyes and pulse before turning to the soldier "Get him to the surgical ward, now" "Yes sir" the soldier said, picking up Corey and carrying him as the soldier followed the doctor out of the cafeteria. "The hell-" "And I've lost my appetite" Vixen stated, pushing his half-finished tray away "Patients are to head back to their rooms now" the speaker announced. Angelina stood up yet was quickly stopped by Tom "Did you see his neck?" he asked "N-no" "He had a faded bruise on his neck, meaning he's getting a separate 'treatment' than everyone else" Tom quickly told Angelina. "We're the only two kids with dark bruises from the fake vaccine, meaning us two are different from the others, just like how Corey's the only kid to have passed out" Tom stated, trying to be quick as the soldiers started escorting children out of the cafeteria "Angelina, trust me- Dianne's the only person in here we can trust". Angelina raised a brow "How would you-" "She's only a children's therapist, she hasn't been told the actual reason why we're all here-" "Move it, kid" a soldier interrupted, grabbing Tom by the back of his shirt, turned him around and pushed him towards the door of the cafeteria whilst another soldier did the same to Angelina.
Surgical Ward, 9am
Corey slowly opened his eyes, finding himself laying on a hospital bed with leather-like restraints on his wrists and ankles. He tried yanking his wrists out of the restraints as Ted walked into the room "Patient CØ12Y, I'm glad to see you awake" Ted smiled "You surely scared everyone-" "Let me go!" Corey snapped as Ted shook his head a bit "Not until you're done with today's daily treatment" Ted stated. Corey looked around the room "Where's-" "The shadowed figure you keep seeing? over there" Ted nodded over to the other hospital bed in the room. Corey turned his head, eyes widening as he looked at the kid who laid unconscious on the other hospital bed "How interesting it is... he passed out the exact same time as you" Ted told Corey "The bond between you two is remarkable, reminds me of the same thing I saw about fourteen-fifteen years ago". Ted turned his head back to Corey "Be honest... how annoying was he? being one of the only 'monsters' you ever really saw?" Ted asked, moving over to Corey's head "Must be annoying, dealing with something that can't see you yet still follows you around twenty-four-seven" the doctor carefully put a needle into Corey's neck, right where the current bruise already was. "Be glad we could fix that problem for you" Ted told Corey with a horrid smile, plugging the cord end on the needle into a small battery "Don't worry, this is the same amount of electricity as two days ago" Ted said before turning on the battery. Corey yelled out in pain whilst the other 'kid' immediately woke up yet controlled their own screams of pain, tears rolling down their face. Ted turned off the battery as Corey's eyes glowed bright green along with the other kids, yet Corey's pain faded immediately "Huh, that's new-" Ted looked at the other kid, quickly picking up what's happening "You seriously taking all of his pain for him?" Ted laughed a bit before turning the battery back on "Let's see how long you can do that trick for" the doctor laughed as Corey yelled out in pain again whilst the other kid kept control of their own.
