Emmet Baker was everything you would expect of the next pack leader: kind, strong-willed, smart, and very responsible. Although his status was an omega, he was one of the most powerful members in the Enceladus pack. He had everything and some even argued that he was perfect... but that was just a simple façade he had fabricated. 

Emmet's older half-brother, Adam Clemens, believed that being pack leader was his birthright. Afterall, he was both older and an alpha. Taking this thought process, Adam spent his entire life bullying and using his alpha genetics to force the younger omega into handing over the life-changing position. 

However, Emmet's strong will refused let him cave... but this iron will didn't stop the bullying and terrorizing from leaving Emmet with emotional scars. Deep down he knew. Emmet knew that sacrificing his well-being was necessary. He knew that if he gave in, Adam would lead to the downfall of the pack. So he continued to stand strong... until one tragic evening. 

That night, under the influence of the full moon, Adam had snapped. Letting his rage fuel the monster beneath his skin, he physically attacked the young omega and left him for the dead. The attack completely tore through Emmet, leaving the defenseless omega shattered on the inside and out. He was so emotionally and physically broken that he was no longer the same person that he was before. Emmet had lost himself that night. He had lost his voice and his will to fight back. For the young omega, his whole world came crashing down around him. 

Emmet's parents, clueless to what had been happening between the brothers, couldn't figure out who had attacked him that night. After realizing that something wasn't right with their heir, they decide to send Emmet to a mental and emotional health institution, both hoping that Emmet will get better and still become the next pack leader- afterall, the family bloodline depended on it. 

It's at this institution that Emmet's story really begins... it's where love and friendship blossom and it's here that Emmet can finally find his voice.
