In the same morning, far away from the place that Yu Na was kept hidden, the guards that followed her last night were into a room, bowing to a person that couldn’t be seen.
‘We’ve failed to catch her in time, please, give us the chance to try again when the sun rises. We know this place better than her, we guarantee that we will finish the mission.’ spoke one of the guards, while his voice was trembling
‘Why do you think that you’ll be able to catch her now? You failed your only mission the moment that I gave you, so why should I pity you and give you another chance? You two aren’t the only ones that know this place so well and can accomplish my order.’ shouted the man with an imposing voice
The guards didn’t dare to say anything more to their superior. Suddenly, the man stood up and came to them, taking out his sword.
‘You thought that you could live freely after you failed to respect my order? What gave you this foolish idea that you can do that? You two need to pay for your sins, and repent for the next life that you’ll get.’ he said as he swung his sword, and the lifeless bodies fell to the ground
As the body fell to the ground, he threw the sword to the other side of the room and called out someone.
Back at Yu Na’s hiding place, she looked at him, at the man that saved her, then glanced around, looking at where she was. Her expression changed, and she felt uneasy in his presence. When she tried to move back, he grabbed her by the cheeks and smiled. His smile sent shivers down her spine, but she was unable to move, her wounds felt like they were burning.
'Don't you know that you must not hurry when you are hurt? Your wounds didn't heal overnight. So, what's the hurry?' pointed out Yeong-hwan at her wounds
Yu Na could feel his breath onto her body. Trying to hide her shivers, it seemed like the boy was quick to notice. In an instant, he stood up and got back to his table, where he began writing again.
'You have no reason to be scared of me as I have no intention to hurt you. It was foolish of me to try to change your destiny, but I wanted to see you live.' he said, not even glancing at her
Yu Na felt hopeless in this new world. The boy that was standing in front of her didn't seem like he was going to hurt her, but she was cautious. She put her head into her hands, trying to remember what had happened.
'I can't remember how I got into this problem, so I’m so sorry that I dragged you with me. I'm sorry for that. I'll repay your kindness.' whispered Yu Na with her trembling voice
Before she could get a reply from him, a loud sound was heard outside. The boy suddenly glanced at the windows, then he gestured for the girl to stay still.
'Don't move. Stay here, hidden. I'll see what's outside.' suggested the boy as he stood up
'Yeong-hwan! Get out right now!' someone shouted from outside.
As Yeong-hwan got out, he saw an old friend of his, but his attitude was raising questions for him. When that person tried to enter Yeong-hwan's house without permission, Yeong-hwan grabbed his arm and stopped him.
'I believe that our friendship does not go beyond the line where you can freely roam around my house without my permission' with an imposing voice said Yeong-hwan
'This problem is not a matter of friendship or not. I have my suspicion that you are purposely hiding someone from the eye of justice.'
'Oh, Mister Han, I believe you had enough time in our seven years of friendship to know that I have no intention to help someone.'
'That is right, but I still have to see for myself. So, please, get out of the way.'
And, as he said that, he pushed Yeong-hwan out of his way and got straight to his bedroom.
