Yeong-hwan followed Mr. Han as he entered the bedroom. He looked at Yu Na and his face became red from anger. Yu Na looked so scared, as her face was pale. Mr. Han turned around and shouted at Yeong-hwan.

‘What were you saying? That you weren’t hiding anyone? Dare to ask who that girl is from your bed?’

Yeong-hwan stayed calm as he was being yelled at. He glanced at Yu Na and assured her that he had the situation under control.

‘Mr. Han, I think you’re crossing the limit and making the wrong assumption. You never stated to me what the problem was, so how can I know if I did something wrong when I don’t even have a clue about what is happening.’

Mr. Han pointed his trembling hands to Yu Na. He seemed shaken off by something that only he knew.

‘You didn’t hear?! They said that someone tried to kill the king or something and that the ones who were responsible for the attempt ran into the forest and split! We can’t trust any outsider at this moment! And look at her! She’s covered in wounds, she clearly fought with someone!’ 

Yeong-hwan laughed at Mr. Han’s words and approached Yu Na. While taking her hand into his hand, he smiled gently.

‘I’ve told you when we met last time that I’ll present to you someone precious to me. She is my lover, the one that I always find my way to. Didn’t I tell you some time ago that I’ve found my reason to keep fighting for this life?’

His smile seemed genuine and that made Mr. Han trust his friend’s words. Yu Na didn’t dare to say any words as she didn’t want to ruin what Yeong-hwan managed to do. Mr. Han backed off after he gently bowed to the girl.

‘My mistake, young lady. I didn’t think that Yeong-hwan had someone dear to him, I’ll go, it seemed like I distgrupted you two.’ he said pointing out that Yu Na wore Yeong-hwan’s clothes

As Mr. Han left, Yeong-hwan looked out of the window to make sure he left for sure. After that, his smile vanished off his face, having a blank expression.

‘I’m sorry you had to lie because of me. I’ll sort things out and I’ll leave. I’ve made enough problems for you.’ whispered Yu Na, as if she was fearing to be heard

‘You don’t need to leave. I want to understand what happened to you that night. I may have lied about our relationship, but all that I said wasn’t a lie. After I found you, the moment our eyes met, I saw something that made me remember something I long forgotten. I feel like you are one of the reasons why I can’t seem to find the answer that I’m looking for.’

‘If that’s the case, if I’m not a burden to you, then I’ll make sure to find out the answers. Why is it you that saved me, why is it this place that I was brought to and what had happened to get to this point. I’ll find answers for all of those, and if in any way I can help you, I will.’ replied Yu Na with a spark in her eyes, as if she had found hope once again

Yeong-hwan stared at her, as he had a sad expression on his face. It seemed like a lot had happened to him, yet he wasn’t ready to say.

‘If what Mr. Han said is true, then we need to take care and hide you well. The king is ruthless and if people think you may be a part of those who tried to kill him, you’ll be put in prison. You don’t remember what happened last night, but can you please tell me something about you? To have a starting point in this mission that we have to achieve.’

‘Yes, that I can say. I was born 23 years ago, and my parents named me Yu Na. I may not be the most blessed person and I did lose a lot in order to achieve what I wanted, but I lived a happy life. I’ve tried my best to create the world that I wished to live in, but… everything slipped through my fingers that night… somehow I’ve lost what I was trying to achieve.’ said Yu Na while tears were seen into her eyes

Yeong-hwan put his hand on her cheek.

‘You’ll find the path that you need to follow in order to achieve what you wished for, don’t cry. It’s the beginning that is the hardest, but once you start walking again into that direction, you’ll find your way out.’ he said with a calming voice. ‘I’m 25, yet I remember feeling like you, as I felt like I’ve lost my path some time ago. I’m a failed writer that seemed to be forgotten from everyone’s mind. But I still write, I still try, I’m trying day by day and soon, I’ll find the answer that I’m looking for. So, stay by my side. I’ll protect you until you can protect yourself again.’
