Angelina sat on the hospital bed, thinking about what Tom had told her the day before ..."Angelina, trust me- Dianne's the only person in here we can trust". Angelina raised a brow "How would you-" "She's only a children's therapist, she hasn't been told the actual reason why we're all here-"... after returning back to her hospital room yesterday, Angelina had thought about that and Tom. Tom is known as Patient TØM45 and by far seems like he's the oldest kid locked up here but Tom's knowledge on Dianne bothered Angelina a bit. When Angelina met Dianne, all she was told was that she was a doctor and nothing else, so how did Tom know she was a children's therapist without Dianne telling him? 'Unless she did tell him' Angelina thought 'Possibly to calm him down or get him to trust her' a voice in her head suggested... but there was really only one way to tell. Angelina quickly rushed over to a corner of the room that was under a camera she had found in the room yesterday. The girl crouched down to ensure the camera diffidently couldn't see her before using her 'acting skills', screaming as she pretended to hold her head and back up into the wall as much as she could. Not soon after, two soldiers rushed into the room "What the-" "Get Thompson, now" one harshly whispered to the other before pushing them in a direction down the hallway. The soldier that stayed carefully took a step into the room, looking around yet couldn't see anything. He grabbed out a small radio "Code E, I repeat- Code E in Block A of patient ward, over" "Copy that" the radio then went dead as the other soldier rushed back into the room along with Dianne following close behind him "What happened?" the woman asked, looking at Angelina in the corner. "Must've saw something, think it's gone now" the soldier with the radio stated before turning to Dianne "Do your job and deal with it" he quietly snapped before him and the other soldier walked back out of the room whilst Dianne carefully walked over to Angelina and bent down.
"Angelina? are you alright-" "Are they actually gone?" the girl whispered, keeping her head down as Dianne raised a brow "Uh yes-" "Tom said I can trust you" Angelina interrupted lifting her head up a bit to look at the woman, seriousness in her eyes "Can I trust you?" she questioned Dianne. Dianne glanced at the camera above them before looking back at the girl "You faked it-" "Can I trust you, Dianne?" Angelina quietly yet harshly repeated her question, slight desperateness hanging of her voice. Dianne closed her eyes tightly, signing "I'm sorry, Angelina..." she got up and walked out of the room, closing and locking the door behind herself leaving the girl alone in the corner who was now questioning whether or not she could trust her new 'friend'.
8:30am
Corey's eyes painfully opened as he laid on the hospital bed of his room. He felt so tired, he would even welcome death with open arms just to have at least a little sleep... yet even that seemed impossible for him. Corey slowly sat up, wincing a bit as he rubbed the back of his neck before freezing a bit... he remembers. What had happened after he fainted yesterday. Corey slowly rushed off his bed, stumbling a bit on his feet as he walked over to the small mirror on the wall. He looked at his reflection with a pained face, hissing a bit as he lightly ran a finger over the now darkened bruise on the left side of his neck. Touching it himself just reminded him the horrid painful electricity he was exposed to for hours into the dead night... the doctor only stopped due to needing his own sleep for the next day.
Corey's eyes widened before tightly closing, holding his head ...eye sight completely removed yet you could still tell it was a dark room... a small cold cell filled with the sound of someone desperately trying to get out of the chains that bounded them to the wall leaning against their back, tears running down their face... to Corey, that memory doesn't exist for him... it's not his memory. For one, he's not blind and never had any eye problems, and secondly, he may have been in a police cell a couple times in the past, but never had he experienced being chained up to a wall with little room to move in... but also the emotions the person was feeling. They felt scared- terrified, as if this had happened to them before... but there was also a small amount of relief as they cried. ...Corey turned his head, eyes widening as he looked at the kid who laid unconscious on the other hospital bed... that kid that laid beside him yesterday ..."How interesting it is... he passed out the exact same time as you" Ted told Corey "The bond between you two is remarkable, reminds me of the same thing I saw about fourteen-fifteen years ago"... that memory belongs to them, it's what they're currently experiencing now. ...Corey's pain faded immediately "Huh, that's new-" Ted looked at the other kid, quickly picking up what's happening "You seriously taking all of his pain for him?" Ted laughed a bit before turning the battery back on "Let's see how long you can do that trick for"... their relief, it was for Corey's slight safety, thankful that they were able to take away as much pain as they could handle.
'Our bond...' Corey thought 'What the hell is that bond?' even his own questions confused him yet that didn't stop him from rushing to the door, falling to the ground just beside it. He used his left hand to hold himself up as he used his right arm to bang on the door "Hey!" Corey yelled through the door as loud as he could "Let me out! we don't belong here!" he continued to yell, voice slowly killing itself. Then he heard it... footsteps. Corey immediately backed away from the door as it opened, revealing two soldiers "Eager for our next treatment, are we?" one smirked as Corey glared at them before the soldiers grabbed him by his arms, pulled him up to his feet and dragged him out of the room and down the corridor as the boy yelled.
Angelina got up, raising a brow at the familiar yelling she could hear coming down the corridor, the yelling accompanied by the loud footsteps of soldiers. She hesitantly rushed over to the locked door of her room, standing on her toes as she looked through the door's small square widow into the corridor outside. "Let go of me!" Angelina's eyes widened as Corey yelled, struggling in the soldiers' arms as he was dragged pass Angelina's hospital room "Corey!" the girl yelled, getting her friend's attention "Angelina- let go!" he snapped at the soldiers, anger and worry in his voice and eyes as they dragged him out of sight. "Corey!" Angelina banged on the door before breaking the window's glass with her right elbow, accidentally cutting her arm on the glass "Fuck" she swore under her breath as blood ran down her arm. Angelina then banged on the door again, swearing and calling out to her friend until hearing soldiers rushing to her room. She immediately picked up a couple shards of the broken glass, holding the biggest two shards in either hand, a bit of her dark red blood dripping down her hands as they opened the door to her room. The first person through the door was a doctor that Angelina hadn't met yet... he unfortunately caught the first blow from Angelina after she swung the glass in her right hand... the glass was sharp, too sharp, sharp enough to cut right through the shirt, coat and skin of the doctor. He fell to the ground with a large gash in his chest as a soldier rushed through the door, ending up having the shard in the girl's left hand cut his own hand, along getting his face with the glass shard in her right hand. Before she could do any ore damage, another soldier rushed into the room and hit Angelina over the head with the blunt end of his gun, knocking her out.
The two soldiers dragged Corey into the surgical ward, into a large operating room "Patient CØ12Y! back so soon?~" Ted smirked, watching the soldiers strap Corey to the bed "I was gonna give you today to recover yesterday's treatment but the Head Doctor suggested otherwise" Ted explained, grabbing out the needle used for yesterday's 'shock' treatment. Corey desperately looked around the room, finding the shadowed kid with their wrists and ankles as they sat on the ground, tiredly leaning against the wall behind them "Let them go" Corey snapped, glaring up at Ted. "Seriously? you want us to 'free' that miserable piece of shit?" Ted questioned Corey, putting the needle into the boy's neck "That kid has been depressed ever since he became your shadow" Ted whispered, connecting the needle to the battery close by. "An ego and the very thing that's shaped your personality-" Ted harshly turned Corey's head towards the kid "You really want me to save a blind ass demon?" Ted asked as Corey looked at the shadowed kid, watching them slowly lift their head up a bit, enough for the boy to see their white eyes. "I'd hate to be the one to break the news to you, but wherever you go... they go... that includes suffering the same torture" without warning, Ted turned on the battery, both boy and shadowed kid yelled in pain as Ted turned up the voltage... that was until the unknown kid went silent. Ted raised a brow before the shadowed kid snapped their head up, eyes flickering red as he ripped his wrists and ankles out of the chains, bones riddled with pain as they stood up "Ḍ̵̋ō̸̟ṉ̵̚'t y̸̝̆o̷̮͑u̵̢͌ ̸̙͠d̸̨͛ȁ̵̤r̴̗̔e̵̦͛ ̸̦̋ṭ̶̊o̵̡̐u̷͉̐c̸̦̕ḧ̷̜́ ̵͉̈́ḧ̷̦i̸͉͂m̵̡̆" they hissed yet a nurse rushed over to Ted and Corey, turning off the battery and grabbed out a needle, injecting something into Corey's arm. The serum knocked out Corey, the shadowed kid fell to the ground as well, completely knocked out cold.
"Why did you do that?!" Ted snapped at the nurse "It broke out of its chains" she snapped back "I'm sorry I stopped one of the most dangerous demons to ever live from ripping your guts out" she continued, glaring at Ted "I believe the words you're struggling to find are 'thank you'... for keeping your pathetic ass alive". She pushed past Ted, looking over at the soldiers "Take the demon back to containment, then bring the kid back to his room- keep both restrained" she ordered, both soldiers following the command as she turned her head back to Ted "Keep the kids alive, Ted... or else Grey Leader will be taking your fucking head" she warned before walking out of the room.
