‘You’ve said you’ve experienced feeling like you’ve lost your path, what can I do, how can I manage to find my way like you did?’ asked with a soft voice Yu Na
‘I just kept going, day and night.’ spoke Yeong-hwan. ‘But why are you asking this? Did you remember something from what happened last night?’
Yu Na embraced her legs as she let out a soft sight.
‘No, there’s just shattered pieces of moments. There’s nothing that I remember that could help us out.’ Then she stopped, as if she remembered something. ‘ Have you heard anything related to what that friend of yours said in the morning?’
‘Nothing that you have to worry about. They probably don’t know who tried to start that attack, I’m sure it will be forgotten. But until we get a clearer view about the situation, I advise you to stay hidden.’
‘Is the king really that bad? That people found the need to dethrone him?’ asked Yu Na out of curiosity
‘I don’t have a clear answer for this as I have never seen the king, and in a place like this, that is far from the Palace’s eyes, we really don’t know his true intentions. So I won’t make an assumption based on the words of others. What I truly wish is to never meet him. I'll be happy if I get to live in peace.’
‘I like the fact that you don’t judge someone until you get to make an opinion about them by yourself. You truly are a kind person, but I wonder--’ yet Yu Na stopped talking after she looked at Yeong-hwan’s expression
Then, Yeong-hwan’s face became pale, as white as the snow. He remembered a line from the announcement that he didn’t read carefully.
‘They… said they will search each house.’ he talked to himself as he stood up quickly
‘Where are you going?!’ questioned the girl as the boy was leaving the room in a hurry
‘I need to check something out. Please, don’t leave the house. If something happens, try to hide. I’ll be back soon to you, I just have to check--’ but he didn’t got to finish as he hear a loud sound from the distance
Yeong-hwan vanished from the room. That made Yu Na question his action. He was hiding something. She wondered to herself, were all those strange behaviors of his related to the locked room?
Soon, a loud thunder was heard from outside. It looked like it started to rain heavily, and the dark scenery of the night was occasionally lit up by the lightning.
‘Where did he have to go in such bad weather?’ whispered to herself Yu Na
The wind outside was loud, it felt as if something bad was about to happen. Yu Na felt shivers down her spine, but tried to comfort herself that it was just a passing rain and the weather should clear soon. But she was wrong. And then, the silence of the house was broken by a loud shatter, as if a vase just broke. That seemed to scare Yu Na, as she called Yeong-hwan’s name with a trembling voice, yet no one responded.
