“I’ve seen one of these before.” Green Mf said, approaching the course. There seemed to be an endless pit below the platforms, and some platforms had buttons. The first platforms were missing on the other side.
“How do we play?” *insert name* asked, lining up with the row that didn’t have platforms.
“I will jump across these platforms and push the button. That should make your platforms appear.” Green Mf, said, looking across at her. “Ready?”
*insert name* nodded.
Green Mf was easily able to step on the platform, however it was still a bit scary. He really didn’t want to fall. He stepped on the next one, which was even worse. He started sweating, even though it was no problem, and felt uneasiness washing over him. His breathing started to quicken.
“What’s taking you so long?” *insert name* asked, looking over at him and noticing his fearful state. “Hey!” Green Mf looked over at *insert name*. “It’s easy, you can do it.” *insert name* said, acting like it was no big deal and that he was overreacting, but there was a reassuring undertone.
Green Mf took a breath and quickly stepped over, making it to the platform with a button. Green Mf let out a sigh of relief, only to realize that there was a large empty space between him and the next button. He sighed.
He pressed the button with his foot, and *insert name*’s platforms appeared. She jumped across the first gap, and the second, but stumbled on the final one. Green Mf sucked in a breath, but *insert name* didn’t seem to care that much and quickly regained balance. Really, did she have no sense of self preservation?
After a while, they started having fun and forgot about the looming void beneath them. It was a rather long obstacle course, not like either of them minded. Green Mf’s anxieties faded as he saw *insert name*’s joy and her reassuring smile. She had that sort of charm. *insert name* was having the time of her life. She loved adventure, and despite her original reaction, she had warmed up to it now. It always started that way, but then *insert name* lost herself in the fun. Sure the adventure got less fun when all your friends died, but hey, she could make new friends. They could never be replaced though. Never. And it wasn’t as easy to get over it as *insert name* made it sound.
Enough about that. *insert name* hopped over the last gap and pressed the button that awaited, giving Green Mf a chance to hop over himself. They spotted two buttons that corresponded to the paths.
“I think we should press those.” *insert name* said. “You don’t say?” Green Mf replied, but it was no longer condescending. It was more like a playful tug.
“Yes I do say.” *insert name* said. They both stepped up to the buttons and pressed them at the same time, opening the door for them to go through.
“Next challenge here we come!” *insert name* shouted enthusiastically. Green Mf followed close behind, a faint smile on his face.
Maybe *insert name* was SO bad.
