"You… aren't allergic to anything are you?"

The sight of Thana holding a knife and smiling at him made him uneasy so he unconsciously put up his guard. 

"N-no…"

He let down his guard after he realized she meant no harm. 

'I'm immune to countless poisons so I shouldn't be allergic to anything right?'

While Blade pondered over that, Thana began to chop the vegetables and throw them into a hot pot of broth. She then put the browned meat into the pot. The aromatic scent of the soup filled the room and Blade's stomach growls.

"Ah…"

He looked at Thana and she smiled. Blade's face flushed a bit from embarrassment and lost his train of thought. 

"Dinner will be ready soon."

Blade made his way to the table as he scratched the back of his head. He sat down and had what may be his last peaceful meal for a while.

After his meal, Blade tried to help clean up but Thana stopped him.

"You should wash up. I can take care of this."

Blade nodded and headed to the bathroom. He took off his clothes and put them aside. With his calloused hand, Blade grabbed one of the wooden buckets and dumped the water above his head. Water streamed down his black and white hair and down his body. 

He let out a sigh and grabbed a towel on the shelves beside him. Blade dried his hair and wiped down his body. He puts his clothes back on and exits the bathroom. 

"Oh! You're done!" 

Thana was standing by the couch with a pillow in her hands. She put the pillow down onto the couch.

"Let me know if you need anything else. I'll be in that room"

Thana pointed at the door beside the bathroom. Blade nodded and laid down on the couch. Thana smiled and leaves Blade alone in the room. 

The moonlight fell onto Blade's face, giving him a sense of peace. His eyes slowly close and he begins to drift into a slumber. 

'It should be fine to rest a little…'
