"Fire."

Instead of the sound of gunshot filling our eardrums, it was the sound of a man screaming in pain and horror.

"GAHHHHH!"

Everyone turned to look at the source of the screaming. The agent that had been holding a gun at Thana's head had their arm frozen in ice. Blade's emotion was all over the place, causing his newly found powers to go berserk. Blade's breathing got heavier and faster. The frost got heavier and ice began to cover everything in the alleyway.

"That's enough! You! Report back and bring that girl there too." 

The leader commanded the agent with the frozen hand. They nodded and left as quickly as they appeared. Then, the agent in charge pointed.

"Damage that THING enough until it collapses! Do whatever necessary!"

The agent yelled out orders and the other two charged towards Blade with weapons in their hands. They fired bullets that were aimed at Blade's arms and legs. Ice began to form around Blade, creating a barrier around him. His ice was so thick that the bullets barely pierced the ice.

Blade grabbed his head. He felt dizzy and could not differentiate whether everything was a dream or reality. An image of Thana being held at gunpoint flashed through Blade's mind. At that moment, ice spikes came out of the ground and pierced the two agents that were attacking him. The clear ice was dyed red from the blood. 

*bleurgh*

The pierced agents spat out blood and their eyes rolled up until you could only see the whites of their eyes. The ice barrier around Blade shatters and he walked towards the agent that was giving out orders. As he stepped on the bloodstained pavement, Blade took out the dagger that was underneath his cloak. They had their pistol aimed at Blade but fell after witnessing the deaths of their colleagues.

"T-They didn't tell us it knew how to control its powers!!" 

"…I told you to listen to me while I was being nice."

With the dagger in his hand, he slashed the agent's neck. Blood squirted out of the wound and landed on Blade's face and cloak. He looked around in his dreamlike state, checking if there were any more dangers near him. When he confirmed his safety, Blade collapses and passes out.
