Alfred threw himself down and slid down the roof to catch Rigby's hand just before it slipped off the edge. At the last second, Alfred grabbed onto the gutter and felt his stomach lurch as he felt gravity try to pull them down. He quickly pulled Rigby up by his hand so he could wrap his arm around his waist and secure him better in his arm against his side. 

"I got you Rigs. I got you. your ok." Alfred said trying to hide the panic in fear in his voice as he tried to reassure Rigby they were fine.

Alfred slowly pulled himself back up onto the roof and quickly cocooned Rigby in his embrace. 

"Are you alright?" Alfred frantically asked as checked him for any injuries. 

God, what was he doing? His brain was running faster than he could register any thought. The only thing that mattered at the moment was Rigby. That was the only thing that made sense right now, and god, he was holding onto it like his life depended on it. everything depended on Rigby.

"I-I-I'm fine. Rigby said, still visibly shaking from the shock. 

Alfred let out a shaky sigh of relief as he laid his head against Rigby's shoulder and pulled his closer. He was so scared he was going to lose him. However now he had a very important question to ask himself. Did he like Rigby? He had never thought himself to be gay, but in all honesty, when he looked back at himself he could see the signs. maybe, just maybe he really was gay. He slowly pulled back, there was only one way to find out.

"Rigby I..." Alfred began as Rigby quickly cut him off and pulled him into a kiss.

Alfred gasped, stunned by the kiss then quickly melted into it. He gently placed his hand against Rigby's waist as he reveled in the pleasure of the kiss. No kiss from anyone else had ever felt this good. It was like fireworks were going off in his head like his veins were filled with electricity and warmth. Then everything clicked into place

"Damn..." Alfred whispered, still stunned as Rigby pulled away from the kiss.

"I-I-I'M SORRY! I-I-I didn't mean...!" Rigby gasped as he began to panic again. 

Alfred quickly pulled him into another kiss quickly silencing his panic and shocking him into silence. 

"let me speak before you panic again," Alfred whispered as he pulled away breaking the kiss.

"I didn't say damn because it was bad, or you did something wrong. I said damn because you made me realize something today." Alfred whispered as he watched Rigby's wide dark brown eyes that were swimming with confusion.

"W-what did I make you realize?" Rigby asked as Alfred smiled at him.

"When I saw you falling off the roof all I could think about was what would happen if you got hurt or worse. I realized I'd never been able to forgive myself if anything happened to you. It made me realize how much I care for you and how much I like you." Alfred whispered as Rigby's face turned bright red even in the dark.

"I-I-I never thought I could be gay. m-my parents have drilled into me over the years that I'm supposed to marry a woman and be super successful. All my life I've known that's not what I wanted. B-b-but Rigby when you kissed me. It was like everything clicked into place, the piece I was missing before finally found and completed. It made me realize that what I want more than anything is you." Alfred said as he felt his own face turn bright red. 

It felt like a weight had been lifted off his chest to finally admit it. He knew he had been different for as long as he could remember, but he could never figure out why until now. The reason he didn't like girls, the reason women weren't appealing to him, the reason he thought Rigby was cute, the reason he had the urge to kiss and spoil him, wasn't because they were friends or he just hadn't found the right girl yet, but because he was gay. He always had been.

"D-do you mean it?" Rigby asked tears of joy filling his eyes.

"More than anything I've ever meant in my entire life. Rigby Redford O'Connor, I love you." Alfred said as he lifted Rigby's chin so they were staring into each other's eyes, then leaned in and kiss him again.

"Y-you have no idea how long I've imagined hearing those words come from your lips. This isn't exactly how I imagined it." Rigby laughed as tears flowed down his cheeks and he pulled away from the kiss. 

"Don't worry I'll say it plenty of times, each one with as much meaning in it as the first," Alfred said as he gently whipped Rigby's tears away.

"So we're dating now? Like officially Boyfriends?" Rigby said the words sounding foreign to them both but also pleasant. 

"If that's what you wish, or if you'd rather skip straight to marriage I think I can find some rings." Alfred laughed.

"Boyfriends, for now, let's take it slow Cassanova." Rigby laughed with him.

Alfred felt his heart swell with pride. Boyfriends. Rigby was finally his, all he wanted to do was smother him with kisses and love. 

"I love you, Alfred Stefen Reynold's." Rigby giggled as he kissed him again.

"When did I ever tell you my middle name?" Alfred asked as he pulled away from the kiss.

"Andra told me." Rigby laughed as Alfred shook his head. 

Of course, his sister had sold him out. This was her devious plan all along. He was now convinced she was meddling in this from the start. 

"Come on, let's get back inside. We still got pizza and some movies to watch Duckling." Alfred said as he carefully helped Rigby back into the house.

"Duckling?" Rigby chuckled questioning the new pet name he was just given.

"Yep, it's fitting. You remind me of a cute fluffy yellow duckling. your cute, your hair's fluffy and your personality remind's me of the color yellow." Alfred said as Rigby blushed and crossed his arms. 

"W-well fine then, beanie bear," Rigby said as Alfred smiled at him.

"Beanie bear?" Alfred chuckled questioning his new nickname as well. "What's the reasoning behind that one?"

"w-w-well you're big and cuddly like a giant teddy bear, and that's the pet name I wanna give you," Rigby said as Alfred gently moved a strand of hair out of Rigby's face.

"If it's from you, I'll adore it no matter what the reason," Alfred said as Rigby somehow got even more flustered.

Alfred felt his heart leap with joy. He could now shamelessly tease Rigby as much as he wanted. Just the thought of that brought a smile to his lips. He was so adorable and now he was his, and it felt so damn good. 

"now let's finish that movie," Alfred said as he grabbed Rigby's hand and led him to the living room.

Tonight was going even better than he had ever hoped. Not only was he now going to cuddle and watch movies with his new boyfriend, but he finally felt whole. whatever was missing before was now there. He knew one thing for sure, he was never going to let it go.
