5 seconds later the view of Anos was clear again.It was that moment when he saw Sofia lying in a rock covered with blood all around her body and the rescue team every member of the rescue team was slaughtered without any mercy.

Anos-It was not a very long time but within 5 seconds everything was gone the demon the rescue team Hiro everything was gone

.The captain was right if we had retreated we may all have survived. No it's not the time to doubt the decision I must save Sofia at all cost. If something happens to Sofia I can't loose one more friend.I have already lost Hiro.He is gone.

After waiting for few more seconds went to the place where Sofia was lying flat.He checked Sofia's injuries and returned back to the magic school.After reaching school he immediately took her to the hospital located inside the school campus.Her injuries were severe but they were not fatal so the doctor's treated her but her injuries were not healed completely.Meanwhile Anos was made to report everything that happened during the rescue operation.After 2 days Anos was able to come back to his dorm.On his way to his room Anos saw Sofia walking towards him from a far distance.No expression can be seen in her face, eyes covered by her gunmetal gray hair and the cheerful and energetic Sofia was nowhere to be seen.As they got close to each other he saw her injuries which were still visible as they were not completely healed,her face seemed paler than before,her gleaming teal eyes seemed hollow,she seemed completely lost.On getting more closer to each other Anos tried to start a conversation with Sofia.

Anos-Sofia.Your injuries are not yet healed I know you are sad but still you should return back to your room and take some rest.

Sofia-Rest? How can I rest? Hiro is gone forever the very first friend I made is gone. Don't you feel anything.He was your friends isn't it.Didn't he save your life? Didn't he save all your lives? What were you doing? Aren't you a really strong boy? Didn't you have the strength even to help him when he was facing the demon alone? Couldn't you have helped me when I was fighting the demon alone to save him? So many questions .Do you even feel something for Hiro.Your face doesn't show any signs of loss. You didn't feel anything even when your friend is gone. If you were that strong then why didn't you come to the hospital to give some support when I needed the most?

Each and every question hit Anos badly.He was frozen he felt the burden of all her questions not a single word came out of his mouth.He was completely stunned by the facts that Sofia presented before him.Anos(Adrenex) had lost countless companions when he was the commander of the norther border but the death of Hiro left the deepest pain in his heart.He seemed calm from the outside but he was torn down from the inside still he was doing his best to keep up a brave side so that Sofia have atleast one shoulder to lean on when she was on a brink of falling into despair and depression.

Anos-I know how you are feeling Sofia.I am feeling sad too. I feel ashamed that I couldn't do anything to protect Hiro I am sorry Sofia but you should keep yourself intact Hiro would never want his friend to in such solemn state.

Sofia-Hiro is gone don't you realise?

Anos-No Hiro will always live in our heart and in our memories.

Sofia didn't give any response instead tears rolled out of her eyes.For Anos everydrop of tears felt like sharp arrows piercing through his heart.The guilt of not being able to save Hiro were tearing both Sofia and Anos apart.Anos didn't stop Sofia instead he gave her a hug and let her cry for sometime.Half an hour later Sofia had finally calm down.She was not in her best conditions so she went to sleep immediately after calming down.Anos took her back to her room and placed her in her bed and returned back to his room.On his way back he saw some students running,some of them were playing while a few were gossiping about something, some of them practicing magic and some of them were practicing combat using mele weapons.The students seemed cheerful many of them were not affected by the fact that a student of their school died in the battle against a demon.Well it was expected from the nobles.They don't care about the commoners,for them the commoners were tools that can be sacrificed for getting closer to their greater goal.The students of Chivoiry class were sad for Hiro.He was a hero for them as well as me,the hero who sacrificed himself to protect lives of other people.Not everyone can do this.
