My name is Emery Hubbard, and I'm a wizard.. or at least I'm GOING to be one. Eventually. Dad says it'll take a long time before I even get to ametuer ranking in the wizard world because my magic developed later then everybody else, and so they're ahead.. but I'll prove him wrong. Soon I'll be so good at magic and casting super complex spells that I'll have my own portrait in the hall of wizards, and even the pros will admire me!
....Butttt for now I had better just stick to studying these books from the library, as it's "for the best".
Because I received my magic later then everybody else my age, whilst everybody else was able to go off casting spells I was told that until my body had got used to my magic, which would take at least a year, I had to stick to reading books about the wonderous spells instead of actually casting them.
I was gutted.
And still am gutted to be really honest, I mean, put yourself in my shoes: after a year of taunting and unnecessary name calling, you wake up one day to find the gods have finally took pity on your poor, poor soul, and had given you the magic you were missing to make you finally fit in to society, and as all your peers began receiving their magical staffs, and their magic license, you get told because of the rules, you would have to wait one whole year more then everybody else to use the powers you had to wait even longer than everybody else to receive. So unfair, right?
But enough of me, let's get back to what I was doing in the first place.. what was it again? Aha. That was it.
Finding and stealing that book of spells Dad had. I just want to practice. And come on, what damage could just one spell do anyways?
Planet Vox is a beautiful place, home to many creatures alike and not alike, from werewolves to vampires, and centaurs to unicorns. These creatures live harmoniously, together.
But planet Vox was not always like this, no. Over 10,000 years ago, Vox was home to another species of creatures, this species being what you and me are today…
Humans.
After the great betrayal, the humans were forced to leave Vox, and find a new planet.. or face immediate divine punishment, the extermination of their kind.
Since that day, no human has ever stepped foot on Vox again, and the other habitants made it a rule to never speak of the humans again. But soon all of that would change, and it would start with a young wizard, his name being Emery Hubbard.
