After countless months of therapy, I was back to myself. I still haven't remembered anything. I just believed everything that Jane said. I'm a 25 year old man, who graduated from a rich college. It could all be lies, but still.
I was discharged.
The town I was in looked way to, perfect. Box-shaped houses, with picket fences. It made me want to puke, I had no idea why.
I decided to move in with Jane, even though I didn't want to. I had to get my life together, again.
Jane's house was perfect like the rest... on the exterior. The inside was abnormally clean, except one room. Her bedroom was extremely cluttered. Clothes stacked up to her window, but they were folded. Some of the clothes were mine, some were mens clothes. I asked her for an explanation, she just said she had no space for them. It was honestly hard to believe.
After a few weeks of just relaxing in Jane's house, I decided to go out on the town. There were a couple shops here and there, a hill with a large tree, and two neighborhoods. The population was obviously low. I estimate that there were between 200-300 people living here. It was called Warnerlands. The founder of the town was Alexander Warner, an abolitionist. He decided to build up the town just for slaves to hide in. It wasn't in the middle of nowhere, or on the outskirts of a city. It was just there. Unfortunately disaster struck when hundreds of slave owners raided the town. A few slaves escaped to safety but everyone was gone. The town was in shambles. Many years later it became a backpacking town, that has hiking trails all over. Everyone knows everyone and its pretty peaceful.
After gathering this information I decided to go back to Jane's home. On the way to her house I saw the hill. I saw it there ever since I moved in with Jane, but it was different. There was a little tower in the hill, which would be impossible to finish in a span of five hours. I decided to visit it.
There's a library at the top of the hill. Nobody knows where it came from. One day it just appeared. It only takes dated books. No recent books ever entered that library.
There was only one librarian, who never spoke.
