Chapter 1: After 5 Clash: The Maxim Sisters Strike
“Tag! You’re it!”
“I’m a dragon! RAWRL!!!”
A young blonde girl chases after her friend outside a luxurious manor. A beautiful lush garden surrounds them.
“I’ll get you RAN!”
She continues to give chase across the yard. Lashing out the claws on her little fingers, her mouth was wide open and ready to chomp down on her victim.
“You’ll never catch me….Cassandra.”
The blonde immediately fell over on her face. A sour look was left on her.
“I TOLD YOU! MY NAME IS DRASANDRA!”
"Sorry… it seems like I messed up again."
A brief moment later…
"If only I could just remember. I can't shake this habit." Ran muttered. "Can I call you "Sandra" instead? Your name is strange, to be honest."
"Who in their right mind would name you Ran? It's past tense for the word run." She poked back.
Drasandra sips a juice carton as Ran lowers her head in the background.
“Tomorrow's August 24th, our first day of kindergarten. So let's hope we make plenty of new friends. And by the way, happy birthday, Drasandra!"
Ran pulls out a little present from her pocket.
“What’s this?”
She opens the box revealing a keychain.
“That’s Mystic Maki!”
“Huh?”
Drasandra had a dumbfounded look, as Ran explained.
“She’s all about finding one’s voice and friendship. She strikes down evil with her treble maker when things get tough. It’s a cool show. You should watch it!”
"Okay…"
As Drasandra holds the keychain up in the air, Ran proceeds to strike a pose with her own keychain.
“Now we can vanquish evil together!”
The girls continue to play for the remainder of the day. Then, as the sun sets, the girls hold their keys up high.
"This will be the symbol of our friendship. An everlasting bond to remember each other by. No matter how far apart we are, we'll always be best friends," Ran smiled.
