*insert name* watched That One Guy pace nervously around the alleyway. “I’m not gay! No homo! None! Nada!” He kept repeating to himself over and over. *insert name* happened to catch him in the middle of a really blushy time. She was just watching from their shared dumpster. He was a mess.
“Face it man. You have a massive crush. You should ask whoever it is out.” *insert name* said. That One Guy turned to face her with a crazed look in his eyes. “I can’t just ask him out!” That One Guy exclaimed, throwing his hands out. “Well who is it?” *insert name* asked. That One Guy swallowed. “Uhm…Green Mf…” *insert name* gaped.
“Oh I’m so sorry.”
That One Guy picked up a random piece of litter and threw it at her. She laughed. “Oh come on! He’s perfect. He’s so nerdy and sly, and his little stims are so cute! Oh, and eyes! It’s like they pierce into your soul and can just read. He’s so smart, but kind if you really know him. He works so hard and he’s so confident! He-”
*insert name* just tuned him out after that. He went on for a good ten minutes on why Green Mf was perfect, *insert name* didn’t understand a word of it. “Yeah dude, you need to ask him out.”
And so that's how That One Guy ended up outside of Green Mf’s house, nervously messing with his hands, about to knock on the pure chaos that was his house.
He knocked, and Green Mf opened the door. The Green man himself, standing there with a tired expression. “Ummm, hey Green Mf! Wanna uhm, well ould you like to, uhm, well-” That One Guy stuttered, Green Mf stared into the distance, barely listening. That One Guy inhaled. “Would you like to go on a date with me!?” He shouted quickly. Green Mf blinked, his face suddenly turned very red. “A…date? Did I hear that right?”
“Uhm, yes?” That One Guy replied, shrugging his shoulders. Green MF nodded awkwardly. They avoided eye contact. “I didn’t realize…uhm..oh…” Green Mf muttered. He scratched his arm nervously. “Yeah…You coming?”
Green Mf blinked, face still tomato red. “Uh huh…”
And so they went to the coffee shop. They got some coffee and macaroons. They sat at a booth in the corner.
That One Guy noticed Green Mf had not been enjoying himself. Maybe something was wrong. “Hey uh, are you..okay?” It was then That One Guy noticed the startling eyebags he had, and the sheer soullessness in his eyes. “I’m fine.” Green Mf replied. That One Guy realized he was not fine. He looked like he was about to pass out.
That One Guy reached out for his hand, and took it. “It’s gonna be okay.” That One Guy said, and smiled at him. Green Mf choked back a sob. “I think I need to go home.” That One Guy pulled his hand away. “Okay.”
They walked home in silence. That One Guy walked Green Mf to the door, but when he turned to leave he felt a hand grasp his hand. “Hey, can you, ehm, stay for a while. I don’t know…if I’ll be alright-”
That One Guy silenced him with a hug. “Of course.”
They hung out together for a while. They ate soup, cuddled, and all around just chilled out.
“What had you so upset today?” That One Guy asked as he was leaving. “Just…felt a bit dumb after the whole puzzle thing I told you about.” Green Mf laughed nervously. “Well, you aren’t, so, take that.” They laughed together.
“Hey, can you do me a favor?” Green Mf asked. “Sure!” That One Guy replied.
“Call me Jack, will you? I think it fits much better.” That One guy was taken aback, but he agreed. “I will.”
“Thank you.” Jack replied, and kissed That One Guy on the forehead. “Bye.” He said, stepping back into his house and away. That One Guy stood there dumbfounded. “Bye…” He replied to nothing, and walked away in shock.
