Back at Kaida’s place… The phone rings nonstop. Kaida was lazily asleep in bed.
“Sigh…but I don’t have work till later tonight.”
She places the phone over her shoulders.
“What? An attack at this hour? Three hundred eighty-five injuries!”
Kaida didn't hesitate to bolt out in her pajamas. She quickly took her jacket by the door, leaving Auroa alone in the kitchen. A naughty grin slips his face as he removes the spiked collar from his neck.
“Something fun must be happening.”
A few hours later...
“What happened….The game…?”
Ken was murmuring on the field as three familiar faces looked over him.
“Wake up! Slackers! Our school pride is at stake.”
He slowly opened his eye. It was none other than the Taka Gang by his side.
“Bakas! You guys are alive?”
Magva Squid slaps him with a fan.
"The first day of senior year, you guys already got your ass kicked. You're making us look bad!"
“These guys are tough! That Baller guy doesn’t stop for one second. He’s like an iron train. Besides, I never play football anyway.”
Ken continues to get slapped.
"Excuses! Baller's nothing more than a try-hard. We never play by his rules. You already have the power! Our power!"
“His rules? Wait! Your power? What do you mean I have it? How do we even use it?”
“Just wake up!”
Ken wakes in a hospital bed with one final whack to the face. The stooges are seen patched up.
"You guys…I know we lost, but I felt…."
“We know! I felt those Baka’s too.” Hoji assured.
The gang's bandana is clenched in hand. Then, to Ken's surprise, Ryo's entire school team enters the room.
“We all felt their presence. This is a sign. Let us fight for you!” A student said.
“But you guys will get destroyed out there.”
The students refuse to back down.
"I know, but we can at least try together as a team. Seeing you guys badly lose while we cowered made us realize something. We don't deserve to be called men."
"After seeing what they did to Henji, our quarterback is in a deep coma. We can't let this go!"
“Yeah! Our school pride is at stake.” Yelled another student.
The moment left, Ken touched.
“You guys…thank you.”
Back on the other side with Baller…
"That's one hundred laps! Let's crash at the next party."
The monster arrives at the East Bay beach, bulldozing through an impressively enormous sandcastle. He slowly closes in on Ran's school.
Somewhere by the tennis court…
“Miyu! You’re up.”
Ran serves the ball over in her direction. Miyu proceeds to hit it back with all she got.
“You won’t beat us that easily.” Ruka jumped.
She hits the ball back, but Yoko proceeds to intercept the shot in Miyu’s path.
“If we win, we’ll see the Steel Specters show tonight!” Ruka yelled.
“White Diamonds is better! My darling Tanza is all that matters tonight.” Yoko bantered back.
Their competitive nature heats up as Yoko and Ruka eye one another. Ran and Miyu had a difficult time keeping up.
"Seriously, this was supposed to be an innocent game," Ran said.
"I don't even care which show we see," Miyu muttered.
A group shrouded in a fiery aura approaches from the distance. Miyu and Ran quickly took notice.
“Who the heck are they?”
Baller had his target set on the girls.
"Alright, boys! Let's show them the true spirit of the Magval army! Full thrust!"
Ran and Miyu continued to watch. Ruka and Yoko were still busy with their match, unaware of the impending danger.
“Are these guys for real?” Miyu wondered.
“I dunno,” Ran said.
Baller and his team took the form of a giant sun, ready to plow through them.
“Super Miracle Ultra Sweet Spinning Cinder Sun Vulcan Infinity Star Bomber!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“Why is the attack name so freaking long? My head hurts!” Miyu yelled.
The name distracted Miyu's mind, but it didn't fool Ran. She quickly moves Miyu out of the way, leaving Baller and his gang to crash into a brick wall.
“What the hell was that?” Yoko wondered.
The tennis match ends with Ruka scoring the final point on the court.
“I win! We’re seeing Steel Specters tonight!” She jumped.”Huh? Who the heck are these guys?”
