“Thank you for coming to the funeral. I know you are still wondering why we are under a tree, but it was what he wished, and you shall respect that”.
Tyler POV
When Emma was making her speech, my mom was gossiping like she always does.
“She doesn't even deserve to be here, she never even loved him, the poor kids are going to suffer because of her actions”. Said my mom Emma was heading our way, my mom was fixing my sister's bow and my sister was looking at me. I knew she was telling me to behave.
“Sorry for your loss” my parents and sister said. She was looking at me with a response, but I just shrugged my shoulders and said.
“What I'm not sorry I barely knew him, and I can tell he died a happy man from what I heard am I right Emma”? Her face had the biggest grin ever.
“Yes, you are right he did die a great man and Thank you for understanding”. My sister started crying; she knew what was coming next.
“How dare you embarrass us in front of the public you will be punished for this later” My dad whispered quietly. Nobody stood up because they knew there was nothing they could possibly do to stop him when the man said he would do something he does it.
Alex POV
I passed the kitchen to see my mom with headphones on and making lunch while crying even though she couldn't bare the abuse any more. I don't try to block out the cries with music any more. My brother always told me you can't block out what you already know. My dad came downstairs and smacked my mother.
“Stop crying”!
You know this has to be done. The boy needs to show some respect. We are always in the view of the world.
