Foreword:

Hello, I'm GameMaker8YT. The author of this light novel series. This is my first light novel and I apologize in advance for my inexperience. I hope you enjoy.

Arc 1: A soulless Ash  - Chapter 2.5: Together until the end of time

“We couldn’t find anything useful, I’m getting tired you know” Brandon says. “shut the hell up, Brandon if we can’t find anything we’ll just have to find a new job request” Wade says,  “You okay Amber?” Wade says

“I just hope Ash is okay…” Amber says, “what about Leon? Heh, just kidding” Brandon says. Wade opens summons the prism, “Okay, so there’s one job available… but, the job is a bit odd” Wade says, “How so?” Brandon says, “The description says “We have to talk and cheer up a man for a whole day so he is distracted” ” Wade says, “But why do we need to distract him” Amber says

 “Apparently the man’s girlfriend gave him a challenge where he can’t contact her or see her for one whole day” Wade says, “What a lame-ass reason” Brandon says, “Anyway it pays well so we’ll take it” Wade says. Wade, Amber, and Brandon started to walk toward the man’s house. “I hope this job doesn’t end up being really boring, we haven’t really gotten any big mission or task from the main headquarters, only the big Squads get those like Squad Armanda and Kaizen” Brandon says

“I heard that Squad Kaizen is working on finding the Amulet that summons the 3^rd Sentinel” Brandon says with an amused look on his face, “Who knows we might get those orders someday?” Wade says, “I don’t really want to take on those really dangerous missions, I want to retire from the military one day and…” Amber says, “And what, spend the rest of your life with Ash?” Brandon says, “Well, I think Wade will be transferred to Squad Kaizen, after all, you’re well-liked by the higher-ups, and our captain might be promoted” Brandon says. 

10 minutes later. Wade knocks on the door, “Hey we’re here to answer the request you put up on the prism billboard” Wade says, the man opens the door, “Please come in” the man says, “this man is surprisingly young” Brandon says. Amber, Wade, and Brandon come inside and sit on the seats available at the table. “Sorry for making you accept this request” the man says, “Why do you say that?” Brandon says.

“Because to most people this request would seem kind of stupid, a boyfriend who can’t even handle being apart from his girlfriend for a single day, kinda lame isn’t it” the man says, “Well at least we get paid right?” Brandon says, “Stop that Brandon, your being mean” Amber says, “If I may ask, what is your name sir?” Wade says 

“My name is Gilbert Licht, it’s nice to meet you” Gilbert says, “What are your names” Gilbert says, “I’m Brandon”, “My name is Amber *smiles*”, “I’m the leader of this squad, Wade Castro”. “We have two other members from this squad but, they are currently on another mission” Wade says, “Nice to meet you Wade, Amber, and Brandon” Gilbert says. 

“So, what would you like to do, to keep you distracted?” Brandon says, “Hmmm, I don’t know, what do you guys think I should do?” Gilbert says, “You ever try cooking?” Brandon says, “oooh, I love cooking” Amber says. 5 minutes later, “okay so we’ve got a bowl, butter, sugar, and brown sugar, as well as the rest” Brandon says, “All right we’re set, we are… going to make cookies!” Amber says, everyone has the most determined look on their face as they all jump together towards the roof. 

Brandon takes a “cup” worth of butter and puts it in the bowl, Wade takes what he thinks is 2 cups worth of brown sugar and pours in into the bowl, “Umm, everyone… I… I think I might’ve fucked up, I missed the bowl, there brown sugar all over the fucking floor!” Wade says, “No shit sherlock, Jesus fuck, we ruined Gilbert’s floor, what are we gonna do, Wade?"

Why’d you have to spill brown sugar all over the floor you fuck up!” Brandon says angrily, “Oh, don’t you start now with being a fuck up, you never met your parent's expectation, you shithead” Wade says, “Oh ho-oh, that’s not nearly as bad, as having your dick being the size of a fucking grain of rice, where the fuck are you even gonna put that thing, are you planning to fuck a fairy or something, huuuh?” Brandon says, “Umm, it’s alright you know, my floor is made of wood so it’s all right” Gilbert says, “Hey, you two stop fighting already, how are we supposed to finish the job if we keep fighting *pout face*?” Amber says.

“Shut the fuck up” Wade and Brandon say at the same time. Amber goes berserk and slaps Wade and Brandon in the face, as hard as she could. Time stops as they are both falling slowly to the floor, Wade thinks to himself, “Why does it feel good to be slapped by a girl? Have I become a masochist?”.

They both fall to the floor, “don’t you ever tell me to shut up, didn’t they ever tell you to treat girls nicely” Amber says, Gilbert starts laughing, suddenly the mood changes and everyone starts to laugh as they realize what just happened, as Ambers laughs, she says, “Now you two better apologize to each other”, They both say sorry to each other, 5 minutes later. “*yawnnnn* finally everything’s finally cleaned up, that took longer than I thought it would” Brandon says.

 “So now that cooking failed what would you like to do Gilbert? let’s eat Mochi!” Amber says, “Mochi!” says everyone simultaneously. As everyone is walking towards Kitt Mochi Wade asks “Hey, Gilbert so why’d your girlfriend give you this challenge anyway?”, “I don’t know, I was a bit surprised at first but, I think she has good intentions, maybe she just wants to see how loyal I am to her, she might be spying on us right now as we speak” Gilbert says, Wade has a concerned look on his face.

“Hey Gilbert, it’s Kitt Mochi!” Amber says. 

Everyone starts ordering, whispering what they want to Wade, while he has the most disappointed look on his face, they sit on a bench, “You know you guys could order this by yourselves, right?” Wade says, “come on, Wade you’re our leader, you have to satisfy the needs of everyone here, shit that came out wrong, this isn’t fucking Yaoi” Brandon says. 

“How does yours Mochi skewer Gilbert?” Amber says, “It’s great!” Gilbert says, “Hey so, now that we’re here why don’t you tell us about your girlfriend?” Brandon says, “You know the mission is to get his mind off her right?” Amber says, “I know, I know, I just want to know more about our client” Brandon says.

“Well, for starters Her name is Violet… Violet Acari, she’s really nice and kind, she doesn’t judge me, she’s perfect, we were friends since we were 14, she was the only friend I had, she didn’t care about my reputation in the city and how my father murdered 3 people, she wanted to be friends with me anyway, she always has my back no matter what, but… unfortunately she got sick few months ago now and she hasn’t been doing too well, so I’ve been working my ass off to try and pay the medical bills… I just hope she gets better I don’t know what I’d do if I lost her.” 

Gilbert says, “Well Violet seems great, I know she’ll be just fine, hey it’s almost the next day, I can’t believe it’s already 11:00 PM” Wade says.

“That’s awesome, just on more hour… You know I don’t know what I’d do without Violet, we need each other to keep living, *smiles*” Gilbert says. 1 hour later. “*yawwwn* I’m really tired, oh it’s 12:00AM now” Brandon says

 “Finally all this waiting is kinda hurting my butt” Amber says, “Just say ass” Brandon says. Amber pouts.

Brandon, Wade, Amber, and Gilbert start running towards the local clinic, which is where Violet was staying, 2 minutes later. “I’m so excited I can’t wait to see how happy she is” Gilbert says. 

Gilbert slowly opens the door; everyone has the most shocked look on their face. Gilbert falls to the ground, after about 30 seconds Gilbert had an emotionless look on his face, Gilbert kept thinking to himself “I’m an idiot, I'm an idiot, nothing good ever happens to this world, there is no god”.

Gilbert starts laughing while calling himself an idiot at the same time, meanwhile saying “I’m a fucking idiot, why… whyyyyy, Violet!”. Everyone has a sad look on their face, feeling sorry for Giblert as he stood there depressed and laughing. “Wait…Gilbert look there’s a letter, in her hands…” Amber says 

Everyone stares at the letter located on top of Violet’s chest covered by her hands, Gilbert stands up, and he opens the letter. The letter reads “You did it, my dear Gilbert… Now please do it every day. I… I Love you”. A tear falls from Amber’s face. As Gilbert has no expression in his face, he says “Violet…Can I…Cry now?”.
