The following days after that incident was chaotic for Nagomi. His schedule kept him busy and he looked normal but the emotions inside him were running wild, waiting for a single crack, a momentary weakness and all of them would break free.
Guilt and regret became greater than his love and affection for Haruto. He found himself in an endless loop of happiness and guilt. He wanted to tear himself up and give up on Haruto but how could he? He was the only light that kept him from straying in the darkness. Only warmth that kept him from shivering in the endless winter.
The only source to let it out was music. He kept writing and filled the once empty paper with the words he couldn't speak out. Immersing himself in music helped him forget his worries for a bit but it didn't change reality.
Living with Haruto meant knowing his parents personally. They had met a few times and were a really sweet person, they were kind to Nagomi. But if they knew their relationship would they be able to accept them. Would they smile at him with the same kindness?
Nagomi's POV
I slowly opened my eyes, yawning and rubbing my eyes, I shifted my gaze towards the window, the curtains were still closed so that means more sleep. I turned towards the side wanting to sleep more but I realised something heavy was pressing my waist. I turned towards it only to learn it was a hand.
A small faint smile hugged my face when I saw its owner sleeping peacefully with his lips parted. It was one of my little privileges to be able to watch his peaceful sleeping figure. His calm breath made me relax, at this point even a bit of the sleep that I had clinging to me disappeared.
I mumbled a quiet "Good morning" and quietly got off the bed careful enough not to wake him up.
After washing up, I prepared breakfast, both of our portions. Today I have the day all to myself, what should I do?
After contemplating for a long time, I decided to go to a nearby park to play with dogs. I left a note besides Haruto's breakfast and headed out.
A/N POV
"Shit! I am already this late." Nagomi gasped after he realised the time had already.
He petted "Miki", a labrador just got attached to, he bid farewell and left for home.
He was about to slide his card when the door flung open- revealing a woman in her 50s, she looked stunned at first but when she realised it was Nagomi her eyes crinkled and a smile automatically formed on her face. Nagomi returned the gesture.
"Mrs Abe, good evening. If I had known you would be coming today, I would have stayed home. Why don't you stay for a bit?"
"It's fine, you need time for yourself too." She insisted.
"I would love to but I have to excuse myself for today." Her bright face turned into a frown when she turned back to glance at Haruto who was watching the unfolded scene.
"And Haruto, think about what I said carefully."
Excusing herself she went to the elevator, leaving two boys in the doorway; one perplexed and the other a bit anxious.

Haruto and Nagomi plopped on the sofa. Both sat there in silence, the air got tense around them.
The brown-haired sighed. "What happened?" Nagomi gazed worriedly. The latter didn't speak a word rather pulled him into a hug.
"Wha-
"Let me recharge please."
Giving up on Haruto's antics, he top wrapped his arms around him, nestling a bit closer to his chest.
"It's okay, everything is alright." He whispered.
"So want to talk about it?" Nagomi arched an eyebrow with a playful smile on his face.
Plop, Haruto pushed Nagomi down, so that now he is under Haruto. His hands snaked around Nagomi's waist and placed his nose on the crook of his neck.
Nagomi understood, he was not ready to share it yet because one of his tactics of avoiding topics was skinship.
He stroked Haruto's hair and was about to close his eyes, giving himself in his embrace.
"My mom arranged a marriage interview for me."
The sentence haunted him, sucking away any form of solace he had within.
Nagomi who had never experience true love, learns to express himself through music, making a name for himself but he was far from writting his ideal song: a song that represents warmth.
Haruto who had given up on his dull life, finds himself captivated by Nagomi. A love story that bloomed between two souls interrwined by music.
