Killian grew annoyed as the day went on. And when lunch came around, Killian wanted to punch the wall. He couldn't understand why his emotions were so high, but his annoyance reached a level he had never felt before.
He threw his bag on the table while slamming his tray down. Furthermore, he sat with a huff, stabbing at his food with the fork in his hand. Engel watched on, "What's wrong this time?"
"Nothing," Killian huffed for a second before continuing, "I don't know. I feel extremely annoyed right now. Did Azra not come to school today?"
But before Engel could respond, Azra walked into the lunchroom, running his hand through his hair as he looked irritated himself. Azra and Killian's eyes simultaneously met, causing Azra's expression and demeanor to change.
He walked over, quickly sitting down next to Killian as he turned towards him, "Hey, baby momma." A teasing smile spread across his face; his irritated expression from before quickly disappeared like it was never there.
Killian choked—whether, from his annoyance reaching a breaking point or Azra's embarrassing words, all he knew was him internally choking.
Are you an idiot? Don't say that out loud are the words Killian wanted to say. But, something else came out.
"Why have you been ignoring me? I wanted to walk to school together." He accidentally blurted out his deep thoughts. His face automatically turned red when he heard the words he spoke.
Azra actually looked apologetic. "My sister heard me speak my thoughts out loud yesterday, so she figured out that I got someone pregnant. She is slightly jealous because she is trying for a baby; and ended up calling our parents, telling them. Talking with them pissed me off, so I threw my phone in anger and broke it.
"Then, when I got here, my uncle spent the rest of my morning lecturing me in his office about knocking someone up, responsibility, and fighting people. I would never ignore you, Killian. I cannot go a day without teasing you, and now—," Azra leaned closer before saying, "I cannot go a few hours without seeing or hearing you."
Killian's stomach felt like somersaults while his heart went into overdrive mode. Even his face fared no better as it stayed on the color red. Azra's words were too sweet and smooth towards the end, sticking to Killian like gorilla glue.
Okay, maybe his stomach felt like more than somersaults. Because as he opened his mouth to say something, he closed it again while covering his mouth with his hand.
Engel and Azra noticed the shift in Killian. More so Azra, since he has seen something similar before, but more prepared than last time.
Killian was going to throw up. Perhaps Azra's last words were too sweet to stomach.
Azra quickly shot out of his seat, catching the surrounding people's attention as he grabbed Killian's arm, pulling him up. Then, he ran away with him.
For some reason, the scene reminded everyone of a villain kidnapping the princess from a castle. Or even the princess and her secret lover running away. All in all, it was a bizarre scene.
As Azra dragged Killian to the closest bathroom, Killian's face scrunched up into a deep frown as he kept his mouth shut. The constant moving made his stomach worse, giving him a slight green tint.
When they reached the bathroom, which was thankfully empty, Azra opened the stall, pulling Killian inside with him. Then he let Killian go, locking the stall door behind him.
Killian instantly fell to his knees as he started hurling inside the toilet, emptying out his breakfast from this morning. Azra joined him on the ground, rubbing Killian's back.
Killian wanted to turn away and tell Azra he didn't need his help, but simultaneously, the back rubbing comforted him. Ah, he was a contradicting mess to himself when it involved Azra. The alpha threw him through crazy loops on a rollercoaster.
When is it time to get off?
After a few minutes, Killian stopped and started feeling better as his nausea finally disappeared. Baby, me and you will have to talk soon about making me throwing up. Killian fussed at the growing baby in his stomach.
Like father, like son, they are set on messing with Killian.
"Feeling better?" Azra asked.
Sighing as he continued sitting on the dirty ground, Killian wondered if his luck was honestly a teasing misfortune. When his mother was pregnant with his little sister, he barely saw her throwing up.
But here is Killian, close to reaching two months, and he cannot stay away from the toilet, it seems.
"Do I look better to you?" Killian stupidly snapped. Ugh, even my emotions seem worse than a rollercoaster! Shouldn't I be dealing with this later on in the pregnancy? Why now?
"Do you want to rest in the nurse's office?" Azra asked, letting Killian's snapping mood slide down him like water.
Killian shook his head, "I am hungry." He honestly was. After throwing up, his stomach settled, only to ask for food in the same minute.
Maybe, everything was worse because he was a pregnant alpha male. His hormones probably cannot deal with his pregnancy normally as they can for omegas and even betas.
"Then, let's return to the cafeteria. I am sure your buddy didn't leave your food sitting there alone."
No, Engel wouldn't. He is probably waiting for him to return.
When they reentered the cafeteria, Killian saw Aurora sitting at the table, messing with Engel, who faked his annoyance with her.
If he wasn't so hungry at the moment, he would have teased them by now. But instead, Killian sat down and started eating as Azra sat down with him.
Engel looked over at Killian, checking for anything before asking, "Are you okay?"
Killian nodded with a full mouth as he gave Engel a thumbs-up.
"Is something wrong?" Aurora asked, her brows furrowing as she looked between them.
"Peachy." Killian finally responded as he swallowed his food.
"I took care of it." Azra sounded possessive. He knew Killian and Engel were close friends, so he never felt anything about that. But, Aurora was someone he didn't know too well about her relationship with Killian, causing his shackles to rise.
Aurora admittedly raised her hands while responding at the same time with Killian.
"Woo, there, cowboy. Killian and I are only friends. I already have someone I like."
"Stop acting possessive; it is not like you and I are together."
Azra ignored what Aurora said, focusing on Killian's words instead. "You are right; I forgot a step. Do you want to go out? I owe you many dates."
The fork in Killian's hand dropped on the table as he looked at Azra with surprise. He shouldn't be surprised because Azra says a lot, but hearing those words had his ears burning. And maybe his cheeks. Or, just possibly, his whole body.
"I—what?" Killian's mind short-circuited once more.
Leaning closer in response, Azra said, "I have to be your boyfriend before your husband, right? I cannot just skip any steps. So, do you want to go out with me?" Azra was highly serious.
Fuck, fuck, fuck! Killian, say no, it is not like you like his tempting, handsome self. And how he could be stupidly horny and honestly sweet in the same minute. Or how he can be so smooth and childish at the same time.
Ah, why does my heart and sometimes my head fall for such a person? Killian screamed in his head, almost making himself dizzy. It is like the roller coaster started to hit faster than before.
Killian opened and closed his mouth, looking like a gaping fish before glancing away and picking up his fork. He stabbed it into his food while muttering with a low voice, "What do you think I will say, Azra?"
Azra beautifully smiled, always knowing what Killian wanted and thought. He rested his head on the palm of his hand, watching Killian with hooded eyes. "I really like every part of you."
Ah, someone, quick, shoot me because I must be dreaming. Not that I dream of Azra all the time! Killian might have lost his mind this time.
Well, you lose some and ultimately gain a devil (or is he more of an incubus) instead.
