After school Mr. Dias drives Ethan back to his place. “I have 2 rooms in my house. Unfortunately since I live alone there’s nothing in the other room, which will be yours. So you can sleep on my bed and I can have the cou-“ 

“No ! It’s okay ! I’ll sleep on the couch.” Ethan smiles at him, just grateful to actually have a nice home environment again. 

Mr. Dias: “Okay well, I’ll get you a bed as soon as I can, and some clothes.” 

Ethan: “I’ll find a job I promise. I’ll pay you back” 

Mr. Dias: “No need. I don’t want you to pay me back. Even if you did try pay me back, I wouldn’t accept it. Also, I was supposed to buy a bed and that for the spare room anyway.” 

Ethan: “Then I can pay you back for the clothes.” 

Mr. Dias shakes his head, his face with a look of disapproval. Ethan just smiles and goes quiet, not wanting to argue but also feeling a mixture of gratefulness and guilt. He feels bad that Mr. Dias is helping him so much and he can’t even give anything back, or do anything.

After them both sitting on the couch for a while, Ethan finally speaks up “I’ll do things around the house. If you need anything done, you can tell me. And please don’t say ‘no’ I want to give back something for all your help.”

Mr. Dias hesitates, then agrees. He didn’t think Ethan should feel the need to give anything back but he didn’t want to argue over it, so he just allowed it. 

Mr. Dias: “Aren’t you warm in that jacket ?” 

Ethan takes his jacket off, surprised as is he had forgotten he was still wearing it. Mr. Dias took it from him and hung it up on the coat rack at the front door. Mr. Dias then walks up behind Ethan and mentions a small tour of the house. Ethan stands up, following him around the house to get more used to it. “Make yourself at home” Mr. Dias says. 

Mr. Dias: “Do you have any spare clothes ?”

Ethan: “Not at the moment and I’m not allowed back to that house so I’m not sure if I’ll have more.”

Mr. Dias leaves Ethan and goes into his bedroom. Ethan confused on why he just all of a sudden left. Mr. Dias starts searching for some joggers and a top. He goes back through handing the clothes to Ethan.
