"Stop right there bandit", an officer shouted. Because it was the council people I was robbing there were more officers. About three times the usual amount. I made it halfway across the bridge before I was surrounded by police. I stopped when I realized I was screwed. "Get down on your knees"! I got down on my knees and put my hands in the air. "Give us all the stolen items, toss them over"! "There are necklaces in my back dress, can I grab them"? One officer nodded his head. I slowly reached for the gun in the back of my dress. I quickly grabbed it, stood up, and shot three of the nine officers.
One of them shot at me and I could see the bullets coming toward me. This was it, the end of my life, 22 years of shit. Well, at least I went out with a bang. Yet I couldn't help but become overwhelmed with fear and nervousness. My eyes widened and I let out a small scream. Suddenly it was like time slowed down and a small explosion went off around me. The same thing happened 10 years ago.
The bullets blew up and the officers fell. I quickly grabbed the stolen goods and ran back into Trap City. There it would be a maze trying to find me. 10 years ago when I was 12 I got into an accident that caused the death of my parents, and scars on my siblings and me. There's a scar on the left-hand side of my forehead from the 'accident'. I was in my bedroom playing with Tayo and Shego. We were playing with a glass bottle and Tayo dropped it. The glass shards flew everywhere.
I noticed one going for Shego's neck, and another for Tayo's chest. That's when it happened, the small explosion. That time it was larger and blew up the whole house. When I woke up my head was bleeding and all I could think about was finding my family. I found Tayo and Shego buried under some gravel. I looked around for my parents and they were nowhere to be seen. Since that day I haven't seen them. I figured I was old enough and from there on out, I raised Shego and Tayo.
When they turned 16 I allowed them to leave and start their team if they wanted. I don't see them much because I spend a lot of my time doing other things. When back in Trap City I went to my place and stared in the mirror. I stared into my blood-red eyes and wondered what was wrong with me. Now having these powers would have been normal if I was from RingTown. RingTown is divided into three sections and rulers. Each section is called a 'Ring' because of its circular shape. The three Rings are run by a councilwoman, councilman, and president.
Each Ring is a different lineage and holds the descendants of each. Each lineage has a different power. Councilwomen hold the power of speed which is passed down to them when they marry the councilman. Councilmen hold the power of super-strength, while the president's lineage ends up with random power or a mix of their parents. So the only way you have powers is if you're from RingTown. My parents are bandits, and so were their parents, and their's, so on a so forth.
It would be a while before I could show my face in RingTown again. One to let things cool off and two to figure out what the hell is going on.
RingTown, a province where everyone is successful. Yet you can't say the same for the ones who live across the bridge, in Trap City. A place where every coin has a crime behind it. Two towns of opposites, how will they mix?
